Gosh it seems like we all craving steak ! I had steak for dinner tonight dh one was medium rare looked amazing mines was medium - dh made it like that to be on the safe side . I don’t eat red meat at all - so for to crave steak scared my dh 🤪.

4 more sleeps to scan date and I can’t wait any more I need to know there is a baby cooking in me - when is everyone getting there whooping cough injection and those who have had theirs did it hurt . I’m so scared of needles - the fear is so bad that I get to pick up prescriptions of thin needles and present them to my nurse.( they can only be picked up on the same day and the day before I can purchase elma cream which is the numbing cream) I’m such a baby I try not to freak out but the moment I see needle or blood I start feeling faint .

Also is anyone else dtd ? ( Sorry TMI- but I feel so unattractive and I got this weird faint line starting from my belly button upwards, Dh said last time was Jan... LOL )

Quiffy · 09/05/2020 07:48

Morning everyone!

My main craving is meat/fish/flesh so had a good bit of steak. I usually eat mine blue but been eating medium well. I was surprised at how tasty it still was but I suspect that's because I WANT ALL MEAT. Last night, because we'd done so much work, dh wanted Dominoes but I wanted salmon so he had a pizza and I had two bits of salmon like a greedy flesh slug. We were both smug at having the best food 😹 Got steak in the shop so think that will be tomorrow dinner, with a nice blue cheese sauce since we can only have it cooked 😭

@Zaalfruit I plan to get mine on my left arm, I know some people have been getting on right to encourage left side sleeping. I quite like jags - the popping sensation is like spot bursting but I'll likely whinge at pain after. Just try and look away if you can :( not fun at all when you have a phobia

We've not been DTD. I'm still very sick feeling and the idea of been boofed back and forth is 🤮🤮 dh is a bit disappointed but also doesn't want puked on. I fear by the time it's passed I'll have a big bump and he'll be terrified.

Treaclepie19 · 09/05/2020 07:49

@Zaalfruit the actual having the injection didn't hurt. Its been achey and red since then. I had mine Monday at my scan at 17+5.

Morning all,

We have been DTD about twice a week which is reduced from how it normally is because I'm usually asleep by 9!

Had some good baby kicks this morning so I'm feeling better, just shows how you can go days without feeling anything at this stage and not need to worry, another 10 weeks down the line and I'd have been up the hospital though!

Looking like another hot day here, I love the heat but feeling like this summer might be a struggle, we're all going to be big in the hottest part of the year.

BntTowers · 09/05/2020 08:19

We've been dtd, not for the first few weeks, and at the moment I'm having a slight confidence wobble. Feeling really round with a little bump which is putting me off.

I was uncomfortable yesterday when out for a walk, but then we didn't set off until 11.20 so was out over midday which was a kinda stupid. I think I'm going to be so annoying in the middle of summer. Don't cope with the heat well normally...

Zaalfruit · 09/05/2020 09:18

Morning all -

@Quiffy I ate so much food at dinner I think by October I will be a size of a truck at the moment my metabolism is working and the weight gain isn’t showing. About DTD that’s what I said to dh imagine I was sick on you, you will never want to dtd again with me , plus isn’t it unattractive with my belly - his response time to get HOT and Heavy . ( so weird :/ )

I sleep on my back - I can’t sleep on my left - I start the night sleeping on the left and when I wake up I’m usually on my back. I am right handed too - so most likely I will ask for the injection on my left - the flu jab hurt me so much I was in tears - I got a fever because I stressed so much . I am going to ask them if someone can come in with me as I won’t be able to handle the needle in my own. @Treaclepie19 have you spoken to the midwife is that normal- I hope the pain goes away . Just googled it and I attached what NHS said - if it doesn’t go away make sure you contact them .

@blankiesandunicorns I feel that I go to bed earlier as well - but I’m and I’m
Up at multiple times - I do miss Dtd but my confidence is so low.

This heat over the summer we will be hot and sweaty - I have been feeling hot for a few weeks now we have to have the fan turned on the night as I can’t sleep . Feel dh heat annoys me and the room is just a sauna.

@BntTowers - I brought a mini fan off eBay that spritz water that helps cool me down and a spray mist that I constant spray my face and neck . I love the heat - but I don’t handle it well - I get hot and sweaty and then angry 😡

@Zaalfruit yeah its normal. I spoke to the midwife because it went very red and sore and she said it's normal. Its not painful now and the redness has almost gone.

Morning ladies.
Been having a chuckle at all the steak posts! I've been eating a lot of chicken but not had a steak yet. Those posts are making one sound very appealing though!

I am just over 18 weeks and haven't felt any movement yet. At least none I can distinguish as baby movement. Not feeling worried as the midwife said its normal to not feel anything till 21 weeks at least sometimes.

We haven't been DTD and we wont be! DP is very understanding as I'm petrified that anything going 'inside' could potentially cause an infection and as that cant be ruled out as a reason for our previous loss we are just not going to risk it. Not feeling especially sexy anyway to be honest!

My whooping cough vaccine is being done at my 20 week scan. They asked me if I wanted it done then at my 12 week scan. I know it's very common for it to hurt and feel achey due to the tetanus booster it has in there.

LostinAusten2 · 09/05/2020 10:04

And loving the steak chat too - I’m a carnivore these days too... And no way Jose on DTD (v comforting to hear I’m not alone on this though) as I will be sick on my poor chap x

DollyDaph10 · 09/05/2020 10:53

Nope no DTD here 🤣 Poor DH has probably been lucky twice in the past month. I’ve had a tummy flare up from eating hot spicy food and want nobody near me or my poor tender belly at the moment! I also just feel worried the whole time and DH definitely picks up on that and kills the mood.

babymama09 · 09/05/2020 10:58

Morning girls,

Just having a catch up with what everyone has wrote and I am going 5o sound sooo stupid and blond but what is DTD I have been reading your posts and I think I get the jist of it but I am not sure if I am right.

I have a scan in 3 days (on Tuesday) I cannot wait x

babymama09 · 09/05/2020 11:00

I am having my whopping cough but cannot remember when. Don't like sound of it though, I didn't have my tb is school as we immune and the flu jab made me ill last time. Don't think we need it this time

Aquablue1123 · 09/05/2020 11:08

@babymama09 do the deed it stands for.
As for me, we haven't yet, it's my husband I'm trying to convince believe it or not, he is scared apparently or I might just be hideous at the mo 🤣.

So I've woke up with little burst blood vessels around my left eye, like small blood dots on the lid and underneath, I'm trying to google if this is a pregnancy symptom or not.

I think I may have felt something this morning, it was like a snake wavey type feeling at the bottom of my stomach, could this be movement do you think?

X

babymama09 · 09/05/2020 11:18

@aquablue1123 that's what I thought it meant (cannot believe I couldn't work that out properly😅😂)

The snakey feeling could be baby rolling over or changing position it feels really weird and when baby gets bigger and does it you can see the head moving!

Okay on the DTD subject ours hasn't really changed if anything I have been extremely high drived and we always have been hence why we on pregnancy 9 and baby 7. I jdont help matters been watching fifty shades which I did in my daughters pregnancy. Even read the books and I am more of a martina Cole, karin slaughter reader.
But we DTD near enough all week. In first trimester not as much as we mc last year and we're worried that may have been a reason or part of it. But definitely recently.

otterbaby · 09/05/2020 11:32

@Aquablue1123 it sounds like it could be! Mine feels either like little pops or almost like a lava lamp - which I think is probably her rolling around. Can't wait until they're more frequent though.

Aquablue1123 · 09/05/2020 11:39

Yeh @otterbaby I would love an actual kick right now 🥰 xx

BooMamaBear · 09/05/2020 12:07

Mine hasn't kicked since day before yesterday evening (I'm trying not to worry) she moves about but only usually kicks at nigh!! I can feel her movements and her hard kicks from the outside - it's just annoying at this stage, not the moving obvs, just that it's random and sporadic! Xx

BntTowers · 09/05/2020 13:04

I'm on a Facebook group for people expecting in October and it's making me so unorganised! The amount of people who have brought so much already is insane. This morning there was a question on of it's too early to pack a hospital bag...

The only things we've brought so far are a blanket, some bibs and muslins. Mainly because I used them to create an announcement photo. I've done tonnes of research into what we want but we've mainly been waiting until it's a bit closer. Kinda feel a bit bad that I'm not more prepared and that I should be starting to get stuff...

Anyway, this morning I've been reading a pregnancy book out on the lounge chair, the cat thinks he knows better and has cheered me up a bit.

DollyDaph10 · 09/05/2020 13:27

We have only bought a few outfits so far, so definitely don’t feel like you’re behind! I’d find it strange having everything this far ahead of baby being here but that’s just my personal opinion. I think August time I will start getting the main bits, just to make sure I’ve accounted for delayed deliveries x

Spark27 · 09/05/2020 13:37

Hey ladies, hope you're all enjoying the lovely weather. I've had to come in for a bit while DD naps and have a cool down on the sofa. I was thinking the last 24hrs that I hadn't really had any movement, but since I've been lying on the sofa I've had a fair bit. I've seen movement from the outside (baby seems to be really low, maybe they all are or maybe it's my high placenta?!) but haven't felt it at all. If I hadn't have happened to notice it I would have thought there was still no movement. Just wanted to put it out there. Just cos we're not feeling it, it's still happening.

Wrt DTD, nope. Cant be bothered! Poor DH. I felt so sick at the beginning, and now by the time I go to bed I'm just too tired to care. Last time I was pregnant DH was deployed for the first 6 months and then came home to me being huge and not bothered, so I dont think he was expecting too much this time. I'll just have to keep him sweet by cooking nice food Grin

Treaclepie19 · 09/05/2020 13:48

Don't worry about not being prepared. Its only early. Some of the things I want take up to 10 weeks to come so I'll order in the next few weeks as I want to account for delays and our 4yo came almost 3 weeks early.

Expecting this one to be late 😂

Quiffy · 09/05/2020 13:49

@BntTowers I'm on that group too, I saw the post. Definitely too early to be that organised! (says me with my nursery furniture but only got that for the sheer bargain). Your kitty is gorgeous!

Glad I'm not the only one DTD out there.

Hope you're all having a good Saturday!

Zaalfruit · 09/05/2020 13:54

Hey everyone .

Feel like a lot of us on the same wave length in regards to dtd .

@Spark27 I can’t believe some of you are able to feel and see the moves .

@BntTowers I have brought nothing - don’t worry - we don’t need to buy our bags yet - most likely August I will buy the bulky items . Your cat is so cute !!

Has anyone come across this website before - the prams and buggy prices seem alright : www.kiddies-kingdom.com/offers

MrsD1990 · 09/05/2020 14:29

@BntTowers if it makes you feel any better I've bought less than you! Just bought some booties for our pregnancy announcement. I've just been making a list of things to buy and then planned to start shopping after the 20 week scan. Am getting a little impatient though so might buy a few baby grows this weekend...
