@MrsRose2018 what a lovely nursery !! I remember your previous posts , Hope baby keeps cooking for a little while longer. I'm 23 weeks on Wednesday , haven't decorated yet as still trying to tidy the room (it's a handbag room at the moment 😂) but will be going for grey and I'd like to do some panelling , but that depends on covid 😒 if baby had been a girl I wouldn't have needed to decorate as the room is already pink and sparkly lol

NameChange30 · 02/05/2020 20:09

@bluehague
Amazing! That's absolutely gorgeous.

riotlady · 02/05/2020 20:09

Awww how beautiful! I remember when we were building the furniture for DDs nursery when I was pregnant, and crying over the shoe rack in her wardrobe imagining her tiny shoes in there! XD

Delbelleber · 02/05/2020 20:21

@MrsRose2018 lol those cats are cute. Mine go in the buggy basket which is all they can access atm.

Loving all the baby room pics!

mollibu · 02/05/2020 20:23

I love it, OP! Where are the book shelves from?

GaaaaarlicBread · 02/05/2020 20:29

That’s beautiful ! We’ve not finished ours yet as I’m 23 weeks so still some time but here is a snapshot of a few of the features. We have the main wall grey, and not got bedding etc yet for the cot bed. Nothing compared to yours ! Absolutely stunning , one very lucky baby! But I thought I’d share anyway . It’s a big room but these are the main little features x

Loving the photos.

We’ve started painting ours today. The room desperately needs a new carpet though but may have to make do.
Buying everything online is tricky - so hard to get accurate colours.

Nelbert19 · 02/05/2020 22:12

Lovely animal decals @GaaaaarlicBread, looking gorgeous already

Nelbert19 · 02/05/2020 22:13

Also @bluehague that’s AMAZING, really pretty

HSunflower · 02/05/2020 22:35

Your nursery looks Beautiful 🥰
We are expecting our first baby in July (sex unknown), and couldnt resist getting the nursery ready to go!
Baby will sleep in our room for the first 6 months, but hoping to use the room for changing (changing unit not in pictures), daytime naps, and a place to play with baby 💛

Love seeing all of these. We decorated DS nursery ahead of birth even though he slept with us until 7 months.

Once we find out the sex (not for blue/pink reasons) we will decorate the next one's room. I find it is something nice to focus on.

It is currently the play room and DS is very attached to it, not sure how he will react when we tell him he has to give it up for his sibling!

rossKemp · 02/05/2020 22:45

Ah it looks lovely! Can I please ask where you got those white book shelves from? Thanks

ablisha · 02/05/2020 23:35

Love this thread!

I'm really unsure how to decorate mine and what furniture to buy. We moved in in January and there is this fitted wardrobe which seems a waste to remove but I'm conscious a lot of baby furniture is white.

Any thoughts?

NameChange30 · 02/05/2020 23:39

I'd keep it, it looks quite nice and will be handy.
Personally I'd look for furniture in a natural wood to match the wardrobe. But if you can't find anything you like that goes with the wardrobe it wouldn't be the end of the world for it not to match.

We have white furniture in DS's room but only because it goes nicely with the yellow and grey, not because baby's room must have white furniture.

Pineapplebaby · 03/05/2020 00:18

Loving seeing everyone’s nurseries 😍
This is ours. Baby will be in with us for at least 6 months but still had to have this finished by about 28 weeks as we were just too excited not to!

It’s hard to see in these pics but there are a lot of duck egg accents; the blind, cushions, butterflies on the wall... all the furniture we already had as well (except the cot) and painted it ourselves.

lollipoplola · 03/05/2020 00:23

@ablisha our nursery furniture is oak, from John Lewis. I'd definitely keep the fitted wardrobe, you could always paint it though if you aren't happy with the colour.

LTofBR3 · 03/05/2020 07:35

Lovely thread! This is giving me lots of inspiration as we're about to tackle the nursery (due August) - it's been the laundry/suitcase/random junk room since we moved in just before Christmas!
Would love to free paint a design but think will play it safe and go for decals - keep seeing lovely ones advertised on enchanted interiors

Babyshine2020 · 03/05/2020 08:13

Still got a few prints to put on the wall but waiting until baby arrives and we know the gender to add some colour!

Where are your bookcases from op?

Ours not done yet either!

Lazydaisydaydream · 03/05/2020 08:44

OP that's absolutely beautiful!! I had so much fun getting our nursery ready when pregnant with our son. He didn't sleep in it until nearly a year, but I would breastfeed him in the chair and use the changing table etc. One of my favourite memories from being pregnant was sitting in his finished nursery rocking in the chair getting excited about meeting my baby.

I'm pregnant now with my second but we don't have space for a nursery this time and I'm feeling quite sad about it! Good luck with everything Flowers

zscaler · 03/05/2020 08:50

@bluehague that is dreamy!!

@Babyshine2020 I love the wallpaper you used!

So many beautiful rooms on this thread, I am bookmarking it for future inspiration

MrsRose2018 · 03/05/2020 09:44

@bluehague that is absolutely stunning!!! You did the tree yourself?? That's not a decal?? That must have taken your hours!!! 😍

MrsRose2018 · 03/05/2020 09:48

@mollibu we got them from Etsy and painted them white because the wood didn't "match" 😂 both me and DH are a bit OCD lol

www.etsy.com/uk/listing/629228473/childrens-book-store-kids-book-storage?ref=yr_purchases

30 quid a shelf which is steep but I looked and looked and looked everywhere and I couldn't find any with decent reviews on quality and what we were after

@Gaaaaaaarlic bread I love it!! You wall paper is perfect!! We nearly went with an animal wall paper theme just like that but I had a last minute change! Literally! We went to buy the wall paper and I saw the faux wood panelling and then my whole concept changed 😂

Where did you get your nursery/nappy caddy from??? I've been looking for one just like it and can't find the right thing anywhere!!
