Another new thread! Reckon we can get all the scans into this one?

@seventhrow I think usually about half an hour, bit more for bloods? Is someone likely to call you?

JM0934 · 23/04/2020 15:19

Number 5 already!!

Who else is having their scans next week? I'm absolutely terrified! Confused I just can't stop worrying about it but also wanting to get it done and over with. Time can't go any slower! Sad

Addler · 23/04/2020 15:23

Some of us aren't having our scans for another month so we definitely won't be done on this thread!

Pumpkin108 · 23/04/2020 15:31

Hi everyone, has anyone has any issues from the booking bloods/urine sample? Found out I’m rhesus negative and got a urine infection even though I have no symptoms ...

BuffaloCauliflower · 23/04/2020 15:33

I haven’t got my 12 week scan until the 11th, but I got a private scan as I couldn’t wait and wanted DH to be able to come to one. I feel pretty reassured now but I’m sure I’ll get nervous again before the next one

ParisInTheSpringtime · 23/04/2020 15:34

@Pumpkin108 I’m rhesus negative and they just give you an injection, as far as I’m aware. (not from my bloods, I knew my blood type before)

AnxiousLady1 · 23/04/2020 15:34

@JM0934 My scan is tomorrow and I've felt sick with nerves since I got up this morning. Previous MMC so dreading bad news.

BuffaloCauliflower · 23/04/2020 15:37

I’m also Rhesus Neg - found out when I had bloods during my miscarriage

IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley · 23/04/2020 15:46

Looking for reassurance I think?...
anyone had a dramatic decrease in symptoms and all been ok?
I'm have been VERY sick, taking meds etc and still unwell. But for the last 2 days I have felt fine.... now concerned that's not a good thing? And still a few weeks off my scan (DD 22nd Nov...)

Pink15 · 23/04/2020 15:46

Wow so many messages lol.

Can't remember who asked on the other thread but vitamin A can damage babies eyes I think.

In terms of tongue tie it's not routinely checked because for most babies it doesn't cause a problem and most babies with tongue tie can still breast feed no problem. If anything they think it's over treated.

ACatCalledLola · 23/04/2020 15:49

My scan is next Friday. I’m absolutely terrified and trying to distract myself as much as possible. I hope yours goes well tomorrow @AnxiousLady1

Natopp · 23/04/2020 15:53

My scan is 7th May and I don't know what to do with myself until then 😂

BuffaloCauliflower · 23/04/2020 15:59

@IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley symptoms fluctuate loads! I felt seriously hungover for weeks then it just stopped one day around 7 weeks. Other symptoms have come and gone. You won’t be getting the same amount of hormones every, and symptoms will ease over time. You might also find you’re ok for a couple of days and then it comes back and again. We all worry about symptoms and track them constantly but they’re not the same all the time

seventhrow · 23/04/2020 15:59

@BuffaloCauliflower ooooh thank you!! That's really helpful. Yeah in general I'm expected to be on the other end of my phone at all times, and lockdown has meant I've not got an excuse of being underground anymore either.

Plentyofplants · 23/04/2020 16:11

Hey everyone!!

Sorry I have been following this thread for a couple of days. I have my 12wk scan tomorrow and feeling very nervous as this is my first pregnancy. @pumpkin108 I'm also rehsus negative and so is my mum who's had two healthy babies.

Rolly123 · 23/04/2020 16:12

This is going back to the old thread a bit, but my midwife said to continue taking folic acid all the way through pregnancy? Presumably that's ok since she told me to?

BuffaloCauliflower · 23/04/2020 16:16

@seventhrow could you get some convenient diarrhoea?! Sorry I’m not working this afternoon I’m on the loo

Hi @Plentyofplants Smile good luck for tomorrow, I’m sure it will be fine. The odds are in your favour!

BuffaloCauliflower · 23/04/2020 16:16

@Plentyofplants also if you and your mum are Rh Neg that’s fine! It’s only an issue when mum is Neg but baby is positive

Clove20 · 23/04/2020 16:20

Marking my place

Tonicandgin · 23/04/2020 16:29

@Rolly123

Yes each time I've been told to take all the way through.

ACatCalledLola · 23/04/2020 16:29

@IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley I felt absolutely hideous between weeks 7 and 10. At about 9 weeks things started to get better but I still have days and moments when I feel awful again. Everybody is different and every pregnancy is different so symptoms coming and going isn’t anything to worry about.

burntpinky · 23/04/2020 16:30

Bloody hell I turn my back fir 5 minutes and there’s a new thread with 72 posts to catch up on! 😂

Pink15 · 23/04/2020 16:36

@burntpinky I feel ya 😂😂

Fouryearslater · 23/04/2020 16:54

Trying to drink lots when you don’t feel like it is really hard 🙁 I think I’m getting dehydrated again despite not being sick (pee darker, and I’ve had a headache all day). But I can’t physically drink more. Really don’t want to end up back in hospital 🙁

And just feel rough as. Had a nap earlier and had a really vivid dream - the result of which I feel like I’ve fallen out with my next door neighbour even though he’s done nothing wrong! I don’t know how I’m going to cope back in work next week.

Hancock2020 · 23/04/2020 17:04

It's that time of day again where any remaining symptoms come back to remind me I'm pregnant. Feel drained and a little sick just as I have to cook food and try to eat it. Then end up eating a small kids size portion 🙄 I miss food
