And love the pic @HerondaleDucks 😍

Treacle81 · 05/06/2020 19:26

Congrats! @HerondaleDucks Girls- need to vent! Not feeling great at all but dropped partner off at friends ‘garden’ 30 mins away as first time he’s had any company in months. He sent me a pic of him patting their damn dog and has recently sent me a vid of him in their home!!! Absolutely livid! I’m expected to pick him up now! He has asthma and obv I’m pregnant. How irresponsible and selfish! His pal is a policeman- he if anyone should know better!!! 🤬🤬🤬xx

FourPlasticRings · 05/06/2020 19:31

Sorry about your nightmare @blankiesandunicorns. They're so vivid when you're pregnant, aren't they? I had one my first pregnancy where there was a ghost keeping this guy trapped in the grounds of a stately home and there was this dead horse.... Not nice.

@MsSian do you have to have insulin or is it just diet management? At least the extra scans will break the rest of the pregnancy up a bit.

FourPlasticRings · 05/06/2020 19:33

Excellent news @HerondaleDucks

I'm not surprised you're annoyed @Treacle81- if my DH did that he'd be making his own way home.

blankiesandunicorns · 05/06/2020 20:12

Yes @FourPlasticRings they're super vivid. Sleeping is definitely being effected generally now as well.

@Treacle81 think you're within your rights to be annoyed!

LostinAusten2 · 05/06/2020 20:23

Congrats on the scan @HerondaleDucks 😊 And so glad it’s the weekend, so much sleep to catch up on! x

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 05/06/2020 23:05

@Treacle81 @Spark27 @Treaclepie19 how strange, I also had ibs before being pregnant and was on anti spasmodics but since being pregnant I think I had one episode because was really stressed when corona first arrived just before lockdown and how it would affect the baby if I was to get it etc but since then I've had nothing. Normally I can't have much milk but since pregnant I'm drinking loads and craving loads too and have been fine it's like a miracle!!

I've ordered some I think 2.5 togs, I hate the heating on at night I can never breathe properly when it's warm so our house at night is cool. Obv will make sure babies room at the right temp but it won't be a hot room for baby just the minimum safe temp id say. Ordered the tommee tippee ones where you can button the arms in so they feel swaddled or unbutton when they're ready. I wanted these really fancy ones (can't remember the brand) but totally sold out of the tog and size I need.

@HerondaleDucks ah lovely pic and glad went well

@blankiesandunicorns oh sounds horrible the dream, I've always had vivid dreams but I must admit they do seem to be worse now pregnant.

I seem to finally be having pregnancy cravings, for the last week I'd say it gets to just before bedtime and all I want is loads and loads of fruit and a big glass of milk! That must be my craving!

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 05/06/2020 23:11

This also sounds a bit random but I've just looked at my app and it says baby will weigh 1.1pounds on mon when I'm 22 weeks and just got a bag of flour out weighed it and it's the same and it felt so heavy! Much heavier than I was expecting baby to be at the min! Partner was shocked too!

BooMamaBear · 05/06/2020 23:27

Lovely pic glad your scan went well @HerondaleDucks

You're just a day behind me then @AutumnBabyWinterMummy I'm 22 weeks on Sunday how us there still just over 18 weeks still to go when I already look like a house??!

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 05/06/2020 23:30

@BooMamaBear I know!! Lovely bump pic!! Sometimes I just feel huge and heavy already but this is just the beginning!!

Ahh everyone’s bumps are coming along lovely🥰

I need to take a bump pic !!

( I have had really bad constipation for the last few weeks- tmi I know but anyone got any tips ?)

Today’s plans to watch as much tv as possible - my choice of films and tv shows and dh has to sit through it with me .

HerondaleDucks · 06/06/2020 09:42

@Zaalfruit juice up a fresh watermelon and it will help! It's a failsafe for my dss when he was bunged up because he used to get really aggressive when he was constipated. Bless him.

Lovely bump pics everyone!! I'm officially 23 weeks today. Going to tackle another coat on the baby's room today.

BooMamaBear · 06/06/2020 10:24

My bumpie was taken when i was 21w so a week ago tomorrow I try and take one every week to put in my app so I can see how much it grows every week i think it's bigger now too!!
@Zaalfruit -I eat cereal a couple of times a day and drink lots of water that usually helps me go if I get bunged up but things like kiwi fruits, prunes and figs are supposed to be good too!! Xx

LexiM · 06/06/2020 14:40

Lovely bump photos ❤️❤️

Well I had a meltdown in B&Q today. I know nothing about DIY and my step Dad had given me a rawlplug and drill bthanks to use to fit our new large bookcase to the wall. I hadn’t told him it was a plasterboard wall so the rawlplug just fell through the hole! I went to B&Q didn’t have a clue what I needed, the man I asked was no help and I just had a total meltdown (luckily after he left). In the end my step dad sent me a photo and I got the right type, I then realised it big print above that section it said “plaster board”. I cried all the way home. It’s my first meltdown since being pregnant, and so stupid! I was just overwhelmed and tired. 😂😂

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 06/06/2020 16:10

@LexiM aw I know exactly how you feel. I'm very emotional at the min! I got a response from a company I complained to and I thought their response wasn't great so I sent a massive email back that was totally over the top and as soon as I sent it I instantly felt sad for the person who has to deal with it 🙈🙈 i kept checking my sent items to re read it (it's not even that bad, it's all polite etc!) nearly sent one back saying "I'm really sorry just ignore everything I said I'm pregnant and emotional" 😂

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 06/06/2020 16:12

@BooMamaBear yes time does seem to be dragging!! I'm pretty bored today for this first time really since lockdown which doesn't help. I just want to go for a nice meal at a restaurant. I also take a weekly bump pic! Sometimes I can't be bothered putting make up on so I just cut off the top of my head!!

@Zaalfruit oh sounds like a lovely day!!

Xx

blankiesandunicorns · 06/06/2020 16:20

@Zaalfruit dried apricots, blueberries every morning with my breakfast and generally eating fruit everyday keeps me regular.

Zaalfruit · 06/06/2020 19:42

Ooh thanks everyone will try them
All over the next few days .
The watermelon juice sounds yum ! I struggle with cereal since being pregnant , milk just grosses me Out .

What is going on with the weather- hail , rain?

Ahh @LexiM one breakdown is fine 🤣 I had a break down on a call with HR as they didn’t send me my chair . I was in tears as they said another week. She could tell I was close to tears and said she will try her best and then it got sent to me the next day. We are pregnant and hormones are everywhere .

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy I work in complaints we don’t take it to heart . We get told all the time most likely the persons having a bad day - don’t take it Personally .

I want to eat out as well with my husband - every Saturday night we used go to a new restaurant. I don’t think before baby comes we will have a Saturday night date just the two of us .

BooMamaBear · 06/06/2020 20:05

@Zaalfruit With my first I couldn't stomach milk not even in tea until the third trimester when I could just manage a bit of skimmed milk -I don't have much milk in tea or on cereal anyway but I've not had a problem with milk this time!
She been a little tinker today I spent ages trying to get her to kick this morning and she only moved slightly but didn't kick no matter what I did but now she won't stop kicking and turning!!
Xxx

LexiM · 06/06/2020 21:55

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy and @zaalfruit thanks for making me feel better, I knew it was bound to happen but couldn’t believe I hadn’t really cried yet! Part of me was thinking in my head “this is ridiculous” and the other part couldn’t help it! 😂

Overall i’ve had a productive day, we finished the bookcase and built this baby wardrobe, can now finally store everything that’s piling up in our room. I also framed these prints for the nursery. I’ve got my priorities all wrong - still got a half painted ceiling but I’ve got some prints haha! Bet it will take me another 6 months to put them on the wall.

We also collected a Tutti Bambini Bedside crib today, in perfect condition with a mattress protector and sheets. I’ve been looking for one in our area second hand for a couple of weeks, so had to get it and I can’t stop looking at it. Feels a lot more real now!

@LexiM looks great! You've been a very busy bee.

I hope you feel a bit better now!

Indigogirl88 · 07/06/2020 07:48

@LexiM looks lovely! I had a meltdown in Asda yesterday and though it kept it together quite well my dp was shocked as I'm usually really reserved!

Bought some more girlie outfits so cute and reasonable in Asda

I tried to have a productive day yesterday I made a list of all things we still need to get and so I know what to do.

Dp still doesn't want to venture to shops even when they open so thinking I'll just carry on buying online for now.

The bump pics look so cute I'll do one today Grin

I'm trying to track movement now as conscious I wont necessarily be having another scan

Is everyone getting movement now? I know there was a couple saying they still hadn't felt anything x

Lucylou37 · 07/06/2020 08:18

Hey @Indigogirl88 I have been feeling movements on and off for a few weeks (am 23 weeks today) some days much more than others! I had a bit of a panic the other day. I was deliberating whether to call my midwife, but decided to as that is what they are there for! I explained my concerns and she was really reassuring and said that we tell you to start monitoring the babies movement at 28 weeks. She said at this point the baby can move some days and you'll feel it and other days you might not! I then spoke to her about any other little niggles I was worried about (this is my first pregnancy) and she was really helpful and understanding! I'd really recommend giving your midwife a call on Monday and speaking to her, as for me speaking to a professional helped put my anxiety at ease xxx
