@professorastrocat Sorry for confusion. We were looking for help on car seat bases, this I-size and working with his car etc and in the googling it came up with my question about it on here. This is my place to say what I want when I don't want to say it to him 😂😂

Realised that if I post on my iPad it stays the new name but Anon when on my phone. May have to log out and back in 🤷🏻‍♀️

professorastrocat · 03/05/2020 19:19

Don't worry @DPSawMyUsername I was just joking as I'd happily tagged you as Anon forgetting you'd changed it then got confused! 😊

@Piglet11 sounds similar to mine actually. Let's try not to worry as best we can. Is it your dating scan week on tues?

professorastrocat · 03/05/2020 19:22

@Piglet11 actually I don't know, I think yours sounds more like the normal stabbing ligament pains. Hmm our bodies are amazing but worrying! Gonna stop rambling on here now...

Piglet11 · 03/05/2020 19:37

Haha not at all. I guess I will just have to wait and see how the scan goes. No I will be 16 weeks by then, it basically just to go through the blood test results from my dating scan and I will get to hear the heart beats! I’ve actually done something you probably shouldn’t and bought a second hand Doppler.

Needallthesleep · 03/05/2020 20:01

@professorastrocat is that your 16 week appointment tomorrow? Can you let me know if they check for the heartbeat please? I can’t remember from my first baby and I really want to hear that everything is ok!

BooMamaBear · 03/05/2020 20:12

I've got my 16w appt tomorrow too I have to see her in person xx

BooMamaBear · 03/05/2020 20:14

I'm gonna ask if we can listen to heartbeat in any case!!

Hatepickinganame · 03/05/2020 20:27

Ooh lots of people seem to have appointments coming up, good luck for all of them and keep us posted on what happens in them now. Nothing seems to happen the way i remember, whether it's just cause of the corona situation or if some stuff has changed in the last 5 years!

Hatepickinganame · 03/05/2020 20:29

@BooMamaBear thanks for the insight with my dizzy spells, id probably say low blood pressure for me, mine was always low before. Although i did feel loads better after I'd eaten so maybe it was the sugar 😂 I'll mention it to midwife next time i speak to them anyway

professorastrocat · 03/05/2020 20:49

Oh yes of course @Piglet11, will be so lovely to hear the heartbeats.

I don't remember at all actually @Needallthesleep re listening to heartbeats. My appointment is on the phone so maybe @BooMamaBear can tell us if yours is in person! I don't remember hearing heartbeats until near the end of the pregnancy.

BooMamaBear · 03/05/2020 21:32

@professorastrocat -I know I can't remover but my dad brought a doppler home from work so if I wanted to hear the heartbeat I'd nip round to my parents!! Obvs there was no lockdown 4 years ago!!!

I'll let you know what happens xx

professorastrocat · 04/05/2020 09:27

Enjoy your scan today @Bumblebee413 hope all goes well meeting Luke or Leia 😉

Hatepickinganame · 04/05/2020 10:04

Good luck for all the scans and appointments happening today! Im back to work at 12 after 4 weeks off so will catch up with all the news later.

Not looking forward to this though, still feeling absolutely awful and so sure my entire team will guess as soon as they see me 😂 on the bright side, i got my scan date through today. Hurry up june!

BooMamaBear · 04/05/2020 10:55

Good luck for your scan @Bumblebee413 xxx

Bumblebee413 · 04/05/2020 11:46

Oh thank you! It went well! I'm a little further on than I thought- due on the 9th November. I wonder if it might just be a Luke... although it could have been umbilical cord! Grin x

professorastrocat · 04/05/2020 11:55

@Hatepickinganame you can do it! And if you feel awful just tell them, it's not good to struggle on.

@Bumblebee413 good news! Glad all is well 😊 how much further are you than you thought?
I'm convinced I'm having a boy (despite my symptoms being the opposite to last time), particularly as I'm sure the sonographer said 'he's being very wiggly' 🤔 I'm sure when it's obvious they can tell by 13ish weeks. Yours could well be cord though 🤣

BooMamaBear · 04/05/2020 12:41

Glad all went well @Bumblebee413!!

I am so pissed off just got a call from the midwife to say they're only seeing people at 28 weeks now!! I got a text yesterday reminding me of my appt at the GP surgery to see her and had to arrange for DH to be home to look after DD so it would have been helpful if she's told me a bit earlier that I didn't need to see her anymore!!

Im consultant led care anyway and am seeing my. Consultant for my scan on 19th so I'll ask her about my follow up care!

All the midwife said was that my bloods were all fine, need to book my whooping cough jab from 20w and make an appt to see her at 28 weeks and they've sent my referral to the health visitor!

So I guess they are just doing them over the phone!! I only called the Gp last week to ask what's happening about the appts and they said as long as I'm not symptomatic I attend the surgery!!

Anyhow rant over a bit more notice would have been nice tho!!xx

professorastrocat · 04/05/2020 13:10

Ugh that's really annoying! I was surprised it was planned as face to face but I figured all areas are different aren't they. I quite liked my midwife compared to one I had for booking apt. I didn't get the reminder about whooping cough injection which you've just mentioned @BooMamaBear so I may have to follow that up, but yeah otherwise see you (in person) at 28weeks!

She wasn't concerned about my random twinges but was more so about the persistent spotting...must have asked me about 5 times if it was ever red blood. I guess I can rest assured that I'm ok if it's not.

BooMamaBear · 04/05/2020 13:20

@professorastrocat - has your spring stopped now? Xx

BooMamaBear · 04/05/2020 13:22

My consultant does my scans so unless she's ill I should still see her xx

professorastrocat · 04/05/2020 13:45

@BooMamaBear yes, I had it for 2 days after the scan and then a week later for 4 days. If it happens again I will ring MAC and get their advice.

OP posts:
professorastrocat · 04/05/2020 13:49

When are you having your whooping cough injection? @BooMamaBear

OP posts:
BooMamaBear · 04/05/2020 15:51

I'm gonna call the nurse to book an appointment after my scan on 19th xx

Needallthesleep · 04/05/2020 16:16

Ahhh so annoying @BooMamaBear! I guess mine will probably be changed as well. I’m due to go into hospital for my 16 week appt on Saturday
