We have finally finished the nursery for our first baby (minus the wooden letters spelling out his name above the cot!).

Show me pictures of yours!!

@peachypetite @sophie1326

Yes elephant is from Next! They do have some really cute stuff, not the cheapest but the quality is always excellent!

Muchtoomuchtodo · 24/05/2020 17:03

They’re all so lovely.

Don’t forget the black out blinds!

CNovittBolden · 24/05/2020 17:08

Hi all! I'm due in September and we've finished all the building this weekend! Got some decoration to go but the basics are there Smile

What beautiful nurseries!

@MrsRose2018 - can you tell me what your Wayfair nappy thing is called please? I’m after something similar but I’m not sure what to search for. Thank you Flowers

MrsRose2018 · 24/05/2020 19:11

@WhatWouldPennyDo

This the think: Holdrege Wall Shelf
www.wayfair.co.uk/home-decor/pdp/bay-isle-home-holdrege-wall-shelf-befy7019.html

Just FYI the wood is glossed so we had a bit of a mare painting it but we got there in the end with the white wood paint!

Thanks so much Flowers

Lilice · 24/05/2020 19:39

@CNovittBolden looks amazing, loving the rug

SuziLikeSuziQ · 24/05/2020 19:40

Totally outing but here's ours. Only differences from the photos are a teal carpet not the beige, a changing table and a white upcycled rocking chair with matching Jungle Book cushions. You can't see the characters very well but they're all painted on, not stickers. He has a Baloo, King Louie and Bagheera!

@Lilice thank you!! It's from Wayfair 😊 I'm in such a nesting mood at the moment! How do people stop themselves from going on a crazy spending spree??

peachypetite · 24/05/2020 19:47

Love that cloud rug too.

peachypetite · 27/05/2020 06:33

I’m leaning more towards getting stickers for the white walls so that as the baby gets older the decor can change without too much effort. At the moment it’s like @CNovittBolden - grey floor and white walls, so a blank canvas. Not finding out the sex so looking at neutral. Has anyone used these kind of stickers?

Ours isn’t finished yet - still need Ikea to deliver the furniture.

Ours is nowhere near ready. The dresser/changing table is the only thing (mostly, aside from a broken drawer still being fixed) set up. We're not allowed to paint the walls thanks to landlord which is a little disappointing but not the end of the world. Ultimately it'll have a storybook/fairytale theme in blue, yellow, and pale gray. Everything is either bought or picked out aside from curtains and laundry hamper, it's just a matter of getting it all organized and put together. The room was being used for storage so there are still some miscellaneous things that need to be cleared out and sorted before we move in the rest of the furniture.

It's been a huge project (especially with all the furniture being used and needing refinished) but I'm excited to have it together.

@Camia the yellow is lovely.

Stringervest · 12/06/2020 06:25

This is ours. DS is here now; we did it a few months ago. I'm pleased we did it before he came because I am So. Tired.

I've loved looking at all of the beautiful nurseries on this thread!

Love this thread! Such a nice distraction from everything. Love the jungle book theme @SuziLikeSuziQ but all gorgeous.
I've been really into everything nursery related. Waiting on the cot and drawers to get here, same with the nursing chair. Got a huge picture and cushion with my theme ready to go but that's all that's actually here lol. Main thing now is getting it cleared out in time for big stuff being delivered- can't get an uplift though because of everything going on 😒 Really want to paint it as well since it's just plain cream but can't get a painter either! Don't trust my partner lol 😅

peachypetite · 14/06/2020 06:34

@toastandmoretoast what theme are you going for?

CoalCraft · 14/06/2020 08:24

Another one not doing a nursery but I'm loving looking at these pics 🤗

oliveroses · 14/06/2020 09:00

@GaaaaarlicBread sorry to ask but do you have a link to the woodland stickers? I love them and my searching hasn't turned them up!x

Caspianberg · 14/06/2020 09:51

Lovely nurseries on here.

Ours isn't finished (baby is now 6 weeks old), but just to let you know that we do actually use the room a fair bit even though he doesn't sleep in there yet.

His co-sleeper and cot bed are both set up in our bedroom. The 'nursery' has a large drawer set with all his clothes and nappies etc in, with a changing mat on top. Its an Ensuite, so handy for us to get fresh warm water for each change (we use reusable wipes), and his bath. Have drying rack in nursery for his nappies/wipes/clothes.

Room currently just white. There are new curtains and a mirror above changing table/drawer set. We need to remove spare double bed from there before he uses it, So will finish decorating then. I think we will mainly keep it all white, and add new flooring, rug to play on, and lights etc. I like the nature, wood look.
Oh i did pick up an old plate rack recently I am planing to paint and use as book rack. I guess his room will be mainly done up more as a playroom over time.

I have been looking at the rabbit or toadstool lamps from here.

toastandmoretoast · 14/06/2020 11:31

@peachypetite I'm going for a Finding Nemo theme 🐟 I always had 'under the sea' as my main idea but I'm a big Disney fan (big child 😂) lol so thought this was a good way to get both in there.

peachypetite · 14/06/2020 13:34

@toastandmoretoast omg that sounds amazing! What have you found so far? I’m not finding out the sex of my baby and want something neutral.

toastandmoretoast · 14/06/2020 15:14

@peachypetite thanks ☺ I found a big framed print with dory and nemo on and a nemo shaped cushion. Going to get a plushie or 2 for decoration and still on the lookout for more stuff to add. If I'd been doing this when finding dory came out it would've been so much easier lol. If you're at all into sea creatures/themes then I'd say it's quite a good unisex one. I think I'd have gone for it either way. How far along are you now? x

toastandmoretoast · 14/06/2020 15:15

@peachypetite oh can't forget Mr Ray playmat- he kicked off the whole idea 😂
