Hey all, just got my bfp which puts me on course for a Christmas baby! According to my calendar it will be around 27th Dec but we'll get a better idea once we get the 12 week scan. I've already got a handsome 2 year old boy. ♥️Anyone else due à Christmas baby or fancy some pregnancy chat?

@Nic2908 I've had cramping since the start too but I've taken that that's just because all of the magic that is happening there! Did a cheeky pregnancy test this morning and the line was darker than any of the 3 I've done before. Have run out now so that's it. I don't have an appointment yet, I'm waiting for the midwife to contact me as had to fill in a referral form. Really annoying actually as I just want to have something booked in! When is yours?

710BH · 28/04/2020 07:33

Thank you! Congratulations to you too!
That’s the thing, when the midwife said to me yesterday, “your uterus is growing quite a lot” I was thinking how!? But you’re totally right, at least we can feel something!
I had all intentions of trying to keep it quiet until my partners birthday (a week on Thursday) and it’s his 30th, but when I came home with the folder and a plaster on my arm from bloods I couldn’t hide it 😂 x

@Rnic1x Thank you! Congratulations to you too! ❤️

@SwedishAnna I've taken 6 all strong but I haven't got anymore now I might buy one but I feel like I know I'm pregnant so I'm only worrying myself now haha. A week today, it should have been today but then I thought I'm only 5+5 so nothing would show on scan anyway so I'm waiting until next week. I did a self referral online it was really quick but I know some places don't do them.

@710BH yeah that's the way to think of it I think. Have you told anybody yet? We are waiting until 12 weeks to tell anybody it's pretty easy to keep it to ourselves in lockdown haha. X

december2020 · 28/04/2020 07:39

@Rnic1x it's so addicting isn't it! But I've told myself I won't buy any more, I can only use whatever is left over in the house (I think like 3 internet cheapies and one clearblue weeks one).

I'm feeling ok, sore boobs and another headache! But the nausea has still been super minimal! 6 weeks today. I feel like as I hit each week it's like I level up 😂. Though it's hard focussing on work, I'd rather be nesting and getting the house ready 🤣 how are you lovely? x

SwedishAnna · 28/04/2020 07:39

@710BH congratulations! How exciting and how lovely to find out on your partner's birthday! I've also had cramps on and off the last 3 weeks! Think very reassuring to read this thread and see how many others have the same thoughts and worries, hard not to go crazy! I've not told anyone else yet so only really talking to DH so this group is a real life saver!

Rnic1x · 28/04/2020 07:45

@december2020 they really are addictive, god before we were even trying when I got my coil out I bought a pack of 50 cheapy ones from Amazon, I was testing like 5 times a day just because 😂

I'm feeling ok ish today, nausea isn't here still but I have just finished by 2 ginger nuts haha, boobs still sore and a bit of backache but I'm not sure if I've slept funny, no cramps yet today. I have a headache but I've put that down to working on computer 10 hours a day and not having a break from my contact lenses... I'm worrying to much which isn't helping. I'll feel so much better when I've been to midwife next week.

God help us all were all worrying (well maybe not all) so much so early we have this worry for the rest of our lives haha x

710BH · 28/04/2020 07:46

@Rnic1x no we haven’t told anyone yet. My partner wanted to after our 8 week but given the current situation, I said we would probably be able to get away with not telling anyone until 12 weeks!

@SwedishAnna thank you! You’re right it is such a comfort! What you might think is a silly thought or a question turns out to be quite normal! 😂

Rnic1x · 28/04/2020 07:46

@SwedishAnna yeah I've only told dp and as much as he's excited I'm sure I'm boring him to death with baby talk... X

Natt99 · 28/04/2020 07:46

Welcome to all the newbies! Thanks for sharing the scan @mrshxoxo glad all was ok! I have a private one booked for Saturday, this week is dragging so much!
I managed to go for a long run yesterday and felt really proud of myself but have woken up today feeling sooo sick 🤢 I'm 6 weeks today so understand this is when it's supposed to start. Thankful I'm wfh so no nosy colleagues about!
Hope you all have a good day! Love this thread 💕

Nic2908 · 28/04/2020 07:55

Good morning lovely ladies. Hope you all slept reasonably well. I have woken up feeling very very nauseous this morning. Isnt it crazy that we are all due similar time but all different stages with the midwifes. That's great

@710BH that you have already had so much done. Our appt is 24th May for 1st appointment it feels it's such a long time away
@Rnic1x defo get a clear blue to see the 3+. Its addictive isnt it. It's amazing how much reassurance those things can give. That baby grow is the cutest!!
@Laidee that's a lovely idea thank you, any advice is greatly appreciated.

SwedishAnna · 28/04/2020 07:58

@Rnic1x & @710BH you are so patient for waiting to 12 weeks! I'm bursting to tell people now! We discussed telling our parents next week on my DH's birthday. Feels very early but we were thinking that if things go wrong we would probably tell our parents anyway.. Probably wait to tell our friends for a few more weeks until we have had the first scan.

710BH · 28/04/2020 08:00

@Nic2908
It really is! I was quite surprised at how quick the appointments were. It was quite scary how she said to me yesterday, you’ll have your 12 week scan and then we’ll see you in July for your 16 week appointment!

710BH · 28/04/2020 08:02

@SwedishAnna I totally know what you mean. My partner said yesterday he just wants to shout it from the rooftops bless him!
It will all come around so quick!

Wearenotyourkind · 28/04/2020 08:03

Congratulations and welcome to all the newbies! This group has got so big, it's lovely to have the support and chat to keep us sane 💗

Laidee · 28/04/2020 08:07

@Nic2908 aww thanks. We managed not to tell anyone until after our 12 week scan and then printed copies of the photo and put them in Christmas cards for all our family 😂 that was one of the best days 😍 I know a lot of mums to be have mentioned cramps. I had horrific cramps from about 6 weeks until about 9 weeks (when morning sickness kicked in!) and I was so worried so I get what you're all going through. Was told by the doctor to rest and my midwife told me it was normal as everything stretches and changes! Was very surprised to hear this as no one had mentioned it before but luckily everything stuck!

ElectricTonight · 28/04/2020 08:12

Good morning and congratulations to you all! I've just come across this thread and found some comfort.

I am a mum of three and I am around 7-10 days late, cycles range from 25/27 days. Feeling crampy and nauseas. I have tests arriving today to confirm, I would be due around the 28/30 December.

Very happy to have found you all!

PocoyoandEllie · 28/04/2020 08:17

Is anyone suffering from constipation yet (sorry if tmi) I think I am due to living off bread 😅

Rnic1x · 28/04/2020 08:20

@laidee that's made me feel better somebody else has cramps and everything is fine x

Katbaby · 28/04/2020 08:23

Morning everyone! Wow lots to catch up with this morning! Welcome to the new additions and congratulations on your Christmas babies.

I took a well needed phone break last night cuddled up with hub and watched a film didn't Google anything about how I was feeling didn't check up on chat just cuddled up with hubby and dog was lovely 😊😊

Hope everyone is feeling good today?

Finally slept 10 hours as well 🤞🤞 was needed.

I was gonna do my clearblue tomorrow but scared I still get 2-3 lol. I know they are a bit of a gimmick and not always accurate in the weeks but would be nice to see. May wait til the weekend.

Nic2908 · 28/04/2020 08:23

@ElectricTonight fingers crossed for you and lots of baby wishes sent your way.

@pocoyoandEllie that was one of my first symptoms constipation. I've gotten a bottle of lactulose under EPU advice and I'm learning to relax on the toilet and not strain as the last time I did that I bled a little.

Nic2908 · 28/04/2020 08:24

@Katbaby good morning lovely.

Rnic1x · 28/04/2020 08:30

@Katbaby morning. Oh I would kill for 10 hour sleep! I don't think I've had that in 26 years 😂
I'm going to do that tonight we have a family quiz at 8:30 so I'm going to watch a film before it and not Google anything 🙌
How you feeling? X

PocoyoandEllie · 28/04/2020 08:33

I also have the cramps, I remember them from being pregnant with DS. Doesn't stop me checking every time I wipe though!

Katbaby · 28/04/2020 08:34

@ElectricTonight let us know how your tests go 🤞🤞
Morning @Nic2908 how are you feeling today lovely?

@PocoyoandEllie this morning is the first morning I am starting to feel it. Normally I'm clockwork every morning (Tmi) but feeling a bit blocked up 🤔

@Rnic1x are you feeling better this morning? I'm certainly less wrecked today, probably something to do with FINALLY a good sleep.

Morning @Nat99 oh please post your scan pic on Saturday so excited to see!!
