Just had my letter through for my first scan two weeks tomorrow, I’ll be 12+4.

It says nothing about people not being able to come, but I will assume that DH can’t come. He’ll be taking me in the car anyway, so will at least be outside for any news etc.

@YahBasic my letter didn't either! It did come with an info booklet though and they'd crossed through the part about someone coming with you. I think I will call them the day before and check 🤞🏼

Hello lovelies! So many new names on thread three! Struggling to keep up with you all!!

I've finally got the date for my dating scan, 28th May 👏 super excited! But same as some of you are saying there isn't much info with it! Just turn up here at this time with a full bladder! And a leaflet about fetal anomaly scan, which will be useful in another 2 months time 😂

I think I'm finally starting to feel a bit better, I'm still a bit nauseous in the mornings, but not as bad as previous weeks and I'm starting to fancy normal foods again in the evenings! Let's hope this continues!!

@Marshmallow1102 I know I'm losing track of everyone now. There's so many of us!

Are you about 10+ weeks now then? Congratulations on the scan date!! Have you had an early scan? I can't remember.
Oh I'm so jealous your sickness has subsided.. mine has taken on a whole new level over the past 7 days.. I'm now sick every evening! Which is rubbish. Literally my partner comes home from work, we sit down for dinner and bam... I'm off to the toilet 😩

This is definitely a side of pregnancy people dont share.. it's only once your pregnant yourself that people start saying "oh yes I felt horrendous" 😂 my sister said with her last pregnancy she had no sickness.. but now she's sharing all the gory truths with me haha.. turns out she was sick from the second her period was late but didn't want to scare me 🤦🏻‍♀️

@djmbaker Yes I am! Going by due date early scan gave me I'm 10weeks today. Yes early scan on 8th measured 8+3, interested to see if it changes much at nhs scan!

Noo! 😔 That's so rubbish for you! Hoping that you start feeling better soon! Are you not going to bother with anti sickness meds? They've been a life saver for me!

Hahaha! Why do people lie?! I'm actually one of the firsts to be pregnant so no one to talk to about it (other than mum and MIL)! This will be the first grandchild, and first baby in our friendship group which makes it a bit scarier! Can't wait to tell everyone how awful it is 😂

Sounds so exciting that everyone's scans are coming up. Mines not until 15th June which seems ages away!

Doctor diagnosed me with HG and said I had to go on meds for my sickness otherwise would probably end up in hospital! Took first one last night, so far so good have kept everything down and even managed a carvery sandwich! Which compared to me living off a jacket potato at about 7pm for the last 3 weeks is a massive bonus!

@djmbaker I found that no one told me how bad the sickness can be! Although to be fair to most of my friends since have still said they weren't really that sick so maybe it's just some of us!

@Aimz15 I've been on anti sickness meds for 2 weeks but they're just not working. Spoke to doctor today and shes putting me on some different ones. Do you mind me asking what you're on? I'm eating but I'm struggling to drink

Really struggling to get a hold of the midwives in my town. My boss would like a letter to say i can return to work in June but just need proof. Hoping they ring me back this week.

Has anyone bought a baby name book yet? Fancy getting one but not sure which is the best one.

@Snapper81 I've been given promethazine, I was advised by others that may have to try different ones. It may just be a good day today anyway so not getting my hopes up fully!

What meds are you on? Hopefully you can find one that helps, I know how awful it can be 😔

Is anyone else melting this evening not sure if it's a hormone rise or the sun shining into my home but I'm boiling 🥵 tomorrow is going to be warmer I'm planning to get the pool out for an hour and just lay there 😂

Plain pasta for me tonight not quite fancying anything.

@aimz15 I've been on ondansetron but going to try cyclizine as from tomorrow. All worth a go 🤷‍♀️

Late to the game but omg thread 3!!! Woohoo!!

How is everyone? Yesterday was migraine central for me so was very cranky especially trying to work and stare at a screen all day.

Today is gorgeous! First time in ages I'm not shivering and bundled up 😂
Also managed to get my healthy eating kick back (minus the very healthy all butter croissant laced with more butter and jam).
Tonight it's tofu, veg and rice noodles (for some reason all my cravings have become meat free and all the Asian flavours and spices)! I'm usually a carnivore!

How is everyone this evening?
Is anyone finding they're getting some weird cravings and aversions?

@Marshmallow1102 aww that's lovely that your the first. How nice! I am the last 😂😂 I don't think anyone expected me to have children.. my mum has even said in the past that she doesn't think I'll have one.. so it's a bit of a shock I think. Whereas me and my partner always knew we would, hopefully one day.

Well I've spoken to my midwife and doc and to be fair because I'm only sick once a day and just suffering with nausea they are reluctant as it's not stopping me eating you know? So that's a bit pants. I'm just relying on the sickness bands and orangina right now! 🤢
I don't feel too bad tonight but I think that's because I've tried to eat every two hours.

Ive got a scan on Sunday so I'm hoping for good news 🙏🏻 I should be about 8 and a half weeks.
Your so close now, they say symptoms get easier once you reach the second trimester don't they? xx

@ElectricTonight I felt boiling all afternoon all of a sudden, then went out for a walk and actually it's not even that hot outside

@Snapper81 definitely stick with them and keep trying. I may have been fortunate with this one, hoping that it continues and may only need to take for a couple of weeks before it should naturally settle a bit anyway.

@djmbaker No way did your mum say that!! How did she react when you told her? Everyone was super surprised at our end, but they've been on at us to have kids for about 7 years 😂

That's a shame, I was given tablets without being sick at all just for the nausea because I said it was stopping me from doing my job and was struggling to eat.

Will keep my fingers crossed for your scan, seems like so long since your last one, be sure to post a picture, can't wait to see the difference! 😊

Feeling still super grotty but its all feeling worth it tonight! Measuring 8w0days due 29th December v strong heartbeat was such a good experience!

I cried a little bit with relief when I saw the heartbeat pumping so good!

@Elmlee thanks for your reply it was a bit of a downer. I am in north wales just under one hour to Chester, Lpool or Manchester so it's quite a handy place to live. Xx

I've had some pink discharge on wiping this evening after what feels like a whole day of lying in bed feeling rubbish.
Me and DP DTD earlier on today so I'm assuming that caused it. Fingers crossed it will stay away.
If I have no more, do I just ignore it ? X

I’ve just plucked up the courage to ring my mum to tell her and she’s not bloody picking up! I’m genuinely so nervous about telling her and have no idea why.

I've just had a call from my midwife, I have another UTI... getting sick of them now!! This will be my 3rd lot of anti biotics!!! 😩😩😩😩 the last load made me so poorly which is annoying as I don't have any symptoms of a UTI to begin with.

Beautiful day today, I'm having my usual banana sandwich breakfast sat outside. I can't eat until 10.30/11 every day 🤢🤢🤢
