@buzz22 that scan 😂 right little gymnast there 😂 congratulations on team pink xx
I’m waiting to go for mine now!!

CouscousEvaporator · 22/05/2020 11:52

Ooh and congratulations @NWnature xx

Quiffy · 22/05/2020 11:53

@NWnature Siamese are so funny, I have an Oriental, a Ragdoll, an Abyssinian and a Persian. They all think they are descended from royalty. I did have a Siamese but she was getting bullied so she's at my parents now and is a total diva - they also have a Snowshoe (who thinks he's the better child than me), an Abyssinian and a Bengal. Total high maintenance handfuls the lot of them. You should hear the racket ours make if their nightly cooked chicken is provided any later than 6pm on the dot. Tbh I think baby will just be welcomed into their gang of bad where Dh is the ringleader and I just live here hehe.

So glad you got everything - home and relax now!

@otterbaby boxes are life! I tried to get rid of one of our perches a few weeks ago and it was the end of the world so it's still here. I also spent last weekend reupholstering and adding scratch string to this yoga mat thing I got them years ago. BEYOND SPOILED.

@buzz22 yay for team pink and everything okay! That scan is brilliant

roarfeckingroar · 22/05/2020 11:54

@BntTowers I'm sorry your dinner wasn't good! It feels really crappy when it's like someone just can't be bothered to do something properly for you. My DP is working away during the week recently so I'm only eating exactly what I want which is pretty much only Stilton and apples, but you've inspired me to head to the butcher today for something really meaty. It's just a bugger it had to be cooked well done.

@LexiM I have a similar problem with my partner not eating regularly in the day and having no interest in breakfast. He's great otherwise but I really wish he would grasp that I need to eat first thing or nausea hits in.

@bluemoon2468 I'm not back in until next September / October either. It feels like a very long time. I'm still working full time but we won't be back in offices until late September when I'm leaving for maternity.

BooMamaBear · 22/05/2020 12:04

My little girl seems to have got stronger with my placenta at the back not cushioning anything her kicks have got harder no idea what she was doing at 2am but she was hard kicking me for a while it woke me up -I could actually see the hardest ones on the outside as well as feel them-DH was asleep but he had felt her kick softly before!! Xx

roarfeckingroar · 22/05/2020 12:05

@Indigogirl88 congrats on your baby girl! Your grown adult partner cried because it isn't a boy? Bloody hell. I would struggle to sympathise I'm afraid. I'm glad he's pulled his head out now and I hope you find some gorgeous things to buy Smile.

Gorgeous scan photo @otterbaby 😍

Is anyone else who's still working full time absolutely devoid of motivation? I feel like I'm wading through treacle and my head is a big ball of dense fog and I just cannot be arsed this week. I haven't told anyone aside my boss because we're hoping to present a plan of how my mat leave will be covered as a done deal, so no one thinks twice about sending everything my way. I just want to snooze.

Quiffy · 22/05/2020 12:18

@roarfeckingroar Yep, I should be writing right now but I'm on ebay, here and thinking about lunch. It's too hard to concentrate on anything and I cant tell anyone I'm pregnant - I'm freelance so people will start looking for a replacement right away so I could end up with no work.

roarfeckingroar · 22/05/2020 12:43

@Quiffy oh that's tough. What industry? I'm not writing the strategy doc but I am writing Haikus about not writing it....

Quiffy · 22/05/2020 13:04

@roarfeckingroar Atm I'm doing online dating landing pages - lots of hot cougars, uniform dating and chat room dating - the joys haha. A strategy doc sounds way too laborious, Haikus on the other hand sound very fun!

MrsD1990 · 22/05/2020 13:06

Yay congrats on the scans @Buzz22 and @NWnature!!! ♥️

Had a midwife follow up call this morning. I had loads of questions because I haven't seen a midwife since booking in appointment. All seems good though and fingers crossed I get to use the birthing centre to give birth, they sound really good!

Love all the cat chat. We've got a cat too, she's not allowed in our bedroom at night time because she wakes us up - it was hard when she was a kitten and she'd cry to be let in but now she sleeps when we sleep and comes in every morning for cuddles. She can open the door if she really tries which is quite worrying for the baby - hopefully we get to move house in the next two months like we have planned and the new place has doors that are harder to open.

As for motivation, I'm with you guys. Still working full time but especially days like today when I've had very little sleep (need to pee in the night!) It's tricky to get my work done!! The sooner I get it done the sooner I can log off though!

Glitterbug86 · 22/05/2020 13:10

Had my scan this morning and all looked good. We are team blue 💙 She wrote it down on one of the pics so I could open it with my husband but later referred to him as a "he" so I kinda already knew..

Congrats @NWnature 💛 and @Buzz22 💖

Congrats @Glitterbug86 !!

BecLJ · 22/05/2020 13:18

Congratulations @NWnature 💛 @Buzz22 💕 and @Glitterbug86 💙! Loving the scan photos

BntTowers · 22/05/2020 13:21

@roarfeckingroar I'm working full time still, but currently have a few days off. I've only told my team that I'm pregnant, tempted to tell a few others so hopefully they will relax a little, but I doubt it.

I'm so tired today. Naps will be required.

BntTowers · 22/05/2020 13:21

Congratulations on all the scans, such good photos. W

BecLJ · 22/05/2020 13:21

@roarfeckingroar yes I'm still working full time and now just keep getting distracted and thinking only xx weeks to go until maternity leave!

roarfeckingroar · 22/05/2020 13:24

@BecLJ @BntTowers naps for sure and general procrastination. It's a cliche but I could've finished this by now if I put half the effort into doing as I have into whining / avoiding.

BntTowers · 22/05/2020 13:28

@roarfeckingroar I'm finding it really hard to get back working after lunch.

roarfeckingroar · 22/05/2020 13:31

@BntTowers I'm finding it really hard to work out what to have for lunch and the longer I wait the more nausea and WHY TF isn't DP here to cook for me Grin. I might eat fresh anchovies from a pit I bought yesterday.

BntTowers · 22/05/2020 13:35

Ha, I'm stuck in a rut of eating the same sandwich every day. Need something different.

Indigogirl88 · 22/05/2020 13:38

@roarfeckingroar yep snap, I just had a fanta lemon and it was life! I dont want to go back to working

Well ladies I have told work my due date, they were shocked but ok, I decided to tell them today so I can enjoy the bank holiday

I dont know if its psychological but I've definitely felt more kicks since the scan!

roarfeckingroar · 22/05/2020 13:44

@Indigogirl88 Fanta lemon sounds incredible.
I'm going to venture out and hope sugar and chemicals kick me into doing some work.
Are you further along than they thought? I had a tricky one because I was on a temp contract and had to navigate signing my permanent one with telling my boss all during lockdown. I'm very lucky it all worked out well.

Indigogirl88 · 22/05/2020 13:48

@roarfeckingroar oh similar, basically I started my new job then found out a weekend later so basically I'm in probation so had to be tactful unfortunately to make sure I told them after I have been signed off my month one and two without looking like I've purposely withheld it from them. it was a hard balancing act

Glitterbug86 · 22/05/2020 14:00

Thanks ladies ☺️

I haven't told work yet either... was waiting until after the 20wk scan so going to tell them next week 😬 I'm a bit nervous to tell them, dunno why really as have been there a good few years etc. I've been working from home since March but even before all that, I'd planned to wait until at least 16wks to tell them, or even 20wks if I could get away with it and it wasn't obvious by then (and I def could've got away with it)

NWnature · 22/05/2020 14:02

@roarfeckingroar and @indigogirl88 that’s good you’ve told work and all sorted.

Thanks all for the well wishes! So relieved it’s done hurrah!!!

Cute photo @Glitterbug86 💙

@Quiffy your cat gang sounds awesome! I’m very jealous!

Weather has brightened up here in London so going to enjoy the rest of the day off and long weekend.

Honestly thanks again to whoever set up this group. It’s such a lifesaver. I’m a bit crap with keeping up and tagging people’s names etc but it’s such a lovey little outlet to have. 💛
