@MrsRose2018 ah thank you , they’re just wall stickers from amazon ! £4 for a huge roll of woodland creatures! I’ll get some more photos when it’s a bit more done in there. The caddy is from Argos, I wanted to paint it grey but my husband says leave it as it is natural wood so I’ve not touched it 🤣

I love the wardrobe, it's older than me and I used to play in it when I was a kid! Some of my earliest memories with that wardrobe 😂 I'm not bothered about that being in the room really but it's the paint and clothes horses. I use the room for drying washing and I like that it's out the way in there. I want to get a tumble dryer for winter but that will probably have to go in my room. I could put the paint outside I suppose but it's heavy and I can't be bothered moving it!! When the baby is here I will get round to painting with the paint and then that corner of the room will be free and I'll have my tumble drier. It will all come together eventually!

NameChange30 · 03/05/2020 15:15

Another option for drying clothes is an airer you can hang up high, we have a pull-out one above the bath and some people have a pulley one above the stairs. You'd need to ensure the space is well ventilated of course.

Hey ladies! After seeing @GaaaaarlicBread caddy for nappies I've been googling because it's exactly what I'm after for my boys room !!

I'm not sure if it's the same but I've just ordered this in white..

@Sophie1326 that’s the one ! 💕

BlueBlazerBlack · 03/05/2020 17:57

This thread has really cheered me up :)

Decorating the nursery is such fun and you've all done a great job.

We had a lovely nursery for DC1 but when DC2 came along he was in with us, then we moved into rented accommodation, so couldn't decorate DC's room at all, and now I am expecting DC3 and we were supposed to buy a house but it's all a bit in the air right now Sad

I am envious of those of you who have been able to decorate and definitely think it's best to do before the baby arrives, even if they don't sleep in there for a while

Sophie1326 · 03/05/2020 17:58

Yay!!! Thank you @GaaaaarlicBread
Delivery with Argos is so quick it says it's coming tomorrow 😱 so excited over a caddy haha!

P.s so lovely to see all your beautiful nurseries .. our baby boy is due in June.. we've got the main things sorted for his room just ordered some Peter rabbit prints from Etsy x

roarfeckingroar · 03/05/2020 18:46

Looks lovely OP, love the colours and the tree.

Like others we aren't decorating because the baby will be in with us and we might rent this place out for next summer and get somewhere slightly less central London with a garden, so best to keep it fairly neutral.

Margo34 · 03/05/2020 18:55

Our spare room currently needs contractors in to fix damp so no point decorating it atm! We had quotes but then....lockdown happened before we could get started 😭

Cherryrainbow · 03/05/2020 19:12

All the nurseries are gorgeous! Such lovely colours and themes. We are waiting for the 20 week scan before we decorate. I have lots of ideas saved on Amazon to get cracking as soon as we know as I have different ideas for boys and girls x

MrsRose2018 · 03/05/2020 19:52

Thank you so much @Gaaaaaaarlicbread!

Sadly it his doesn't look like it can be wall mounted! We wanted it to go on the alcove where the changing table is as I have pretty much used up all available floor space!

Hmmm off to the nursery for a ponder I think 🤔

@NameChange30 we have an overstairs airer from a website called Cast In Style, it's genuinely one of the best things I've ever bought. I'm never moving to a house that doesn't have a convenient place for it!

NameChange30 · 03/05/2020 21:38

Lol, priorities! Grin

We had plans for an extension that have obviously been delayed 😭 My utility room 😭😭😭

EnglishRain · 03/05/2020 21:57

This is our nursery Shock

I'm 29 weeks but lockdown meant the electrician, plasterer and floor guy all had to be postponed. I've got lots of furniture and things for it, just nowhere to put them Grin

Eek! Here's hoping that lockdown restrictions will be relaxed at some point in the next 11 weeks - I'm optimistic 🤞

GaaaaarlicBread · 03/05/2020 22:46

@MrsRose2018 you could get some baskets and mount them to the wall ? Let me see if I can find a photo to show you what I mean xx

GaaaaarlicBread · 03/05/2020 22:47

Ooh that's genius!

The third photo is so Instagram Grin No one has a globe next to their changing mat... two words: projectile poo!! (And if would just get knocked off by wriggly baby anyway!)

Sb131216 · 03/05/2020 23:56

Gosh so many beautiful nurseries!!

We were due to make a big move before the end of the year but I highly doubt we will now so baby will be in with us as the office which would have been the nursery will need to be the office still if dh work decides he can work from home more often after all this.

I have decided the themes for boy or girl ready for the next house or to turf dh out of his office if we end up staying much longer than 6-12 months after baby arrives.

Feel so sad I can't nest properly again as we moved 1 week before dd was born and it really upset me, plus we were renting so couldn't do much.

We have a lovely oak cot bed from mamas and papas under the bed and will get a matching wood colour chest of drawers to go with it. I used white furniture with dd and it got so dirty and worn more quickly than anticipated but it did look pretty and clean.

I'm hoping the oak will look warm and cosy this time :)

peachypetite · 04/05/2020 06:27

OP it looks cosy and is very well put together. I am pretty sure we aren’t going to find out the sex so have been googling neutral nurseries, to be honest I’m not a fan of the whole pink for a girl blue for a boy anyway! This is a great thread it’s given me some ideas. Could you link to the chair and the furniture?

Zaalfruit · 04/05/2020 07:34

The nursery looks amazing @MrsRose2018 !!!! I can’t wait to start ours. Love the colour of the furniture where did you get it from . Looks really good you should be proud.

@Nelbert19 loving the trees - omg you did them free hand , I can’t paint to save mylife - decals all the way . Your colour palette is very pretty greens are favourite colour. But my dh dislikes it he wants a warm yellow themed room
