@wannabebump Aw thank you 😊 Congratulations to you too! I'm also in Scotland (Forth Valley) and was told the results will take 2 weeks regardless of low or high risk. She said if it's low risk, they'll just upload the result onto the app but if it's high risk then I'll receive a letter in the post with an appointment. It does seem like every hospital has it's own procedures and timescales. Needless to say, I'll be checking the app constantly for good news and hoping there's no letter...

Oatmilk1 · 08/05/2020 10:20

Delurking...

I had my screening blood results back by the end of my scan. So my sonographer was able to write up a report with my new risk factors (all low) that I took home with me that day. My scan did take an hour but still seems that was very fast.

Meanwhile I had to chase the results of my booking in bloods which were taken at the same time...

SqidgeBum · 08/05/2020 10:24

I had my booking in bloods 5 weeks ago and never heard a thing back. Was I supposed to? Confused I thought the midwife would call if they showed something odd.

Oatmilk1 · 08/05/2020 11:15

@sqidgebum - they get uploaded to the maternity notes app where I am. I think they call you if there is anything wrong though. I was worried I was anemic which is why I chased mine.

Crispaddict99 · 08/05/2020 11:30

@Oatmilk1 Wow that's incredibly quick! Wish my hospital could do it all on the same day.

My booking in bloods were taken at my booking appointment on 7/4. They told me the results would be uploaded to the app within a few days but I ended up phoning 2 weeks later to chase them. They told me over the phone they were all fine but didn't update the app until Tuesday there, about an hour after my scan. This is what worries me about the screening results, as they appear to be running behind with updating the app. But I'll phone in 2 weeks if I haven't heard anything. Or probably before then knowing me.... 😂

bluebell94 · 08/05/2020 11:33

Just checking in, hope you're all well! Had my scan on Monday, went great 👍🏻 Baby was asleep so the sonographer said come on then do a wiggle and she proceeded to wobble my belly and my flab was doing a Mexican wave up to my boobs and I just burst out laughing 😂 but it worked, baby rolled over and did a few little dances but I felt bad for waking it up ha! Thinking of booking another private one in a few weeks so DH can come. 12+5 now 🙂

Was determined I didn't want to know boy or girl but have been all over daft skull/nub theories since - DH keeps telling me off! I see no nub - boy skull? No idea!

Can I ask what app everyone is referring to? I don't have one and worried I should!

Natopp · 08/05/2020 11:44

Is anyone else finding their habits have changed since being pregnant? This is my first baby and pre-pregnancy I always kept a really tidy house, stayed on top of laundry, hate mess, etc.. And now I couldn't give two flying hoots if there are dirty plates in the sink or washing piling over the basket. My hubby says I've calmed down and I'm less OCD. He says he is enjoying leaving dirty socks on the floor and me not yelling at him for every little bit of mess, as now I'm the messy one 😂😂

Maybe I'm just much calmer and it's because I have bigger things on my mind!!

Anyone else feel their mindset and outlook/priorities have changed?

I feel like all I care about right now is resting, eating as well as I can and growing a healthy baby

bluebell94 · 08/05/2020 11:46

@FilthyforFirth I think some trusts are using an app for maternity notes. My trust isn't, I have my paper notes in a folder Smile

HarrietM87 · 08/05/2020 11:48

I was given the option of app or notes and chose notes...I prefer hard copy!

Hancock2020 · 08/05/2020 11:53

Aww, lickle bump 🥰

FilthyforFirth · 08/05/2020 11:55

Ah ok. Thanks! I was given notes, no mention of an app. No folder though which the organiser in me was dismayed with though!

Addler · 08/05/2020 12:02

@Hancock2020 Your bump is so bloody cute!

Unfortunately I am much flabbier than all of the bump pics so far so I think I'll just look as fat as I normally do until the third trimester Hmm

Pink15 · 08/05/2020 12:05

@Hancock2020 such a lovely bump - wish I had one! I'm slim but not showing yet just look a bit bloated by end of the day!

HarrietM87 · 08/05/2020 12:07

@Hancock2020 you look lovely! I just look fat still!

Happythecrocodile · 08/05/2020 12:54

Thanks @Pink15 @SqidgeBum I am trying to reassure myself that if the epu didn’t want to see me then it can’t be too bad. I just don’t really know how to distract myself from thinking about it for the next 3 days. I was already nervous about the scan but now I’m going to be a right mess come Monday!

wannabebump · 08/05/2020 15:18

I got the app and a file thing with notes as well. I like the app for continually checking for the screening results 😂

I'm also less OCD...cant really bring myself to be bothered about mess & house work! So much I've put an app on my phone with all the chores to split them up to a little each day so I at least feel a bit productive!

I can't wait to have a bump, make it feel more real as sickness and sore boobs have gone now! X

Hancock2020 · 08/05/2020 15:41

Has anyone else had like a stitch like pain on one side that hasnt subsided most of the day, I thought it might have been maybe my bladder was full but its definitely not Confused

wannabebump · 08/05/2020 15:48

@Crispaddict99 just re-read your post - we're the same NHS trust 😊

AnxiousLady1 · 08/05/2020 16:03

@wannabebump There's an app for chore planning?? What is it?! I just know!! I write everything in lists on my phone but if there's an app I'm intrigued.

I'm another one that has let the house and chores slide big time. Now I'm starting to feel more human I'm doing things a little more, but I find I'll do one thing, have a sit down, maybe do something else, then sit down again. I still get a little tired. Not sure if the lack of motivation is pregnancy or complacency from being in lockdown 😂

Pizzamyhart · 08/05/2020 19:16

@Hancock2020 I've also had a weird stitch pains as well. I assumed it was to do with stretching and things moving.

littlegem84 · 08/05/2020 20:24

Hola!

My bloody MN notifications are dreadful and I am so behind, just managed to catch the new thread so hi again 😀

wannabebump · 08/05/2020 22:05

When I had my booking appointment, the midwife spoke about free nhs dental treatment after the 12 week mark and I think she said about a form when I went for the scan. I had my scan last week but no sign of this form etc. I don't really want to bother them by phoning and asking, but I'm going to have to give in and go to the dentist pretty soon 😫

littlegem84 · 08/05/2020 22:29

@wannabebump you should definitely have a look online and see if you can download or give the midwives a call. I got given the form when I spoke to my surgery's receptionist when I was 7 weeks pregnant so worth making sure it hadn't fallen through the gaps 😀 (although I know all trusts are different).

Happymama24 · 08/05/2020 23:32

Hi @anon5555 I had small amount of bleeding too next to sac. They didn't seem too concerned. They said if it was still there closer to labour they would investigate further
