We have finally finished the nursery for our first baby (minus the wooden letters spelling out his name above the cot!).

I’m 16 weeks now, but have started looking at ideas for nurseries. Reckon I’ll be too knackered to do it once the baby is here!

toastandmoretoast · 15/06/2020 16:06

@peachypetite I know I always wonder how other folk manage to do it after the baby is born- must be stressful lol. How are you feeling at 16 weeks? Hopefully no nausea/sickness anymore 😖

GrumpyHoonMain · 15/06/2020 16:10

I’m going to do something similar to this when we move:

Those nappy caddies are lovely. IME however, unless you’ve had a difficult birth or recovering from a c section you will end up changing them on the floor on a mat and just have piles of nappies and Changing shit in the Corner of every room except the one you are currently in Whilst dealing with a Poonami

GrumpyHoonMain · 15/06/2020 17:15

I actually think the nappy changer is great. It really protects your back. I still use it with my 6 mo and the nappy caddies (we dangle them off the edge of the changer) mean he’s not constantly trying to grab stuff.

Smellbellina · 15/06/2020 17:18

I have been looking at the rabbit or toadstool lamps from here.

Wow they’ve gone up in price! DD1 have the rabbit and DD2 had the toadstool, I’m sure they didn’t cost that much then.

peachypetite · 04/07/2020 08:24

Where are you all getting furniture from? When I google nursery furniture really expensive sets come up and not sure it’s worth it?

didslysquiddlydoo · 04/07/2020 09:50

@peachypetite I didn't get any nursery specific furniture (other than the cot, obviously). We chose a cot we liked and then got normal wardrobe and chest of drawers - figure they're better for storage and will last a lot longer!

Delbelleber · 04/07/2020 18:54

@MrsRose2018 how are you getting on with your pregnancy?

peachypetite · 06/07/2020 07:27

@didslysquiddlydoo yeh that makes sense! I’ll probably end up going for white bedroom furniture and obviously a cot.

Laurend0603 · 06/07/2020 09:05

I have the same nursing chair as you OP! Got it second hand yesterday its in great condition and was a bargain so comfy! I am only 14 weeks but grabbed a few bargains and will store in spare room till we start sorting room out probably after 20 weeks xx

joannew4 · 06/07/2020 09:58

Our little one is going to go into the nursery we did when pregnant with our first (after the first 6 months in our room obviously). I like having the nursery all done and set up from the start because we don't have the room in our bedroom for it all. We've just finished our little boy's "big boy room" and got his stuff all moved across so baby stuff can go into the nursery. He seems to be loving his room and has taken really well to being in the single bed which is great as I never managed to get him to fall asleep on his own in the cot. 38 weeks now and can't wait to meet baby 2!!!

Pink15 · 07/07/2020 17:38

@joannew4 what brand/colour paint is the grey on the wall? It's just what I'm looking for! Thanks x

joannew4 · 07/07/2020 17:44

@Pink15 it's a homebase own brand paint, grey fox was the shade we went for

Mrspopp2017 · 07/07/2020 22:37

I thought i might be a little late to this post but here's a pic of my completed nursery anyway

@Mrspopp2017 that yellow is gorgeous.
Where have you all bought cots from? The baby will obviously be in with us initially in a snuzpod but it makes more financial sense to buy things for the nursery now.

peachypetite · 02/08/2020 19:38

Ordered these beautiful wall decals from Etsy. They have been delivered and the quality is amazing.

How are you all doing? Lots of you must have had your babies now, hope you are enjoying using the nurseries!

I am 37+4 and still nowhere near ready Blush

@Nelbert19 Where did you get your chest of drawers from, please? I'm struggling to find a chest of drawers I like and yours looks lovely.
