@Wise0wl unfortunately not for me, work in a supermarket lol not really a work from home kind of job. Im shattered and ready to finish now though.

Talcott2007 · 06/10/2020 11:25

I'm trying to get as much chill out time too @wiseowl! It's definetly the calm before the storm. I have a much needed pedicure and manicure booked in for tomorrow (clear polish only etc as per the hospital rules so they can still see the nail beds to monitor my O2)

Wise0wl · 06/10/2020 19:55

Ahh @Hatepickinganame can’t imagine how you’re doing it, don’t blame you being ready to finish!

@Talcott2007 such a great idea. I’m tempted to treat myself to a pregnancy massage once I finish work!

MummyBearBoo · 07/10/2020 11:16

Congratulations @Piglet11 and @MummyBearBoo 😍

This is it, it's happening, our time has come 😂 I wonder who's next with lovely news.

Won't be me for sure, 36 weeks yesterday hoping for vbac, consultant has signed me off and over to midwives and noted that I'm not having sweeps etc to kick anything off. What will be will be when he's ready.

Someone mentioned a pregnancy massage, I had one the other week, she worked my bum cheek like nobody's business 😂😂 My hips when I stood up felt like jelly. Nothing cracked or popped, I'd dare to say that I barely felt pregnant. I hope you feel amazing after it too x

Needallthesleep · 09/10/2020 09:51

Oh massively wishing I was having a pregnancy massage today. Had planned for some relaxing days before my c section on Monday, but DD has other ideas. She has Covid symptoms so can’t be in nursery, we are all now isolating except to go to a testing centre yesterday. I keep refreshing my emails, desperate for a negative result through!

professorastrocat · 09/10/2020 09:58

Sounds awesome I was going to get a massage and never got round to it! I had one in pregnancy last time though and postnatally.

Got 40w appointment booked in but hoping won't need it so don't have to have all the conversations about sweeps and inductions.

I'm 38w today! I believe @Needallthesleep may be next though.... 😀

My manicure and pedicure was great - the TLC was just what I needed - it kind of turned into a mini baby shower! I've been going to a lovely little local place for couple since DD1 was about a year old so know all the staff quite well now - its very much a family friendly place run by and aimed for 'Mums' which has a fenced off corner with some soft play kit and various toys and a TV to keep the little ones entertained so you can actually relax and not have them strapped in a pushchair or crawling all over you but still actually supervise them while you have your treatments. Anyway I happened to be the only appointment booked in at the time (not sure if it was intentional on their part or just a nice coincidence) anyway they had brought a cake and gifts - a teddy and some muslins for DD2 and a bottle of very pink glittery nail polish for DD1 (they know her so well!)

Hatepickinganame · 09/10/2020 12:25

Ah @talcott2007 thats so lovely! I could use some pampering but were gonna be so busy next week getting the house ready! Ive obviously decided to order new bedroom furniture for my boys and the cot has been delivered so gonna be busy getting all that set up and sorted. Not that my other half will let me do more than supervise 🤣🤣

DPSawMyUsername · 10/10/2020 04:07

It's took till 36 week and me struggling to roll off the couch for him to say "yeah, we'll be doing more jobs from now on!"
I want a supervisor role! 😂
TBF I only do the tea, the kitchen and wash the clothes but still... 🤷🏻‍♀️

4am acid rave here 🤮
Was having the best nights kip I've had in a long time and had to shoot up straight to the bathroom.
Demoted myself to the couch now as he's in work tomorrow.
Feel horrible x

professorastrocat · 10/10/2020 14:55

Oh yeah I have those too, just awful 🤮 hope you got some more sleep @DPSawMyUsername

OP posts:
Needallthesleep · 10/10/2020 15:47

Argh yes that’s the worst @DPSawMyUsername. The only way I can find to avoid it is not eating in the evening, which is pretty depressing!

Hatepickinganame · 10/10/2020 17:20

Im living on gaviscon. Think i drink the stuff , heartburn seemed to arrive overnight about a week ago and is defo here to stay. Are you guys all having Braxtons? Mine are actually painful now and ive had so many today even im starting to wonder if i shpuld be worried 🙄

Needallthesleep · 10/10/2020 20:48

Just a vent, because I’m not sure where else to do it...

I’m really worried about my csection on Monday, and about having a second child. I know it’s a bit late to start worrying about this! When I look back at photos in the first few weeks with our first I look really happy, and I definitely don’t remember crying after the first couple of weeks. So it must have been ok? I love sleep and am so so nervous to go back to the sleepless nights. They don’t last long so they?

Also doesn’t help that the childcare we have in place for our DD on Monday is all based on very precision timings and nothing going wrong. I’m scared that she will be poorly at nursery (she has a cold) and will need to go home. My MIL is due to look after her but will only be around from 4pm. Ahhhhhhhhhhh.

Just tell me it will all be ok?
