Hi everyone, sorry I’ve been quiet.
The NHS scan went well, baby was well behaved and they got all the measurements they needed in and out in 30 minutes. Must be that full fat coke I had 😂 it’s definitely team 💙💙 - both scans said there’s no mistaking it!! I feel glad they could confirm for sure. We are the first to have a boy as our first born in his generation and our generation so that’s nice. It was funny because the private sonographer said “well the genders obvious then” - showed us the area and moved on. Whilst that made it quite obvious after we left both my husband and I said we were glad just as we finished he said “definitely a boy” as we felt stupid asking for clarification 😂😂
My husband wanted to keep it a secret so I had to pretend not only that we didn’t know but that my husband hadn’t been to a scan as originally we said we would only find out the gender if he could go to a scan. I’ve been squirming on phone calls the last two days, thinking carefully about saying he, but after my husband was teasing me today we agreed to tell people! I said a few days before finding out that I actually wasn’t so bothered about finding out the sex but I’m thrilled we have, I already feel more of a bond than before knowing.
@Zaalfruit my husband was so disconnected from everything before we had the scan, he didn’t really want to talk about the baby and said he “didn’t know as he hadn’t seen it”. I expect your husband is similar but will come round once it’s here.
My friend who found out she’s having a girl and it’s her last child has offered us lots of clothes she saved in case this one was a boy too so that’s lovely.
@Treaclepie19 glad all was ok at your scan, I appreciate the confusion if they don’t say the sex 100%, I would be the same, although I guess this is always the case for girls.
@Buzz22 sounds like your baby is just too comfortable in there, hope you have better luck when you go again! It’s hard because you want baby to move enough to get the measurements but not so much they can’t either.
