@Indigogirl88 I had the exact same balancing act! Factoring in that I really like and respect my boss so didn't want to mislead her. Thankfully we are both sorted !

roarfeckingroar · 22/05/2020 14:09

@NWnature where in London are you? It's gorgeous today !

BooMamaBear · 22/05/2020 14:58

Lovely scan pics girls xx

CouscousEvaporator · 22/05/2020 15:03

Guys! All is healthy and lovely but they can’t tell if pink or blue!! So I’m yellow for now 💛

HerondaleDucks · 22/05/2020 15:13

I have a really good relationship with my manager so I told her when I was 10 weeks and being sick.
She's been really supportive and is working on helping me to get the best maternity leave and has been really kind.
She was on the zoom gender reveal call and everything.
It was very useful cause at 11 weeks I had that big bleed which was really scary and she was very supportive.
I've been told that we won't be returning to office until september which is when maternity would be due to start. So she's happy with me working from home until then. She even had my office chair delivered to my house so I was more comfortable. Which was no mean feat as I work in Southampton but live in Salisbury.

I am so relieved I don't have to do my commute whilst pregnant.

I've had a headache today and felt a bit rubbish. So just taking it easy today.

HerondaleDucks · 22/05/2020 15:14

Congrats on all the scans today. It's been such a happy week!

Also... the baby's head on the cupcake was delicious.

roarfeckingroar · 22/05/2020 15:29

@HerondaleDucks 😂😂

Quiffy · 22/05/2020 15:38

Ive just bought Fanta Lemon on eBay as I've never heard of it and it sounded amazing. I need my PayPal taken off me...

So glad all the scans going well

NWnature · 22/05/2020 15:39

Aww congrats @CouscousEvaporator 💛💛💛

@roarfeckingroad I’m in north London near Hampstead Heath. How about you? I’m going to the Royal Free , which I’ve heard is so so but it’s really close to us so makes sense.

NWnature · 22/05/2020 15:41

@HerondaleDucks she sounds fantastic! Helps to have support from work and not another layer of worry. I miss my commute at the moment for chill out podcast time but I know that being at home (near the loo) in leggings is really a blessing!

Zaalfruit · 22/05/2020 15:55

Ahhh such cute photos and lovely up here about all the scans and the new teams !!

And loving the stories about naughty uncooperative babies - when I had my scan I drank a luzacode to make the baby wriggle to the right position after they pressed on me I was more concerned that I might piss my pants 🤪

@HerondaleDucks that sounds so good and the less stress the better. The commute is about 40 odd mins right . Atleast you are comfy aswell . I still am using a fold up chair that makes my bum hurt after a while .

@NWnature - I was at royal free originally but I moved to chase farm hospital - royal free parking used to stress me out and I found the hospital too big - I know thats a silly reason but it just used to scare me 😳

@Quiffy it’s soo good - make sure you try it in October aswell incase now you think it’s tastes funny !

roarfeckingroar · 22/05/2020 16:47

@NWnature ah, I'm in Wandsworth Town, registered at Chelsea and Westminster. Hampstead must be gorgeous in this weather.

20 week scan at 08.50 tomorrow!

Congratulations to all on your scans. Seems like there’s quite a few naught babies in this thread that don’t want their measurements taken!

Loving all these naughty cats - to be honest cats like to think they are the boss and do what the hell they like. 😄

@HerondaleDucks sounds like your boss is great! It’s a small world - I live in salisbury too.

I’m amazed at those of you that have managed to keep the secret of pregnancy until 20 weeks, I would never have managed it, plus I look obviously pregnant now.

@roarfeckingroar hope your scan goes well, nice and early time too.

NWnature · 22/05/2020 17:34

@Zaalfruit I know what you mean! It’s a mega hospital, it’s been ok the last few visits as it’s so quiet. I hadn’t heard of Chase Farm will check it out!

@roarfeckingroar ah lovely I bet C&W is brilliant. You are so nice and central.

BntTowers · 22/05/2020 17:54

I've been on the phone to my mum, she wants to come through and visit. In the open space of the development we live on. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with it yet, I know lock down rules have been relaxed but I just want to stay safe in our little bubble. It's hard for both sets of parents as this is the first grandchild on both sides so I do feel a little bad about saying not yet. I've not seen her since the beginning of march and normally see her about once a month. I think I might just say let's wait another month or so...

LostinAusten2 · 22/05/2020 18:15

Hey huge congrats on all the scans today 🥳 🥳 lovely news and so happy for you!

And on the job front - yep still working full time here too and counting down the days to October! I love my work (tho not my boss) and I thought being pregnant would be just putting on some weight whilst working like normal (a few late evenings a week, some work at the weekend), and I just can’t do it anymore... 6pm it’s dins or things get hairy, and then I have to do a beached whale impersonation on the sofa... 🐳

HerondaleDucks · 22/05/2020 19:10

@LexiM oh wow that really is a small world!

I know what you mean @BntTowers it's hard to know what to do for best for the parents right now.
I haven't seen my mum since march and I normally see her twice a month or so. She lives in Weston Super Mare so she is pretty isolated right now. Just glad she has kind neighbours looking after her.

Treacle81 · 22/05/2020 19:39

Congrats @Buzz22 💕 and @Glitterbug86 💙 that’s 13/9 girls! I like the taste of Lemon Fanta, always used to get it on hol as v refreshing but fizzy juice does not agree with me unfortunately. I’m enjoying some lemonade in my diluting juice these days tho! Just finished work and working tomorrow and Monday (extra money for baby things). Have a good night girls xx

Glitterbug86 · 22/05/2020 20:38

Can't remember when I last had a Fanta lemon but after all the
talk of it... 😁

Treaclepie19 · 22/05/2020 20:43

I'm on the fanta too! Fruit twist for me though. Couldn't get any lemon.

OP posts:
BooMamaBear · 22/05/2020 22:16

@Quiffy -you can buy Fanta Lemon in Morrisons! I'm drinking Fanta orange atm but Fanta lemon is my go to drink when we go to Spain (if it's before 12pm or I'm not drinking!) it's really refreshing! Xx

MrsD1990 · 22/05/2020 22:24

Haha I'm all about the Fanta these days too - switched out my daily diet Coke for a Fanta orange. Now want to try lemon!

BooMamaBear · 22/05/2020 22:35

@Treaclepie19 -are you on Aspirin? The Dr told me to start taking it at my last scan and continue folic acid as well as the vit D! if so how much are you on? Xx

Treaclepie19 · 22/05/2020 22:41

Nope I'm not @BooMamaBear. They've not told me to take anything other than folic and vit d x
