Well my scan wasnt great, she's now transverse footling breech. Her head is under my left ribs, sideways across with her bum slightly lower down and feet dangling apparently 🙄🙄🙄 anyone had any experience of this at nearly 33 weeks? My fluid levels have also increased and are now too high. It looks like my natural birth is slowly vanishing.

A week old already @professorastrocat?! Wowza! Glad all is well.

@talcott2007 good luck for tomorrow!!

calimommy · 20/10/2020 16:23

@Hatepickinganame that's a ball ache. I don't have experience of traverse babies but I did use a particular position for my third to get him to engage and he was born within 10hrs, which could be coincidental but it's apparently an amazing position to try to readjust babies.
You go on all fours (bring pillows if you need) and then lower your chest to the floor with head to the side, so that your bum is straight up in the air with a wide pelvis. This seems like the opposite of what I wanted to do (get baby lower) but apparently it helps them have space to rearrange themselves and settle into a better position. I just put a pillow under my head and knees and watched tv for a while. If nothing else it will make your other half laugh 😂😜

Talcott2007 · 20/10/2020 17:29

I'm feeling pretty calm right now guess. My DM arrived today so my biggest worry about childcare logistics for DD1 is no longer an issue. I've actually been having proper contractions (as opposed to braxton hicks) erratically since the weekend so I don't think it will take much to really get me going!

Hatepickinganame · 20/10/2020 17:55

Well the consultant was a little unexpected, he suggested admitting me to hospital until she is born. Im now high risk for cord prolapse and premature water breaking. I have another apppointment in 2 weeks and a.scan in 4, if she hasnt moved im guessing it will be an early csection for me

calimommy · 20/10/2020 17:58

Yeah definitely don't want to arse around with a possible cord prolapse. I'll be thinking about how you are getting to on, good luck

professorastrocat · 20/10/2020 18:03

Gosh @Hatepickinganame will be thinking of you, really hope she moves. Spinning babies is good I've heard.

@Talcott2007 that sounds positive! Do you think they may just leave you be if you're in beginning stages now? Obviously you want what's best for your daughter, I just thought it's positive that things are happening x

@professorastrocat glad things are going well!

@Hatepickinganame really sorry she hasn’t moved, I have nothing to add I’m afraid but it’s good they’re keeping an eye on you both, and fingers crossed she turns around!

@Talcott2007 huge luck for tomorrow!

36 weeks, very tired and feeling gigantic. Can’t wait to bend at the middle again...

Hatepickinganame · 22/10/2020 14:40

How is everyone? I feel like the next few weeks are going to drag badly... and im gonna put on loads of weight if my current boredom eating carries on! Didnt expect to be off work with 7 weeks left!!

Lola871 · 23/10/2020 08:15

Hi everyone, just checking in. Congrats to all those whose babies have already arrived! 37 weeks here so a week left at work.
Doing lots of walking, hoping to help get things moving as I have induction booked for 40+3 so hoping to go naturally before then!

Needallthesleep · 23/10/2020 10:15

Checking in for a @Talcott2007 update?! And to see how you all are?

@Hatepickinganame sounds like you have a little monkey there. Not sure if you have had an ELCS before? If it comes to that, mine have both been incredible experiences.

We are 11 days in. It’s so so nice to sleep on my stomach again, when I can sleep that is!! Our baby is so lovely, we feel so lucky. Currently on three feeds per night that each last 1.5 hours though so that’s fairly brutal. I at least know this time that it passes relatively quickly. Our toddler is an absolute nightmare at the moment though, she’s much more trouble than the newborn!

Hope you’re all well.

Hatepickinganame · 23/10/2020 17:56

@Needallthesleep no I haven't had a creation before at all. Honestly I'm terrified! Obviously getting her here safely is the main thing but a section is probably the last thing I would want... I have so many appointments now though, one on 30th, one on 2nd and one on 3rd!

Glad you're doing well, the night feeds do sound brutal though!

Hatepickinganame · 23/10/2020 17:57

Also we are going to run out of room on this thread soon, shall I start a new one?

professorastrocat · 23/10/2020 19:11

Good idea @Hatepickinganame we need a better name though! 🤔

Hatepickinganame · 23/10/2020 19:16

@professorastrocat any suggestions?? I'm terrible at choosing names, my username says it all hahaha

professorastrocat · 23/10/2020 21:56

Nice to hear from you @Lola871 glad things are well. Sending positive laboury vibes your way for pre-induction date.
