Went for a nap yesterday at 6.30 and only woke up 30 mins ago. Thoroughly recommend it - I feel brilliant. This growing a human thing is tiring. God help me when we're further along, may need to arrange hibernationGrin

december2020 · 30/04/2020 07:41

Aww thank you @SwedishAnna @Rnic1x @djmbaker 💖 I've got my early scan next week like you do @SwedishAnna so hopefully that will put our minds at ease. This stupid 12 weeks is an anxious time isn't it! Trying to stay away from Dr, Google - knowing Google it would diagnose me with Ebola, TB and foot and mouth! 👻

On the plus side, no pimples yet!

We played some board games last night. Today it's work again but I would much prefer to do some house bits 😂 looking forward to maternity leave already 😂

december2020 · 30/04/2020 07:42

I thought I had tagged you @showmethegin gah! Stupid app!! Oh god! So symptoms may bite back with vengeance in a few days? Aaah!

Katbaby · 30/04/2020 07:55

Morning ladies! Just spent 20 minutes catching up with the thread 😊

Hubby made me a smoothie for breakfast-
Banana, spinach, berries, honey, Greek yoghurt and milk and oh my lord its delish. Trying to get as much fruit and veg in as I can before I potentially start getting food aversions.

Cant remember who said to tag but whoevers gp said bad timing!? Shame on them! That's awful service. Was it the gp or receptionist that said it to you? That's not what an anxious newly pregnant woman needs to hear.

I'm trying to get on my works laptop again today but think I might take the dog on a quick walk first so I don't feel as much cabin fever as I did yesterday I was in the a right grump and fed up of lockdown yesterday!

Katbaby · 30/04/2020 07:58

@cgirl16 found you to tag for above post haha.

Also @Natt99 so happy that your MIL is thrilled for you, what a lovely way to surprise her.

SwedishAnna · 30/04/2020 07:59

@showmethegin & @djmbaker you are right thank you! Its up and down with symptoms I guess!

@notalwaysalondoner I think you are right that you get a bit more stressed at work, maybe its because your brain is a bit all over the place. I certainly find it hard to focus and feel a bit scattergun! So difficult when you can't tell your work colleagues what is really going on in your life!

SwedishAnna · 30/04/2020 08:01

@december2020 I wish I had a scan next week! Think you got me mixed up! I haven't spoken to the midwives yet, just waiting to get my booking appointment scheduled so a bit behind you but then I'm only 6 weeks!

Keepingcomfy · 30/04/2020 08:03

Does anyone else get their morning sickness in the middle of the night? I haven't had to be sick but the nausea was so horrible. Trying the ginger snap biscuit trick this morning before I get out of bed

Snapper81 · 30/04/2020 08:05

Hi ladies,
Glad I found the new thread! Im hoping to get some advice from those of you who have already been to your 12 week scan.
I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant so have a while to go yet but those of you in the UK, are partners still not permitted to attend?
And did your booking in appointment happen face to face or over the phone? How are bloods being taken?
Many thanks in advance.

december2020 · 30/04/2020 08:07

Aaah! @SwedishAnna my apologies! When you said fast forward to the scan, I thought you meant an early scan! So meant like you I've also got an early scan! I hope you get to speak to the midwives soon!! Did you end up giving them a ring?

SwedishAnna · 30/04/2020 08:12

So I just spoke to the midwife unit and they said that it's taking longer now for the self referrals and I should expect to wait another 2-3 weeks to hear back. They also said they are targeting first appointment at 10weeks so I guess I have a whole month to go! I'm not patient at the best of times, maybe a private scan is worth looking into!

Jasminex1 · 30/04/2020 08:14

@SwedishAnna let us know how you get on!

The midwife recommended an app called Mum & Baby to me which has quite a lot of information on it! I've also got pregnancy+

Marshmallow1102 · 30/04/2020 08:41

Morning ladies!
I must sound like a broken record but my nausea is still awful, I might phone the doctors and see if they can give me anything for it!

@cgirl16 I can't believe your doctor would be so rude, it's not like any of us wanted to be pregnant during a time when there are fewer appointments and our husband's can't come along, doesn't exactly make us feel any better!

To everyone discussing spots I'm with you there! I normally only get one or two on my chin when I'm on my period, but I've started getting them on my cheek, jaw, forehead, etc luckily only one or two at a time so far!

ElectricTonight · 30/04/2020 08:58

Hello ladies, Thankyou for the tag, I thought I lost you all!

Feeling nauseous again, just had tea without milk and dry heaving as you do Grinalso pinching nerve feelings in the back of my thighs apart from those feeling ok.

Hope you are all getting on well Daffodil

PocoyoandEllie · 30/04/2020 09:24

I feel so ill, I think my husband might think I am being dramatic but honestly feel so sick Envy only thing I am thanking covid for is that I don’t have to physically be at work. I feel like I might be getting a water infection as my wee was super dark and can feel it coming on if that makes sense 😰 going to try and drink as much water as possible today and see if that helps and then if not think will need to ring the doctor.

Keepingcomfy · 30/04/2020 09:28

@pocoyoandellie I feel the same this morning. I felt so sick during the night and I'm really struggling to eat my breakfast. I am working from home at the moment and thank goodness for small mercies because I cannot imagine being capable of getting up and into the office!

Nic2908 · 30/04/2020 09:33

Good morning ladies. Feeling anxious that you are not pregnant anymore is probably something that will always be with us until our babies are in our arms fx. But I have to say If at any point the worst does happen, I do find it comforting that I know this thread would help us through it.
@Natt99 so lovely about your MIL sounds like it really was a special moment.

Can anybody remember binnsy tag?? Wondering how she is as she was having a call back wasnt she?

Rnic1x · 30/04/2020 09:45

@nic2908 it was @binnsy1985 I think, how did you get on lovely? Xx

ElectricTonight · 30/04/2020 09:49

@december2020 Just for some reassurance my boobs haven't been sore at all, not that I have much boob haha! I can only see a slight difference in size so having no pain isn't bad x

december2020 · 30/04/2020 09:56

@ElectricTonight that's great news 💖 thank you!
Pregnancy symptoms are so vague and broad aren't they!! No wonder people fret! How are you feeling? Hope your nausea is getting better! I found that if I don't eat before 9am then the nausea strikes. It's like a race against the clock! 😂

ElectricTonight · 30/04/2020 09:56

Is anyone good at predicting the day you conceived ? I keep looking at my app and I cannot work it out! We were planning to start trying on my next ovulation day and my period didn't arrive so I'm pretty sure my app has got ovulation predicted wrong. If anyone would like to help me work it out that would be great x

djmbaker · 30/04/2020 09:58

@PocoyoandEllie my partner is the same, he keeps saying "what is wrong with you" 🙈 I feel ill.. that's the best way to describe it. I am SO glad I don't have to go to work, I don't think I could handle clients right now.

I had a water infection, apparently they are really common on pregnancy. Hope your ok xx

Guys I think I spoke too soon.
The nausea hit me strong just now and really feel like I need to be sick. Help! I have a video call in one hour!

@ElectricTonight happy to try help in any way I can with conception dates.

notalwaysalondoner · 30/04/2020 10:11

@ElectricTonight I was using clearblue digital OPKs but unfortunately i ran out this month before I got the peak (solid smiley). But I was having flashing smilies on days 8,9,10 so reckon I ovulated on maybe day 12-13. We DTD on day 11 and twice on day 13. If your app is only going off your cycle dates it almost definitely will be inaccurate - the OPKs showed in the 3 months I used them my ovulation varied from day 10-16 even though I have regular cycles.

ElectricTonight · 30/04/2020 10:16

@december2020 It really is a race against the clock haha! Sorry you've just been hit with a wave of nausea, whatever you do don't brush your teeth 😂just ended up heaving from doing that!

I've attached the chart, weirdly I put a note on CD 10 questioning ovulation but I can't remember why now! Also on CD 27 I had the tiniest amount of spotting, tmi I was checking my cervix Blushand had some blood but that was all nothing else since. The hearts are intercourse. Thankyou!
