@Buzz22 -gosh 11lbs!! My friend had a baby laying in its side and wouldn't budge but she was happy had a c-section in the end coz she was 10lb 9oz snd my friend is only small!!
My baby currently is on 38th percentile so though I do want her to grow loads hopefully she won't be too big!!

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy -thanks hun! Are you due 12th Oct then? Xx

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 24/05/2020 11:26

@BooMamaBear yes due on 12th, are you 11th?
I don't really understand the percentile thing yet, do they tell you about that at the 20 weeks scan? The private scan just said baby was the exact size to the day for a 19 week 5 day baby x

BooMamaBear · 24/05/2020 11:49

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy - yep 11th - they only told me coz she thought i would be huge coz of my bump so she said she was quite surprised -they didn't tell me with my first you can probably ask if you want to know xx

Indigogirl88 · 24/05/2020 12:00

Thanks so much for your offers of support ladies it means so much. He is definitely having a wobble so I've ordered him a personalised scan frame with a lovely (not cheesy) daddy quote and I'm hoping that will cheer him up.

Fell back asleep for a few hours here and so carbs and meat is required Grin

Lucylou37 · 24/05/2020 12:17

@lexiM is my other half's mum did that I would be so annoyed! Your poor friend xxx

BooMamaBear · 24/05/2020 12:26

That sounds lovely @Indigogirl88 -I'm sure he'll come around by the time baby is due and definitely when baby comes! Xx

Indigogirl88 · 24/05/2020 22:40

He seems to have been more himself today, I think it's probably because I accepted I was wrong in some ways, but I'm still glad I told him. Hey ho got to move on. I've done nothing all day other than chill and eat. Hoping for a better day tomorrow

Hope everyone has had a good day xx

HerondaleDucks · 25/05/2020 05:49

Some of my neighbours got drunk in the sun yesterday and were cat calling my dh cause he was rebuilding another neighbour's fence. (Single woman) and they were joking all day about him being paid in her bedroom if you know what I mean. I could hear everything through the window, cause it was too hot for me outside.
Dh ignored it. But came back in yesterday for a shower and then got changed to go have a social distance with another neighbour in their garden with a little fire.
The other neighbours start catcalling again, which Dh ignores but it upset my dsd who shouted at them to shut up because he is married.
One of them kicks off at my dh and tells him to f off (its Dh best mate- we are all a very tight knit community and all friends)
Anyway I get my dsd run in, full blown tears because she felt she started a fight.
I dunno what it was... my pregnancy hormones I guess. But I went full mumma bear and marched out there to tell them off for making her cry over a stupid joke that's gone too far.
Cue rowdy neighbour screaming in my face that he doesn't care he upset her. And that we can all f off and, I dunno I went over totally calm to tell them they were out of order but yeah having a 6ft 5 man scream in your face will set your hackles up I suppose. Dh intervenes and pulls me away.

But I've been super agitated since and it made me cry, but like angry cry. And I am not normally like that. I think pregnancy has changed me!

Sorry for the random rant but been awake since 4 and all anxious!

Indigogirl88 · 25/05/2020 08:19

@HerondaleDucks rant away dont worry! That was super insensitive no matter how much they might have been your "friends" I'd have been the same, and it would have taken all my courage to go and say something. What they said about your dh is totally unfair.

I've got rowdy next door but one neighhours drinking outside till god knows when having bbqs when I've got washing out and their dog yaps all day so my dh said something in the end.

I'd have been up anxious as well Flowers

Treacle81 · 25/05/2020 08:24

Morning girls @HerondaleDucks sorry to hear that happened to your family, drunken idiots! My advice would be to sit (think you meant your daughter? her down and just explain that when people are drunk, best just to ignore anything they say. It’s a shame, she was only sticking up for her dad. Your husband done right thing ignoring them but you felt the need to protect your family which is only natural too. Hope it all blows over. I’ve had a few rowdy nights from people above, signing sectarian songs, using foul language, it’s just the worst! Especially bad when during the wk and you are working next day! Just thoughtless idiots! I had a terrible nightmare about my son which woke me at 02:30 and never managed to get back to sleep for hrs! I’ve had a few of these dreams now and when I get them I sometimes am too scared to fall asleep 😔 they are just awful! I’m working today but going to squeeze in a work out before I start, can see it far enough but not done one in ages! Apparently now is the time to make sure I’m active as appetite is increasing- 21 weeks today xx

Spark27 · 25/05/2020 08:40

Sounds pretty horrid @Herondaleducks, good on you for speaking up. Hopefully there will be some neighbours with some sore heads today and feeling very embarrassed about what they did. Daytime drinking can be a recipe for disaster.
In the last week one of my next door neighbours have decided it's ok to have groups of people round in their garden. So they had a some round Saturday night, and then last night had different people round. It's in their own garden, but it's annoying. How come I cant have my parents round but they can invite a stream of people over. What do they do about touching glasses, or needing a wee, etc? That's my rant.

Had a crap nights sleep again. Only managed about 3hours. It seems to come in waves. A few days ok and then a few days bad again. Fortunately DH isn't working so I might try for a nap later x

Quiffy · 25/05/2020 09:13

Ahhh I missed your message @AutumnBabyWinterMummy super congrats on you girl

CouscousEvaporator · 25/05/2020 09:16

@HerondaleDucks I would have reacted the same to be fair. Your poor dsd. Hope they all feel suitably embarrassed at having a go at a young girl today!!

@Indigogirl88 glad your DH is coming round now.

We’ve booked a private scan to try and find out sex. Will be nice for DH to be there as well.

I’ve spent soooo much on baby these past few days, think I’m pretty much done now, just need a few clothes (which I’m really struggling with!! I can’t find newborn stuff anywhere!!)

It’s supposed to be really sunny today so I hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday!

CouscousEvaporator · 25/05/2020 09:17

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy congratulations on your girl as well 🥰

Treacle81 · 25/05/2020 09:52

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy I missed this too! Congrats 💕xx

NWnature · 25/05/2020 09:53

Ooh what did you buy @Couscousevaporator?

I so wish we could go and browse baby clothes. Just not the same online and you’re right so little in stock.

I bought my first things this morning! An Aden & Anais sleeping baby and some swaddled muslins. My bff sent me a list of her essentials from when she had her first last summer and is kindly going to lend us bits and bobs like a bouncer and what not.

I think we have decided on the Bugaboo Fox as main pushchair and then I have my eye on the Babyzen yo-yo for later down the line and travelling etc.

FourPlasticRings · 25/05/2020 10:35

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy congratulations on the scan and your membership of Team Pink!

@Indigogirl88 I'm glad things seem to have blown over with your DH. Hopefully he'll feel quite silly about it all by the time the baby arrives.

@BooMamaBear I've got the dimple too! I'm absolutely huge for only halfway through, but baby is bang on the 50th centile for two of the measurements and slightly above for one of them but I can't remember which. For anyone else wanting to know, in my maternity notes the scan results are stuck in the back and there's a page of graphs that you can work out the centiles from. Might be true for some of you too?

I've got nothing for baby2 except a baby blanket I crocheted for them a long time ago- before baby2 was even conceived! DD has one too, but baby2's is nicer in my opinion. Wondering when to start sorting DD's baby stuff in preparation though. Probably not for a couple of months yet.

Hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday. ☀️😎🍨

BooMamaBear · 25/05/2020 10:56

@FourPlasticRings -it's gross isn't it coz your belly bottom goes really soft too! Dr thought mine would be at least 50th judging by my size - there's no way my bump can keep growing at this rate for the next 20 wks I'm already much bigger than I was a coupe of days ago!
50th centile is average isn't it?

I really need to find a comfy way to sleep -my left hip wakes me up most nights even with my pregnancy pillow!

I hate it when people just so blatantly go against guidance this is why we could end up with a second peak then we'd be in full lockdown again! Xx

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 25/05/2020 10:57

@HerondaleDucks hope you're feeling better about the whole thing today. Sounds very annoying and totally uncalled for!!

@FourPlasticRings @Treacle81 @Quiffy thanks so much ❤️

I'm 20 weeks today so feeling very happy about that!

Although I am feeling pretty anxious today, I started buying baby things yesterday (hadn't bought a thing until then) and made a list and by the end of the day I'd literally almost ticked everything off the list, including a big shop from boots (online) for nappies, toiletries, just little bits etc. But its stressed me out thinking about the money I've spent, just feeling anxious in general. But at least I'm doing well with the baby buying I suppose xx

FourPlasticRings · 25/05/2020 11:15

@BooMamaBear I can't bear to touch it without clothes on. Or look in the mirror. It freaks me out when the belly button pops. shudders

50th is right on average. I measured big last pregnancy too, but DD was born on the 45th centile- it was all water, basically. I have a friend whose bump was tiny but literally all baby- you could feel its spine through her skin- and she birthed a ten pounder!

Treacle81 · 25/05/2020 11:25

21 weeks today and feeling great after work out ☺️ xx

Spark27 · 25/05/2020 12:09

Hey ladies, just seen on another chat that its 20% off on the ASOS app today, of anyone's interested x

LexiM · 25/05/2020 12:30

@HerondaleDucks sorry to hear about your neighbours, your poor step-daughter, I can see why she was upset with them.

@BooMamaBear it’s my left hip too that causes me discomfort/pain. Sometimes at the front and sometimes at the back. It’s worse at night or when I’ve been doing lots of physical things.

Really happy today as I got to see baby kick for the first time, I’ve felt it but it’s the first time I’ve seen it. It was good timing because I was lying down in bed and I told my husband and he saw the second kick and felt the third. Typically he/she stopped after then but it was still lovely and he was so pleased! It’s the first real sign in person that he’s had that there’s a baby in there 😄

CouscousEvaporator · 25/05/2020 12:31

@NWnature I am sooo hoping we can go out and look at clothes soon. It’s the only thing I’m really holding back on.

I bought: a cot, a next to me style cot, playmat, a couple of toys, a few nappies, a bath, already have the pram, and a storage container, a changing mat and some small Muslins and bibs 😂😂 it was very much a once you pop you can’t stop... we’ve been saving since we found out in January.

The thing that caught me off guard was the price of slings!!! So expensive!

@Treacle81 lovely bump 🥰

CouscousEvaporator · 25/05/2020 12:33

@LexiM aw that’s lovely.🥰 My DH is currently not patient enough to wait for the big kicks 😆
