Bumping this thread hoping to see more!

Nellie3 · 16/05/2020 09:19

Just catching up with this thread, your nurseries are looking amazing! Ours is currently full of junk and no where near started so this has motivated me!

@iusedtohavechickens your room looks lovely, where did you get your chair? I've been looking to something similar xx

KADAQ1 · 16/05/2020 09:29

Im a first time mum to be and I’m the same as you!

We celebrating hitting a pregnancy milestone by buying her furniture (same as yours but white!) and painting her room. We know she won’t be in It alot in the first six months but we still wanted a space that was hers and decorated ready.

We’re lucky that we have a couple of spare rooms so no space issues in getting it ready

Congratulations OP!

iusedtohavechickens · 16/05/2020 09:55

@Nellie3 it's from ikea and is so comfy. Big enough to curl up with your little one while feeding x

Nellie3 · 16/05/2020 10:16

@iusedtohavechickens thank you so much I will have a look!

Haha it's hard when you can't physically get to a shop and buy paint etc, we will have to improvise and do our best with 'lockdown decor'. This weekend I'm on it!

iusedtohavechickens · 16/05/2020 14:38

@Nellie3 you can do click and collect for paint at wickes and B&Q if you have one near you xx

peachypetite · 17/05/2020 08:12

I’m only 12 weeks but have started looking already just for ideas Smile. I do want to get it ready before the baby, as like others have said, once the baby is here you’ll have your hands full and won’t be able to indulge in instagram and Pinterest boards haha!

MooseBreath · 17/05/2020 09:35

We're in a rental, so can't paint the walls. But I did the artwork and my mom did the cushion for the rocking chair just before the lockdown!

@MooseBreath 😱 that artwork is SO cool!!

That's one thing we are lacking in our nursery! We've got a photo frame collage as pictured but no picture in it yet!

Our plan is to have the small one at the bottom of him the day he is born. And then left and right a photo of me and him and my husband him steerage and then the big one above a photo of us all - including our two original babies - OUR CATS 😂

Finally finished (apart from blinds and waiting on some bit for my shelf). I too jump on the nappy caddie idea - and it's amazing, so thank you for sharing x

@memh love the yellow! That all looks lovely. Where is the elephant bin from?

Abbccc · 24/05/2020 14:02

Lovely rooms., very impressed with the trees! Nursery decor has definitely changed in the last few years, used to be lots of bright colours, Winne the Pooh/Thomas wall paper etc!

Sophie1326 · 24/05/2020 15:47

@peachypetite I was wondering the same about the elephant laundry basket!! Looks so sweet .. I think I've found the same on next! www.next.co.uk/style/st246122/171081

How brill is the nappy caddy! I still have around 3 and a half weeks till due day so yet to be trialled and tested !

If anyone has any other good hacks please upload 😁

Beerincomechampagnetastes · 24/05/2020 15:56

I don’t have a baby or a nursery but I’ve really enjoyed looking at your photos weirdo

My dc didn’t have nurseries like these- you have so many practical ideas and are so well organised!!
Wine congratulations everyone... I’ll drink all the wine on your behalf...Grin

Chanel05 · 24/05/2020 16:06

Love the nappy caddy idea. Where did you get them from?

SunshineCake · 24/05/2020 16:10

Our baby slept in our room for the first five months then we moved house and he was in with us for a few more months. He would nap in his cot in his nursery from at least 12 weeks, I think he may have slept in his pram in our room some times but while I remember the health visit telling us to put him back in our room I can't remember exactly what happened. I just remember dh carrying the pram downstairs every morning as I had an emergency section which makes me think he slept in his pram sometimes. I can't picture his cot in our room at all until we moved house Sad

Re blinds, definitely get one with a pole not cord as children are still dying from strangulation.
