We have our gender scan booked for the end of June and I'm honestly counting down the days 🙈

overandoverafail · 24/05/2020 08:26

DC1 was born day after due date, although Labour started naturally the day before due date. Was a long labour but only really painful for the last couple of hours. Water birth was amazing and everything I wanted it to be when the time came. Only regret is I wish I had tried to get more sleep at the early stages rather than staying awake from excitement Grin

SqidgeBum · 24/05/2020 08:33

My DD was born a day before her due date. However my waters broke 2 days beforehand meaning I couldn't be in the pool for a water birth. I ended up with ventouse and episiotomy after 52 hours ..... but I am incredibly unusual. I have never met someone who had as long a labour as me. Sorry, I dont want to scare FTMs here.

Fouryearslater · 24/05/2020 08:47

I went 8 days over but had a 3 day labour so I suppose I started at 5 days over.

SqidgeBum · 24/05/2020 09:16

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I am 17 weeks tomorrow and havent gained any weight at all. I lost 5 pounds in my first trimester with all the puking but I have stayed at that weight now. I know the baby is only 100g, but there is so much fluid and tissue in there too. Should I be gaining weight?

SMcG1 · 24/05/2020 11:08

@SqidgeBum I’m 17+4 today and I haven’t gained any weight and actually lost some in the first trimester. At my 16 week scan the midwife didn’t even weight me so I’m taking that to mean they aren’t that concerned about weight gain at this stage

SMcG1 · 24/05/2020 11:44

Appointment*

wannabebump · 24/05/2020 13:28

I'm 15+3 today, I felt sick lots but not really physically sick, eating and snacking lots and I've only put 4lbs. X

Crispaddict99 · 24/05/2020 13:44

I'm 15+6 today and I've put on 4lbs since I was weighed at my booking appointment 7 weeks ago. I'm a size 6-8 but won't be for much longer! I'm eating quite a bit more than I normally would especially carbs (which I normally hardly touch!). My favourite food right now is toast 🍞🍞 I've stopped doing hiit and kettlebell workouts and walk on the treadmill for 30 mins most days. Lockdown is definitely not helping either! 🤦‍♀️

LozEliza · 24/05/2020 14:17

@CoBell I went to a centre locally called Meet Your Miracle - they operate in a few cities. They did email to say that they weren't offering gender reveal packages until the 1 June only reassurance but as a gesture of good will they would honour my original booking so I was quite luckily I guess. It was busy though and she said they've been rushed off their feet. So like another poster said I think they're technically not suppose to scan for anything other than 'reassurance/medical' until 1 June but it's not exactly the case.

They were careful made us follow social distancing, sanitised etc but still gave us the full package we'd booked which was lovely. We got so many pictures and videos I was over the moon.

CoBell · 24/05/2020 14:51

@LozEliza, thank you for your reply! Aww that’s good that they still gave you the full package! I had just booked a private scan with Window to the Womb for a couple of weeks as it says the gender scans are going to be available again from 1st June. Very excitedSmile thank you for your reply!

LozEliza · 24/05/2020 18:14

@CoBell how exciting for you! Keep us updated!

TeddyTMP · 24/05/2020 21:18

Just wondering how people are finding morning sickness or when they found it went? I’m 14 + 5 and still struggling to keep food down and just don’t fancy much to eat at all :-( x

SqidgeBum · 24/05/2020 21:21

I am 16+6 and mine calmed down about a week ago. I suddenly went a day without feeling sick. I have been fine this whole week. There is light at the end of the tunnel @TeddyTMP! Hopefully you dont have far to go.

TeddyTMP · 24/05/2020 21:52

Thank you so much for reply @SquidgeBum !
You have given me hope!!

Hancock2020 · 25/05/2020 13:30

I've not been feeling great the past couple of days, feeling sick, but not like morning sickness not sure if maybe I've eaten something that's not agreeing with me. But I've been feeling quite light headed as well. I'm just getting a bit fed up now really, and we've decided to make things even more stressful by going ahead and trying to buy a house.

wannabebump · 25/05/2020 13:58

@Hancock2020 take care with the lightheaded-ness and don't do what I did!x

Tiniestsky · 25/05/2020 14:23

Hey ladies, anyone at around week 15 still feeling crappy? Tired with a real lack of motivation?

Also, anyone had a random bout of the runs?

SqidgeBum · 25/05/2020 14:27

@Tiniestsky I started to feel a bit better during the 15th week. But my digestive system is generally a mess.

NS34 · 25/05/2020 14:40

@Tiniestsky I am 16 weeks tomorrow and still feeling the same, I think a lot of it may be down to lockdown for me.

Tiniestsky · 25/05/2020 14:43

@NS34 yeah I was wondering if some of it was cos I've been off work for 3 months nearly, I'm not generally one of them get up and go people anyway so work always forced me to be productive, being at home I just sit on my arse all day which isn't good

Hancock2020 · 25/05/2020 14:56

@Tiniestsky yes re:runs the past 2 days wasnt sure if it was pregnancy though!

Tiniestsky · 25/05/2020 15:00

@Hancock2020 yeah same, it came on so quickly, was feeling fine and then I had to leg it, had a grumbly all day today. Wondering if it's a bug more than pregnancy related

Hancock2020 · 25/05/2020 15:06

Had it first thing when I got up yesterday, then I ate quite alot yesterday, had breakfast, a REALLY big portion of pasta for lunch, pie and mash for tea, and sweets in between then felt sick at bed time so presumed maybe too much food, but then this morning same toilet issue and still feeling quite sick now. So not sure, but hey were pregnant so we just have to get on with everything right lol

Tiniestsky · 25/05/2020 15:21

@Hancock2020 true that lol
Shouldn't complain too much really
