@Indigogirl88 sorry I forgot to add at 28 weeks, she said you would be able to notice their routine by then, but this early on it is still a little sporadic!

NWnature · 07/06/2020 08:44

I still haven’t felt anything that’s a definitive kick. Seeing the midwife on Tuesday so hopefully they can reasssure.

Nursery plans look great! Our house has been an abandoned building site since last year because of planning permission problems and then corona but it looks as though the builders might finally start this week! Keeping everything crossed. It’s a massive job though so I think it’s pretty unlikely to get finished before the baby but our architect is optimistic and will be piling on the pressure hopefully! It helps we aren’t living there so that usually helps the builders speed up a bit. I really hope they can do as would love to be in there when the little one arrives and get nursery sorted etc.

BooMamaBear · 07/06/2020 09:02

Not even started our nursery yet it's currently got a double bed and built in wardrobe-we've got most stuff already though from DD but might need a new Cotbed I think we're gonna decorate it then pit the double bed back in and change it to a nursery at 6 months when baby needs it as then my parents can come up and stay if they're allowed when baby comes!

My baby kicks every morning and night from 19w (I'm 22 weeks today) though she didn't kick till the afternoon yesterday but I usually wait for her to kick before I get up but didn't yesterday!

Woah 22 weeks today 18 to go! Xx

Buzz22 · 07/06/2020 09:12

@Indigogirl88 I was one of the people who hadn't felt movement yet but can confirm it has begun this week! Wasnt sure at first if I was imagining it or if it was general bodily functions but DP but his had on stomach and felt the biggest poke yet! Since then in have noticed them on and off the past few evenings. Very subtle usually with the occasional one DP can feel.
My placenta is high so I feel movement very, very low down.
Like someone else said I'm not going to start counting kicks till later on. My midwife told me 28 week I think?

Lovely bumps ladies. Mine is definitely growing but looks so pointy! The consultant that scanned me on Thursday said my uterus is still retroverted as I have an extremely titled cervix. Apparently it usually comes forward at 12 weeks if you are retroverted, but mine is obviously being held back still. It's why they had so much trouble completing 20 week scan.
Heres my bumpdate. I'm 22 +3

Morning ladies. It's my viability day today, yay. 24w! Feels like its flying by, but also dragging, if you know what I mean.
I've been getting a lot of movement, but this is 2nd time round, and we're all different. I do have a few days where I worry if I've not felt anything for a while, so I've downloaded one of the kick counting apps. I also find if I stop and actually lie down I usually feel her again quiet quickly. I think being busy with DD means I dont recognise all the movements.

I'm now gradually trying to stock up on things in my weekly shop. Nappies, cream, etc. I really recommend getting in some Infacol. We hadn't heard of it before we had our DD and it was a lifesaver. Ordered a new rug for the nursery too as I want this one to have some new things. I am jealous of all you getting to buy the furniture/prams/decorate, etc. But I'm not jealous of the expense! xx

Aquablue1123 · 07/06/2020 10:37

Hey girls :-)

I've been feeling and seeing loads of movement since last Monday, and DH too so he's so happy. He has been quiet the last couple of days though but I'm just hoping he's in a different position.

Loving all the bump pics.

Mine is coming along now, I haven't been able to go out walking the past week as I've felt really run down so feeling big.

I'm 22wks + 5 now eek.

My pram arrived on Thursday so excited about that and I've been ordering other bits and pieces too. I feel all over the place though haha I have loads of browsers open of full baskets waiting to press purchase 🤣 DH won't like the credit card bill this month 😬.

Hope everyone is ok. Xx

HerondaleDucks · 07/06/2020 10:49

Ladies. My DH is in the doghouse.
Neighbours had a social distance BBQ yesterday afternoon, by 8/9 the drinking started. I went home as I was tired fairly early and it was cold sat in the garden.

My DH came home at half 1... having drunk 2 bottles of Port. He spent 50 mins puking in the bathroom. I hadn't been to sleep yet so was wide awake and the smell... oh god the smell. I told him to sleep downstairs but he climbed into bed anyway and stunk so I couldn't sleep. At half 5 I gave up to go downstairs but then I saw the bathroom and it made me gag. Oh god it was vile.

I was desperate for a wee but I couldn't go in there it was so disgusting so I ended up doing a pee in the back garden...

Finally had some sleep on the sofa but I'm just raging.

LexiM · 07/06/2020 10:51

@Indigogirl88 I can properly see baby move now and have had regular movements this week, tends to be morning and evening in bed. That being said I think it’s really important everyone knows their own body can be different and not to compare to others although that’s hard. I’m 21+4, but have a high posterior placenta, hence why I can probably feel them so well. I’m not starting to overly think about the movement until I’m 24 weeks.

@Aquablue1123 lovely bump. What pram did you go for? Must be so exciting to make such a big purchase, we are still holding off on it for now!

Here’s my crib and bump photos (featuring my awkward arm)! I shall probably try and refrain from buying anything else too big this month, it’s hard though, I’m always researching everything although have got tonnes of stuff yet I feel now I could go mad! My friend who’s due her second in September said she’s got us some bits from John Lewis that she found useful with a newborn. It’s so kind of her as she’s already giving us her sons clothes as she’s having a girl this time. I’m trying not to get too much until we see it and it’s hard to guess what gifts you may get. Everyone keeps saying you get given so much stuff but I don’t like to presume and feel I should get some stuff!

LexiM · 07/06/2020 10:52

@HerondaleDucks sorry to hear about your husband, sounds like a nightmare - I would be so mad!!

Aquablue1123 · 07/06/2020 11:02

@HerondaleDucks ah no way, I would defo be raging too. I hate it when DH has a few too many beers, he is like a dead weight in the bed and I just worry Incase I may need him.

@LexiM ahhh your bump is so cute and neat.

I went for the Doona UK, my 'mum' friends swear by it and they are on their 2nd and 3rd child. Then I will get the yoyo for 6months +, I think the Doona will work for us as we are constantly in and out of cars etc, not the prettiest of prams but practical and I need all the help I can get haha.

I love your crib, I went for the Chicco next to me but it was a close call with this one. I know people do say you get a lot of things bought for you too, it's hard to judge what you may need. I understand why people may make registry's for baby showers now!

Xxx

HerondaleDucks · 07/06/2020 11:05

Loving all the bump pics.
I've been gifted 2 moses baskets... so I'm obliged to use them. I was just going to see how it went and then upgraded if needed.

I love how we have all started nesting and getting organised!

Spark27 · 07/06/2020 11:26

I'm thinking of getting a cleaner booked in for middle of Sept. Just a one-off deep clean focusing on kitchen, bathrooms, ensuite etc. I dont have a cleaner, and obvs usually clean the house myself, but I'm thinking how nice it will feel to be heading into labour knowing that those areas have been deep cleaned and dont need to be worried about for a bit. And to not have to do them when I'm huge. Worried it's just me being lazy though, esp as I'll probably be at home fulltime

BooMamaBear · 07/06/2020 11:48

Lovely bump pics ladies!

I sound same as you @LexiM I have a high posterior placenta and I can see baby kick and move she kicks morning and night too everyday since 19w though I first felt kicking at 17w it was just less frequent then and sometimes missed a day shes started kicking after lunch too if I'm sat down!

I'm 22 weeks today but won't be counting kicks til 28 weeks that's when my consultant said I need to count them from! Xx

Treaclepie19 · 07/06/2020 12:15

@Spark27 I'd definitely do it. We had a deep clean done just before Christmas and it was so lovely to not have to worry about it.
I may do the same!!

Lovely bump pics everyone. Just off to read back properly!

Treacle81 · 07/06/2020 13:28

Hi girl! Love seeing all the pics. My bump is very low down I think. For the first time this morning I woke up and just felt ‘pregnant’ getting heavier, hardly slept, achy back, swollen chest! The lot! @HerondaleDucks men are an absolute nightmare at times!! Yea just voicing the same, mw said from 28 wks should monitor movements. I’m on 23 (tomorrow) so ages yetxx

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 07/06/2020 17:03

@Zaalfruit I was thinking the same, I'd love a date night before baby but just unsure if it'll happen now.

@LexiM glad you feel a bit better! And good idea getting bits sorted now makes easier to store!

@Indigogirl88 I was also one who said wasn't getting movement but think for the last 3 days she's started moving. Quite often as well. Definitely not ever felt anything like this before in my body so it must be it! But I wasn't worried still until I think until I was 24 weeks then I would have. I'm 22 tomo.

@NWnature how many weeks are you? I'm 22 tomo and only just last few days started feeling things. Sounds exciting about the house! We have loads to do to our house we bought it last nov but getting there now.

@Spark27 yes you're right so expensive but exciting when get everything! I'll be glad when I've bought everything just so don't have to spend any more money as it's stressing me a bit! I have bought a few bits second hand so trying to save where I can!

@Aquablue1123 exciting! I love the doona, it really is amazing. I'm a nanny (posted about it before on here) and it was a lifesaver! The little one I look after lasted in there until she was about 12 months, she is quite little though. Hoping to get my pram tonight! I've also heard about the yo-yo it sounds good.

@HerondaleDucks oh what an eventful night you've had!! I would be really mad too! I think people are acting strangely because of lockdown easing everyone's getting a bit too excited and carried away. Xx

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 07/06/2020 17:07

@Spark27 good idea re the cleaner! I have in my phone diary "deep clean inc cleaning carpets" (even though they will all be only a few months old!) for just before due date too. I'm also going to make loads of food to stick in the freezer hopefully.

Is anyone planning on having a baby shower? My mums suggested we try have an outdoor socially distanced one in aug in her garden with gazebos etc. She has a friend who owns a Prosecco cart (basically for everyone else apart from me 😩) and I have a cousin who makes amazing cupcakes. So maybe that's what we will do xx

otterbaby · 07/06/2020 17:54

Cute bump pictures today, ladies! My belly button is officially part of my silhouette Confused my little lady is thrashing about as usual, I'm sure it won't be long until everyone else is feeling it as well!

I wanted to share this cute little wall hanging I got...a little cheesy maybe, but I thought it would be nice to get something to commemorate having a "lockdown baby" (even though we were all pregnant before this happened!).

@babymama09 I've been thinking about you the last few days, I hope you're managing alright x

otterbaby · 07/06/2020 17:56

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy I'm not sure yet if we'll be having one. Yours sounds like it'll be lovely though! I'm sure some appletiser in a flute will make up for the lack of Prosecco 😂

Was chatting about a babymoon today. I think going abroad is a bit out of the question at the moment, so maybe just two nights away in a little cottage or by the beach! Get some peace and quiet while we can.

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 07/06/2020 18:32

@otterbaby oh I love that!! And so true!!
I don't think we could have afforded a baby moon and do our house up and buy all baby bits so in a way I'm quite glad I won't feel like I'm missing out because doesn't look likely an abroad trip will be ok even if we could afford !! 🙈 xx

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 07/06/2020 18:36

@otterbaby but like you say a nice little coastal stay would be lovely ❤️

babymama09 · 07/06/2020 19:00

Hi girls, sorry not been on to update, hydrops has been Confirmed in all of the babies major organs. I have been given until 21 weeks and 6 days to decide whether to end the pregnancy by tablet as if I chose to end after this they will physically inject her heart to make it stop which I will Not do. Its cruel. I have also been told if she tried to breathe after birth they will not save her they will leave her to die. Or I can choose to wait for her to pass in the womb. I have been trying to process this information as I am so upset and angry at the lack of anyone even attempting to help her. I have read stories online about people getting the fluid drained whe. Babies born or having shunts in etc but they haven't offered me any of it. I have also found out that genetic testing has been avail for two years and they could have run tests on my daughter from 09 as they have her skin cells to determine what causes the condition and haven't done it instead I have been told th3y are waiting for my baby to die before they will perform any genetic testing. I plan to make this condition as work widely known as possible. Haven't had chance to catch up on the posts but I hope all is well with you all. Xx

LostinAusten2 · 07/06/2020 19:15

Hey @babymama09, sending you love and hugs - so sorry about your news 💐 I can’t imagine what you’re going through, and I think being angry is very reasonable! You’re entitled to a second opinion so please do see if you can have another expert’s view on it all. Best wishes x

otterbaby · 07/06/2020 19:18

@babymama09 that's terrible, I'm so sorry that they're not being flexible with your options. Is there a possibility of seeing a specialist who might be able to advise of anything that could help?

We had to make the decision with my last pregnancy at 16 weeks whether we would let her pass naturally or take a tablet to induce labour so I can understand the turmoil you're going through. I hope you're able to get some more information soon x

Treaclepie19 · 07/06/2020 19:28

@babymama09 sorry to hear they're rushing you. Have they explained why? Is it that the condition is too severe to be able to help? I apologise I dont know much about it.
I will say though the injection to stop the heart isn't cruel. I had it with my last baby at 22+2 as he was very poorly. It's about weighing up the life they will have or not have.
I would second getting someone else to talk to if they're not explaining everything thoroughly and discussing options.
