Congrats on a healthy scan babymama09 GrinI've got my 20 week scan on Friday, seems to have taken forever to get here have been so jealous of people that get them earlier lol.. excited to hopefully find out sex but as always worrying something could Be wrong.

blankiesandunicorns · 12/05/2020 20:04

Had scan today, baby fine and we're having a girl! We have 2 girls already (they're step sisters we both had one each from previous relationships). My placenta is a bit close to my cervix, need another to scan at 32 weeks to check it's moved which apparently it usually does. All measurements and checks fine though and healthy baby 💗

bluemoon2468 · 12/05/2020 20:42

LostinAusten2 · 12/05/2020 22:14

Belated congratulations on the scans too, lovely news ❤️❤️ Still two weeks to wait for my 20wk scan, thank goodness for wine gums in the meantime!

babymama09 · 12/05/2020 23:27

Thank you @LostinAusten2. Is wine gums your craving? Mine is anything sweet at the moment, syrup, lemon, jam, cheesecake and especially chocolate. Anyone else have cravings?

LexiM · 13/05/2020 00:01

Congratulations on your scans and @blankiesandunicorns on your girl to add to the girls! I’ve got just under 3 weeks to wait for my scan now, part of me thinks it feels like forever and part of me thinks the time is going quickly. I really don’t know where the weeks ago. I’m 18 weeks tomorrow, I feel so behind some of you and feel like I will be waiting weeks after for my baby 😂

I’m generally veering towards salty things and meat, but then I regret it come bedtime because I’m so thirsty and then need to pee all night! I’ve not had any major cravings though and I can’t eat much because I just feel uncomfortable, I hope it stays that way.

I’ve tried to stay up later tonight because I’ve been waking up between 4-5am and I wondered if it was because I was going to bed before 10pm. Now I probably won’t get to sleep because I’ve stayed up too late 😂 I got some basics like vests and the odd neutral sleepsuit from Tesco tonight to take advantage of their 50% sale. I’m starting to make a list of what I buy clothes wise to make sure I’m not going crazy!

blankiesandunicorns · 13/05/2020 06:53

Thank you everyone for your comments! I am just so relieved baby is looking healthy! Time really does fly I'm sure it'l come around soon enough @LexiM

Quiffy · 13/05/2020 07:45

@blankiesandunicorns @babymama09 congrats on happy, healthy scans!

@LexiM meat and savoury is definitely my craving. I just cannot get enough meat atm. Hope you got a better sleep last night!

I tried the pillow between my knees last night and slept much better. Not sure if that was because of the pillow or because I was so knakered. I also took the time to read before bed last night rather than looking at social media, which often helps.

I think I was feeling kicks yesterday, I had one of those Starbucks cold caramel machhiatos to help with work and then a can of diet irn bru - all afternoon I can feel these flicks that made me jump. Maybe too much caffiene...

BntTowers · 13/05/2020 08:22

@LexiM I'm 18 weeks tomorrow too. My scan isn't until the 29th. It still feels ages away.

It's so good to see happy scan reports 😊

I'm thinking it's less and less likely I'll be going back to the the office before Mat leave now..we've been told as a company they are extending WFH for as long as possible. Which works out fine for me 👍

I still don't think I've had any movements yet. I've also not been playing any music or reading to baby either. DH likes to work in silence and we are working on the same desk now so I have to have my earphones in as I can't stand the silence.

Indigogirl88 · 13/05/2020 08:37

@LexiM I tried the bed later thing but was still up at 4 haha I've been craving salty things mainly as well

@bnttowers that's good news, I'm hoping my company might do something similar working from home

A few flickers here and there for me, not much to report here apart from my new skincare has come, and I'm going to start trying it out. Hows everyone else skin? I swear the glow is just a myth!?

Indigogirl88 · 13/05/2020 08:37

Ps congrats on all the scans, I'm so nervous for mine next week, I'm not even thinking about the gender!

Treaclepie19 · 13/05/2020 08:58

19 weeks today!
And 19 days until my scan. I just want it to be here now 🙈

@Indigogirl88 my skin was very clear for a bit but its started to look spotty these past few days.
I look absolutely knackered all the time though.

Lucylou37 · 13/05/2020 08:59

@Indigogirl88 My skin seems so much more sensitive! I've got some more expensive La Roche Posay skincare, their sensitive range is really good! But also discovered Superdrug do a cheap Calm Skin range! They have an amazing overnight mask, which I'd really recommend!

@Quiffy sorry for the delay, here is the link to the video for the stretches etc! I find it's lovely and not too long! Let me know what you think!

She also does a really good pelvic floor video, which I find really useful! I've been really bad at doing any exercise for this! I need to set up reminders on my phone!

Hope everyone has a good day xxxx

otterbaby · 13/05/2020 09:36

Same as a few others, I think at this rate I won't be returning to work until the end of next summer Confused I work as a Sales & Events Manager so there's definitely no upcoming weddings or events since my venue is closed! Thank goodness this 80% pay is continuing until October, I'm actually slightly better off every month because I'm saving so much money on petrol.

Felt her kicking this morning so I tried singing to her and she stopped 😂 sassy little thing.

Exciting to hear about all of these scans and upcoming ones!

Zaalfruit · 13/05/2020 09:39

@Lucylou37 I know it was for @quiffy but they stretch’s look good - and easy . I had the worst sleep my bladder felt so full all night and it made me hot and sweaty .

Who has a scan today ?

Mines tomorrow and I’m soo nervous

HerondaleDucks · 13/05/2020 09:48

My scan is a week today. Getting excited.
The last 4 days the baby has moved a lot, like constant poking and moving throughout the day. As soon as DH is around though... quiet as a mouse. It's really weird.

Quiffy · 13/05/2020 09:58

@Indigogirl88 My skin is a little less spotty than it was in first trimester but now more dry. I really need to start a routine!

@Lucylou37 oooh looks good! Will give this a try. Her hair is too thick and shiny though - I'm jealous hehe. I havent even thought about pelvic floor but defo should be!

@otterbaby that's really good on saving petrol money! Love that she stopped at your singing hehe.

My scan is 2 weeks tomorrow (I'll be 21+3!) Been told that they're going to do a new measurement which will decide whether or not I get growth scans from 28 weeks or 30+ so that will be interesting. Are any of you wearing masks to your appointments? I know up here we're advised to wear masks to public places, but I also don't want to be the tit in the mask (which is stupid I know).

Treaclepie19 · 13/05/2020 10:03

I haven't been wearing one to scans @Quiffy but now the guidance is to wear one I guess I'll have to source one.
