I’ve just been to the loo and had a bit of spotting on the tissue, I’m now completely stressed because I had a miscarriage in January. I haven’t had any pain or cramping today though. I don’t even know who to call tomorrow if it continues, as doctors will be closed tomorrow and I wasn’t given any midwife details at my booking appointment Sad

wannabebump · 07/05/2020 21:30

Marking my place on the new thread 😊

MS pretty much gone, just feel "yucky" from about 7pm onwards until bed. Still tired but managing to not nap during the day to get a reasonable sleep at night.

Closest family & 2 friends now know, otherwise it's still a secret until the screening results. Feels like such a long wait - checking my notes online like every hour for some kind of result!

I'm gonna stick to here rather than FB if that's ok 🙂

Started to look at bits and pieces online, not buying anything until probably 20 weeks but nice to look 😄

Fouryearslater · 07/05/2020 21:35

All good info on the nappies and wipes. Think we could definitely go with the cheeky wipes - you go through so many of the others!

My scan is also a late one, on the 22nd May. Two weeks to go! Will be 13 weeks according to lmp.

FilthyforFirth · 07/05/2020 21:46

Ah welcome scan date buddy @fouryearslater! I think we are both suffering from HG to, no? I am finding ondansatron a game changer this time round. It is helping so much with nausea as well as stopping the vomitting.

I will be 13+1 though they put me 2 days back today so I guess perhaps 12+5 in reality. Though I am really hoping they move me forward if anything!

Amytitch · 07/05/2020 21:57

Hi everyone, am I allowed to jump into this? I am due towards the end of November! My 12 week scan is booked for 20th May although I did have an early reassurance scan a couple of days ago as my mind was going crazy. X

Fouryearslater · 07/05/2020 22:03

@FilthyforFirth late babies and hg to boot! The ondansetron makes such a difference but they are desperate for me to wean off it. I can manage just about on 1 a day (the evenings are grim but I’m not sick) but as soon as I stop taking it I’m back to the crippling nausea and vomiting. I don’t want to be back in hospital again so am going to argue the toss until it eases! Need to get more suppositories though Blush

Crispaddict99 · 07/05/2020 22:03

@wannabebump I'm the same, checking the app every few hours to see if my results have been uploaded. I only had my bloods taken on Tuesday and was told it will take around 2 weeks. But somehow I can't stop myself from quickly checking, just in case... 🤦‍♀️ We haven't told anyone yet and I'm desperate to share our news! I'm 40 and this is my first pregnancy. I don't think anyone in my family thought this would ever happen for us (neither did we!). I just can't wait to see my mum's reaction 🥰

Addler · 07/05/2020 22:12

Welcome @Amytitch! Nice to have another late one to join us end-of-monthers!

BuffaloCauliflower · 07/05/2020 22:18

@Happythecrocodile I’m sorry that’s crap, I’m not sure what to suggest. Hopefully it’s a one off, it’s pretty common. Was it fresh blood or a smear? I had a bit of red blood that was from my cervix being sensitive rather than from inside

Happythecrocodile · 07/05/2020 22:35

Thanks @BuffaloCauliflower. it’s sort of pink, almost a bit dilute looking. I’ve remembered the hospital mentioned a number you can call between 8.30-9.30am so I’ll try that in the morning. My scan is booked on Monday though so I’m worried they’ll say just wait til then and I’ll have a horrible weekend of waiting and worrying. I know it’s really common, it’s just that’s what I told myself last time and it was a mc, although that was a lot earlier than I am now.

Addler · 07/05/2020 22:45

@Happythecrocodile Whenever I've had a pink tinge like that during pregnancy it's been from irritation to my cervix, sometimes from sex. I hope you don't get any more Thanks

anon5555 · 07/05/2020 22:59

Hello!

I had my official 12 week scan today - due Monday 16th November - congratulations evening! Baby is doing well :)

Has anyone else had bleeding? I was in hospital earlier this week and I found out that I have bleeding behind the sac. I've had 3 scans this week and the area of bleeding has got smaller, and the bleeding is now a lot lighter. They have said that we have to just see what happens, usually the bleeding will be absorbed as the baby gets bigger. I wonder if anyone else has experience this xxxxx

anon5555 · 07/05/2020 23:02

@Happythecrocodile Sorry to hear this, just to follow on from my post below my bleeding happened on Sunday so no midwifes or GP. I went to A&E and then maternity consultant saw me. I was called back Monday morning for early pregnancy unit. If you call 111 you'll get an over the phone consultation and they will advice you on what to do (they asked me to go to A&E) xxxx

Happymama24 · 08/05/2020 00:40

Place marking

Tonicandgin · 08/05/2020 03:55

@anon5555 I had bleeding at week 14 for both previous pregnancies. It was spotting and cervix was closed and never happened again.

Spoke to midwife about it this time and she wondered if it were caused by a drop in hormones so may/may well be repeated this time. Anyway, I had 2 healthy babies and the bleeding was never repeated.

Best of luck with it, I remember well how stressful it feels to experience that.

Chuckem15 · 08/05/2020 08:16

So nice to see all the scan pics! Another 8 days for mine, so slowwwwwww. Atm due 17th November so somewhere in the middle perhaps?

wannabebump · 08/05/2020 08:20

@Crispaddict99 congrats on your pregnancy! It's so hard keeping the secret isn't it! My bloods were done Monday but they didn't leave the hospital to go to the screening centre until Tuesday so we're in the same boat! I was told up to 3 weeks...can't remember who but a couple of PP's on thread 5 said they usually contact within 3 days if the risk is higher xx

anon5555 · 08/05/2020 08:44

@Tonicandgin thank you for sharing, that's reassuring to know others have gone through similar and everything has been okay. I'm going to book some extra private scans to try and get some more reassurance hopefully! Xxxx

Amytitch · 08/05/2020 08:46

@anon5555 Congratulations! Super pleased to hear baby is doing well! Grin

SqidgeBum · 08/05/2020 08:58

My blood results from the 12 week scan for Downs, Edward's and Pataus came back in 1 week. Not everywhere is a 3 week wait. I am in Gloucestershire.

HarrietM87 · 08/05/2020 09:09

Yes in my hospital it’s 7 days for low risk results and 3 days for high risk.

@Happythecrocodile how many weeks are you now? I had a big bleed at 10.5/11 weeks and was advised to go to A&E - it was a waste of time as they wouldn’t scan me. So if someone tells you to go in make sure you check beforehand about the scan situation! Your Early Pregnancy Unit is more likely to do a scan but they probably won’t be open over the bank hol weekend (mine happened on Easter Monday).

To reassure you though, if it was a red tinge when you wiped and no pain I wouldn’t be worried about it at all. It sounds like cervix irritation as a pp said. I had full on toilet full of blood and 24hrs of cramps and turned out to be nothing so try not to worry!

wannabebump · 08/05/2020 09:26

@SqidgeBum those timescales are great! Not sure if it's impacted up here by covid, I'm in Scotland. X

Happythecrocodile · 08/05/2020 09:33

Thanks all. I’m 12+3. but I haven’t had any scans yet. There was quite a bit of blood this morning although it has gone down a bit since. I called the community midwife and at first she advised going to a&e but then she said she’d call the epu to check. They called back saying as it’s not heavy bleeding to just keep an eye on it and go to my dating scan on Monday. As it’s reduced a bit and I haven’t had any real pain or cramps I’m trying to stay optimistic but the not knowing is awful.

Pink15 · 08/05/2020 09:48

@Happythecrocodile :( try and stay distracted I know it's so difficult! But there are a lot of positive stories on here of people bleeding and baby being well :)

SqidgeBum · 08/05/2020 10:00

@Happythecrocodile I had bleeding 4 days before my 12 week scan. It looked like small clots. I freaked. I was a mess going into the scan. All was fine! It's so hard waiting, but bleeding is way more common than we realise xx
