Morning girls! Been quiet as work has been hectic! I’m working today but get paid double time which is good. Loving all the baby names so far! Sorry to hear about your father @LexiM sending hugs 🤗 @Treaclepie19 my friend said her shirt for three days so hopefully it’s better today. Tesco have 50% off all clothing, not sure when started or due to finish, just rubbish it’s not online. xx

LostinAusten2 · 08/05/2020 09:02

Hey morning all,

Sending a hug @LexiM - wishing your dad and family the best, and sorry you’re having to put up with so much, you’re a star ⭐️

And sending best wishes @Zaalfruit - not sure it’s any comfort but I’m pretty sure most of my bump is just indigestion, and haven’t felt any movement or kicks.

And we’re doing more painting / decorating as well this weekend, plus lots of Thor movies 😎 x

Aquablue1123 · 08/05/2020 09:06

Morning ladies,

I completed a 9k power walk this morning :-) woke up really early! I enjoyed it but feel shattered now.

We are just sorting out the spare room getting rid of junk and reorganizing today.

For some reason I want to redecorate the whole house entirely and yesterday I was randomly looking at wedding dresses again (I'm already married) my DH caught me and thinks I'm crazy! I think I'm doing everything and anything so I don't have to face baby planning 🤣.

I am 18 weeks now and I have felt twinges but not sure if they are kicks, I'm sure i will know when it happens, I can't wait!

@LexiM thinking of you, and hope everything will be ok. 🙏🏽

Xxxxxx

DollyDaph10 · 08/05/2020 09:14

I still look at wedding dresses and only got married in December 🤣 I justify it as lots of my friends are engaged at the moment, but really I just love looking. There’s a show on Disney+ about Disney weddings and it’s my secret TV I watch when DH does nights.

LexiM · 08/05/2020 09:33

I love looking at wedding dresses and I got married two years ago!

Probably just going to do some bits in the garden, although it’s probably going to be too hot for me to do much because I’m pale and affected by too much heat 😂

My paint for finishing the decorating is coming on Monday, so that will be my job for next weekend.

Aquablue1123 · 08/05/2020 10:00

@DollyDaph10 omg that sounds amazing! I'm obsessed with Disney haha. X

BooMamaBear · 08/05/2020 10:04

Sooty @Zaalfruit - I cant tenner is this your first? If so I only first felt a tiny bit of movement at 20 weeks and I still only had a tiny bump at 20 weeks!!
Don't think my little one is awake yet or she's being really quiet!
My close family and friends know but not announcing on social media until 24 weeks I'm also not buying anything til then we have a lot of essentials from when DD was born!
Although I've had to buy some maternity clothes coz my normal clothes don't fit!!
I wander if whooping cough is just worse second time around coz first time I had CVS it was fine the 3 subsequent times I've been in a lot of pain for longer and felt really sick? Xx

Quiffy · 08/05/2020 10:09

@Treacle81 working sucks, but double pay sounds fantastic!

@LostinAusten2 Ragnarok is just spectacular, I cannot get through without laughing till I cry.

@Aquablue1123 that's one impressive way to to start the day - wtg!

@Aquablue1123 @DollyDaph10 @LexiM I'm not one for wedding dresses but I did start watching Christmas craft shows again this morning. Dh walked in and called me mental. I want to have all the presents sorted before I'm too big 😅 I think looking at wedding dresses or focusing on something like Christmas a good escape from baby worries and the c-word right now.

DollyDaph10 · 08/05/2020 10:37

I’m feeling really down today. My gran is throwing a ‘socially distanced’ garden party that my mum and nieces are going to. DH and I won’t be going as I don’t believe they can truly socially distance in her small garden and we live an hour away, so can’t justify the non essential drive. I don’t know it’s made me feel really upset. I worry about them all getting ill and I’ve only seen DH for almost 2 months now and I think it’s getting to me. Hopefully being out in the sunshine will be a distraction. I hope you all have a lovely bank holiday! Thanks for letting me vent to people I know will understand xx

Zaalfruit · 08/05/2020 10:39

Good morning everyone I trust you are all well .

Hopefully the weather is-great today the plan is to lay on the sun Lounger and sleep and have lots of mocktails made by Dh .

We aren’t doing a baby announcement I think after the lock down will suddenly show everyone here is a baby made by me 😂🤣 (Parents and siblings know)

@quiffy I love crafts shows!! Yes a great distraction .

For the part of our room that will be baby will have cot - I’m thinking of doing decals . I can’t free hand paint to save my life 🤪 saw some cute stuff on Etsy!

Spark27 · 08/05/2020 10:47

Wow, ladies. You've all made me feel energised and like I should get cracking with some stuff (although there is no way I'm going for a walk that long!)
Finally managed to get a good nights sleep after 2 terrible ones, so that's good. DH let me sleep in til 0900, bliss.

I dont have as much to do to prepare as a lot of you as we have everything from DD. This is a good thing (esp from a money side) but bad when I want to do stuff, but dont know what.
So far this morning I've ordered a new moses basket, and I'm going to measure the cotbed so I can order a new mattress for that too. Then I'm going to go through and check the moses basket bedding to see if I need anymore. Trying to get some bits while we have the extra money that we're not spending on petrol/going out.

Spark27 · 08/05/2020 10:50

I'm with you on the party @DollyDaph10. It's a nice idea, but I dont see how you can really socially distance for that long in a garden. And what about when someone needs the loo (inevitable for you) and then you're all touching the same door handles, taps, etc. I think this is why Boris isn't making his announcement til sunday. To try and stop gatherings this weekend when so many people would be together otherwise.

Must be hard for you to make the decision not to go though. Sending lots of love and hugs to you Flowers

Treacle81 · 08/05/2020 11:06

For those of you worrying about not feeling movements, I’ve taken this from my maternity notes 📝 xx

babymama09 · 08/05/2020 11:07

Good morning ladies,

There was a lot to catch up since yesterday. 3 pages!
@LexiM I'm sorry to hear about your dad 🙏🙏🙏🤗🤗🤗To you and your family.

Congrats on baby girl!!!
How is everyone today?

DollyDaph10 · 08/05/2020 11:32

Thank you @Spark27 I’ve just had a good cry. I’m feeling really isolated at the moment and quite down and DH isn’t the best at supporting with emotions so I feel even more alone. I’ve arranged a call with a friend later as that usually cheers me up x

Glitterbug86 · 08/05/2020 11:47

@LexiM so sorry so hear about your dad. You're one strong lady ❤️

@zaalfruit I've seen pics of ladies with massive bumps only a few weeks in, and then others with no discernible bump quite a bit further on than us. It would be lovely to have the extra reassurance of kicks or a bump, but try to remember it's completely normal at this stage to have neither. Glad to your scan is only a few days away now to put your mind at ease.

Has anyone experienced palpitations? I lay propped up against pillows on the bed last night just watching a random YouTube video when all of a sudden I felt like my heart was racing. I felt my pulse and it was super fast. Then a few seconds later it returned to normal as suddenly as it had started. I googled it and apparently it's normal in pregnancy? It was not a nice feeling though!

Zaalfruit · 08/05/2020 12:30

@Glitterbug86 thank you for the reassurance x I don’t feel the palpitations but I feel
More hot , sweaty and bothered - I turn the fan on and off during the night - but I have had this on and off headache for the last week .
@Treacle81 thank you for sharing !! It’s nice to read positive news .

Treaclepie19 · 08/05/2020 12:34

Gosh I just had the best lunch. Sourdough with mozzarella slices, spinach, pesto and tomatoes. It was just amazing.
Even managed to get my 4yo to eat spinach by pretending his brachiasaurus toy was eating it. Win win!

We told him about the baby too and he was happy. He does want it to be a boy though 😂
Only 3 and a half weeks til we find out (assuming baby lets us this time!!)

Quiffy · 08/05/2020 12:46

@Treacle81 that's really useful thanks. I read it as 'snakelike snacks' though 😹😹

@Zaalfruit there's a new craft competition show starting on Ch4 (although I think it's Keith Lemon and I don't really get comedians...). Etst has some gorgeous decals, that's a great idea for where your cot will be.

@DollyDaph10 that's very upsetting on party, it shouldn't be going ahead as you just can't social distance and it's unfair when you know you can't go and will be missing out. Hope you're okay ❤️

@Glitterbug86 that sounds scary! At least it's normal - if alarming

I think dh and I are going to fall out... I've primed my bookcase and having a rest. He's dismantling furniture. He asked my opinion on something and disagreed with it and was being dicky. So I was just ignoring him. He's then went on to tell me about its a good job I've bought some lovely clothes for baby as he's going to take them to a park and tell all the hot milfs how he's a single dad and his wife ran away to Mexico for her terrible crimes. Do you get off murder when pregnant? 🤔

Quiffy · 08/05/2020 12:47

@Treaclepie19 that lunch sounds amazing!!!

DollyDaph10 · 08/05/2020 14:02

@Quiffy I like how he has suggested you go to Mexico, once you’ve killed him 🤣 What a great idea of his!

Quiffy · 08/05/2020 14:29

@DollyDaph10 great point!! I better tell him that. He's been fed now so is in a better mood 😹

MrsD1990 · 08/05/2020 15:19

@Treaclepie19 your lunch sounds amazing! We ordered ours as a bank holiday treat and we've been waiting almost two hours for it to come - I might cry!! 😂😅

Treaclepie19 · 08/05/2020 15:36

Oh it was honestly so tasty 😍 I haven't fancied much for ages but it was really nice.

Hope it arrives soon @MrsD1990!!

Not felt baby today or yesterday, I'm being stupid worrying at 19 weeks aren't I? Iv only ever felt it when laying down not when I'm busy yet so it possible when I'm resting it's sleeping. What's other people's patterns with movement like?
