Congratulations @littlegem84 did not see real name, nope!

Tiniestsky · 23/04/2020 22:36

Hello ladies, how are you all doing?
I'm 10+2 and struggling, got another 2 weeks til my scan and I'm terrified of what I'm going to see... or not see. For the last week I've had a real lack of symptoms, so everything combined I'm feeling pretty down right now :(

Addler · 23/04/2020 22:44

@Pizzamyhart I thought I had had a wee in bed last night, checked and had an enormous glob of the stuff Envy

Pizzamyhart · 23/04/2020 22:56

@Addler I'm glad it's not just me. I'm so anxious about everything at the minute. I'll just be glad once I've had that first scan. Hopefully I will relax a bit then.

Cindy974 · 23/04/2020 23:08

Hi ladies,
Had my long awaited 12 week scan today after weeks of worrying, all was normal thank god and Ive measured at 12 weeks and 4 days, with a due date of November 1st.

@littlegem84 and @Cindy974 congratulations! Brilliant news!

BeMorePacific · 24/04/2020 04:51

Lying wide awake for the past hour... my scan is at 13:00 today... didn’t realise I was this nervous Confused x

Avacadoandtoast · 24/04/2020 06:17

Hi everyone, I’m new to this thread - but have my scan on Monday so was hoping to join in!

littlegem84 · 24/04/2020 06:36

@BeMorePacific fingers crossed for you today xx

littlegem84 · 24/04/2020 06:39

@Avacadoandtoast welcome! Smile

anon5555 · 24/04/2020 06:53

@Sakura54 so sorry😔 thinking of you.

Is anyone taking Promethazine and when do you take it? I take it once before bed which gives me a sickness free morning until about 2pm when i start to feel sick and it goes badly down hill from there for the rest of the day.
I've experimented taking another dose (I'm allowed to) mid-afternoon but I just can't get the timing right and strangely this dose doesn't seem to make much difference.
Tips would be greatly appreciated

@Natopp my scan is also on 7th - so excited but also a bit nervous xx

AnxiousLady1 · 24/04/2020 07:00

@BeMorePacific Have mine at 11 and I've been waking all through the night. So nervous 😟

Rainbowafterthestorm · 24/04/2020 07:38

@eleanorsos, mine is the 4th May too....although I think I’ll be 13 weeks exactly.

Rainbowafterthestorm · 24/04/2020 07:57

@Sakura54, I’m so sorry to hear this. :( Apologies I posted my post when I read to the bottom of page 2 of this thread, I didn’t realise we were at page 5 so I didn’t spot your post until afterwards.
@BeMorePacific, I hope everything goes ok today :)

Sakura54 · 24/04/2020 08:18

@Pink15 @seventhrow that's sweet, thank you and to everyone else too.

Despite everything I say, I would have thought getting this far meant things would be ok and that my anxiousness before the scan was silly. All this time I've been chatting to you guys and making these threads, but it stopped growing ages ago. I did wonder why I felt so normal the last couple of weeks, but just thought I was lucky and now this means I've suffered through all those symptoms for nothing and there's going to be a lot of pain to come once this MC happens. I really didn't want a big age gap between my kids and now with CV going on, I don't even know when to try again. The whole thing just takes the piss. This wasn't supposed to happen.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know my thoughts. I'm sad to leave the thread and end our journey together. Take care of yourselves. You will have beautiful babies!

Fredsgirl19 · 24/04/2020 08:25

@anon5555
You are v lucky to get such a long relief with it as it only gave me about three hours. I know with all anti sickness drugs you need to take the stated amount regularly for them to have full effect. I would try taking one at 9am and one at 8pm and that should keep you topped up if they have a long effect on you.
Remember there are other options out there. I had to try lots of different drugs until I found one that worked but I have HG and have been sick 24/7 for weeks now. I wouldn't recommend taking stronger drugs unless really needed x

Natopp · 24/04/2020 08:36

@anon5555 hello scan buddy! How many weeks will you be on the 7th? I'll be 13 according to my calculations. I am anxious but at the same time very realistic and aware anything could happen, and so I'm trying to take the whole "what will be, will be" approach. But then again I'm still bricking it!!

novicettc · 24/04/2020 08:49

Sakura54 I wish you all the best in the coming weeks/months, I'll be thinking of you Flowers

Can I ask if anyone else has a feeling of heaviness in their lower abdomen? I dont have it all the time but sometimes when I'm standing or walking. It's not a sharp pain more like dull/burning if that makes sense. I'm 12 weeks and scan isn't till next Thurs, starting to feel v anxious...

BeMorePacific · 24/04/2020 08:53

@AnxiousLady1 good luck! Hopefully we both have positive scans today.

@novicettc I’m the same. I believe it is just the uterus stretching and starting to move up. Some pains are to be expected. But if the pain increases call your midwife xx

2019Mama · 24/04/2020 09:04

@Sakura54 so sorry to hear that. Look after yourself

eleanorsos · 24/04/2020 09:09

@Rainbowafterthestorm fingers crossed for both of us then! 🤞😬

bluebell94 · 24/04/2020 09:12

@novicettc yeah sometimes I get that when I go to sit or stand up it just feels heavy? Only lasts a couple of seconds. Then last night I had a slight pain (really mild) but like a sort of pulling/stitch type pain maybe right across lower abdomen. I was sat down and it went after about 30 mins when I stood up. I'm pretty sure it's all just stretching and growing in there! I'm 10+2 Smile
