@snapper81 ohh really they've worked so well but they annoy me being so tight 😂

calipoppy · 09/05/2020 09:15

@rnic1x yes I've had the same with the bands. I got DH to put them on to stretch them which seemed to work a little bit! Also I take them off while I'm eating to give my wrists a break as that's when I don't feel sick normally.

Is anyone else feeling really light headed? When I had my blood pressure measured last week they said it was quite low so I guess that's it but just wondering if anyone has any tips as I'm spending half the day flat on my back!!

Marshmallow1102 · 09/05/2020 09:48

@notalwaysalondoner Love the idea of you all learning to knit and sew together! Very cute! There are already far too many knitters in my family... My mum has been looking at knitting patterns for the past few weeks and is a super fast knitter! MIL, SIL and Dad's GF are all knitters too, so I was quite glad when my sister said that she would not knit anything 😂 Worried that babies entire wardrobe will be made of wool!

ElectricTonight · 09/05/2020 09:56

@Marshmallow1102 Lovely scan congratulations ♥️

@Snapper81 500 years 🤢😂 heaving at the thought of that! I completely get it though damned if you do damned if you don't type thing isn't it. I used disposable with my three and to be honest I only realised they were a thing this year! You can tell I've been living under a rock Haha.

@notalwaysalondoner drive way party sounds lovely, I hope you all enjoyed communicating and the sunshine!
I've only just discovered them and I am leaning that way too, so many to choose from, different types etc.

@december2020 that's true, there does seem to be some faffing around with them, and disposables are much simpler.

Well this morning was lovely the little ones slept in so I enjoyed a peaceful cuppa! I think I'm around or over the six week mark now, desperately waiting for my post to arrive for my appointments! Xx

Snapper81 · 09/05/2020 10:13

@calipoppy I suffer from light headed episodes too and I very low blood pressure. Lowest i ever measured was 44bpm! It does make pregnancy all the more challenging. Doctors always ask if I'm very active as athletes usually have low BP too. I think they know the answer to that one when they look at me Hmm Defo not an athlete!!

I've been on anti sickness meds for 2 days now and they sort of take the edge off but definitely dont rid me of the nausea. The chemist only had two days worth and told DH (who went to pick them up for me) that more will be in today. So unfortunately I'm now trying to survive without any medication again until this afternoon. DH has just been out for a 15K run (he's crazy) so I've had to entertain my 2 year old on my own between heaving, hot flashes and dizziness. Had to lie down on the kitchen floor at one point, which admittedly, she found hilarious...so I obviously succeeded in entertaining her. DH is back now and I'm plopped back on my bed!

ElectricTonight · 09/05/2020 10:30

@calipoppy I do suffer too, especially if I get up too quickly, the room spins, eyes go dark and I get a fuzzy feeling in my hand and leg, it's scary! I tend to sit up slowly and stand up slowly , when I feel like that I lean over holding onto the wall for a few minutes until I feel normal again. Not much else helps apart from being slow and steady!

calipoppy · 09/05/2020 11:04

Thanks @ElectricTonight and @Snapper81 it's reassuring to know I'm not alone!! Haha I like the idea of pretending it's because I'm too athletic too 😂😂

ew1990 · 09/05/2020 11:09

@December2020 in my last pregnancy they started leaking at around 25 weeks. Where id wake up with big patches on my top. But these last couple of days they've leaked a little bit a few times so can happen.

PocoyoandEllie · 09/05/2020 11:10

So glad its not just me who is having to spend most of the time lay down. I must of slept 4 hours yesterday day time 😖

Wearenotyourkind · 09/05/2020 11:25

Any more spotting @PocoyoandEllie ?

dixiedo · 09/05/2020 11:48

Hi guys. I've been lurking. Felt so crappy.
Got sent to out of hours yesterday for my UTI and ridiculous sickness.
I finish round two of antibiotics tomorrow and my symptoms haven't eased at all!! I'm also so constipated and I had a mini panic where I was thinking maybe ectopic as I'm in sooo much pain with it! I was weak and dizzy and faint. Also weird tingling in my legs and arms.
The dr wasn't great. He didn't listen to anything I was saying I felt really fobbed off and let down. I had an anti sickness injection in my bum and prescribed stemitil which I'm reluctant to take so going to order the bands if they're working for others xxx

I do feel brighter today though. Going to try and get out with the kids. Touch wood no sickness today but the UTI is a pain (literally) x

Hope you're all okay xx

ElectricTonight · 09/05/2020 12:20

@dixiedo that all sounds so awful for you Sadglad you feel a little better today. Have you had an early scan yet xx

PocoyoandEllie · 09/05/2020 12:35

Hi @Wearenotyourkind no more spotting but felt crampy yesterday and really paranoid. Can’t do anything until scan on Tuesday so trying not to worry (easier said than done).

Hope you are feeling better @dixiedo ❤️

calipoppy · 09/05/2020 14:06

So sorry to hear @dixiedo that sounds horrendous!! Glad at least your sickness is a little bit better today.

I'm 8+5 today and so far it's the first day all week I haven't felt queasy all day long! Am I being optimistic to think I've seen the last of the nausea!

Elmlee · 09/05/2020 14:36

@PocoyoandEllie I have an early scan on Tuesday too. I'm really anxious. 😔

@dixiedo sorry your feeling really ill, my nausea had reduced, but it makes me worry in some ways. I'm just extremely exhausted 😩 xx

ElectricTonight · 09/05/2020 16:06

Eugh is it bedtime yet? Hopefully perk up after some dinner I feel exhausted 😴 feel rather low and frustrated today because of the pandemic situation hopefully tomorrow's a better day. :(

Rnic1x · 09/05/2020 16:11

@dixiedo aww I'm so sorry your feeling so bad :( request to talk to another doctor if your still worried and feeling bad lovely, take it easy xx

Jasminex1 · 09/05/2020 16:14

@ElectricTonight I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels like this! Is it just me that can't wait to eat all the time because it gives me some relief from nausea?

calipoppy · 09/05/2020 16:29

@Jasminex1 definitely not just you haha I'm constantly eating at the moment! Also feeling a bit fed up today I think it's the nice weather as it's just so frustrating to have no energy to do anything! Feel like I'm just wishing my days away at the moment to get past this trimester!!

Jasminex1 · 09/05/2020 16:34

@calipoppy oh gosh me too, to top it off I've been sat inside both yesterday and today because I overheat after about 5 minutes and feel faint 😭 it's horrible isn't it, I feel like I want to enjoy it all but I must admit that I didn't think it would be this tough!

calipoppy · 09/05/2020 16:38

@jasminex1 haha I know, I have quite a few close friends who've had babies in the last year and not one of them mentioned this! I'm hoping that means that by 12 weeks it'll be a distant memory 😅 how far along are you?

Elmlee · 09/05/2020 16:41

Any of you ladies noticed a change in your hair?
My head hair seems to be getting a lot more knotted.. then my upper lip suddenly seems slightly darker.

I feel like a fat hairy mess 😂🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Jasminex1 · 09/05/2020 16:53

@calipoppy I really hope so!! I'm 7+5, how far are you?

Snapper81 · 09/05/2020 17:40

I'm hating the sunshine. DH us roasting himself and I'm hibernating. Like others, it makes me feel really faint.

notalwaysalondoner · 09/05/2020 17:47

I’ve definitely noticed I feel dizzy more often and also am definitely getting pins and needles more often at night/when I’m lying on my sun lounger! Spent literally all day for about 11am lying in the garden today - amazing! Got the week off work this week so going to learn to knit (my granny is here so can teach us) and fantasise about decorating the nursery... my mum is very superstitious/old school and keeps saying it’s too soon to do all this but I don’t mind!

We’re having a barbecue tonight and my sister and DH just cracked a beer - so I need advice on the best alcohol free beers and wines you ladies have found! I don’t like becks blue but haven’t tried any others. Any recommendations?
