@notalwaysalondoner well I'm having a salon built at home, literally 15 steps from my house so our plan (as I won't get anything really for maternity) is a month off for me.. then I gradually start to work and enlist the help of both mums plus my partner. He has said he will finish earlier and take over child duties and maybe that's when I'll have to work.. it's going to be so hard but we are both self employed so there has to be some sort of team work involved for it to work. Blessed to have the salon at my house, plus clients who have known me for 13+ years so they are friends as well
I won't do full days but try and do afternoons or lunch times whichever suits.. it sounds like hell but hopefully it will be okay if we all work together! 🤯

@ElectricTonight don’t worry, bleeding gums is really common during pregnancy due to hormonal changes. Just make sure your brushing is as good as it can be and ideally flossing as often as possible ☺️ Get checked once your able to get to the dentist but don’t stress about it.
@djmbaker not a very nice thing to hear from a client! I think it’s going to be a huge change and so normal to be a bit nervous about it. Me too but I’m so excited to see how my DH is as a dad so I’m focusing on that and I’m sure everything will work out 😃

Back to work on June 1st. Im excited as I've missed it but also a little wary. I have my scan that morning too. Told my boss that i have an appointment but not told her why. We are planning to tell everyone once I've had my scan.

Im going to ring EPU later to ask about an early scan.

Are anybody’s clothes getting a bit tight already? I’m only 7+4 (ftm) but my jeans are already feelin CNN really snug. Strange thing is that I have put on zero pounds 🤷‍♀️

@Bumble84 exactly the same! I think it's the bloat, everything is so uncomfortable 🙁

All done baby measuring exactly as I thought 8weeks 2 days they were so lovely! Now just the anxious wait until hospital scan on 1st June!

had my early scan today due to spotting at 5 weeks, pleased that I am right on 7+2 - saw the flickering heartbeat as well!

Think I will book a private one for 9/10 weeks

Early scan today, slightly less than I thought, I'm measuring at 6+4... EDD now Jan 1st New Year's Day! not Christmas Day!

Very odd experience, not sure how I feel still can't believe it's there! Saw a heartbeat on screen flickering away 🥰

So pleased for the lovely scans 🥰

@Elmlee aww congratulations!! ❤️ it is weird isn't it?? I thought it would calm my anxiety but it didn't really.. just keep thinking, next scan.. did they manage to measure the baby?

I'm the same, it was a very odd experience with the internal scan. She said my cervix angles up slightly. Definitely recommend an early scan.

They offer a 16 week gender scan so may see later if OH wants to book that! Xx

@Elmlee aww lovely. That just adds to my worry then as I do think my measurements were too small..I've got another scan on the 24th so hopefully I'll find more out then 🙏🏻 xx

Mine was external and I had geared myself up for internal so was quite relieved!! I got a £10 off voucher from them so I think I will be doing the same for another scan and hopefully DH can come 🤞🏻

Mine was external too! Which I was surprised about actually but happy with. It's so weird to see if on a screen though isn't it?? Find it very odd that there's something in there

@notalwaysalondoner we're intending on doing the exact same. We also want to avoid the little one doing 5 days in nursery; in the higher earner so DP will be going down to 4 days. Really want to avoid the situation you see on here when the woman can't even go for a drink with a friend as the dad is so hopeless!!

Lovely early scan pics all! Got mine on Friday, should be 8+1. This nausea has really kicked in the last couple of days, I had it a little here and there before but this is much stronger and constant.

Aww all the early scans are so lovely! Its such a shame at the moment that all the scan places within an hour drive of us are closed.

Not had a scan appointment through yet but I’m 9+3 so obviously we’ll get our first scan in a couple of weeks anyway!

I have to admit, it still doesn’t feel real & can’t help but be worried about a MMC.

So physically have puked twice today which seems to be worse than before.. But find myself fancying more foods though? Which is a definite improvement! Managed some really balanced meals today in between sickness
