Christmas babies

Hey all, just got my bfp which puts me on course for a Christmas baby! According to my calendar it will be around 27th Dec but we'll get a better idea once we get the 12 week scan. I've already got a handsome 2 year old boy. ♥️Anyone else due à Christmas baby or fancy some pregnancy chat?

Hello! I've just found out I'm pregnant (very early, only 3 weeks). My due date is technically 9 / 01 /21, so not a December baby, but I was so delighted to find such a lovely encouraging thread in amongst all the negativity and worry that's on MN just now!

Feeling a bit off, have been sneezing loads (thought it was hay fever) and boobs are a bit tender but all good other than that!

Yes i had to go on my own, and it was only a 5 min scan but just wanted to put my mind at ease xx

Thanks @mrshxoxo I think I will ring tomorrow and book one for 3 weeks time when I will be either 9 or 10 weeks. I think it will do me good to have a date to look forward to x

@MaybeBaby1993 you know what, we are a lovely bunch and your right, it is so helpful having a group especially during pregnancy in these uncertain times where you can turn too with all your worries and joys! There's a mix in here too if first time mums and mums of 2 and 3.

@djmbaker it's my first and I'm really excited! Though I feel guilty for feeling like that with everything that's going on.

A few people have been thinking about getting a private early scan, what's everyone's thoughts? Worth it? I think so but DH is on the fence.

@MaybeBaby1993 I'm having a private scan in three weeks, my main reason is the fact I had a MMC last August which we found out at our 12 week scan so I want to just make sure everything is ok.
I know a lot of women who do and a lot of women who won't it's personal preference. There's a lot of us on here having them.

Just wanted to say congratulations all! We had our first DS last Christmas born on the 18/12 (due the 13/12 so a little late). I found the uncertainty about his arrival quite nerve racking so if I can help with any support / share my story then let me know! Xx

Hi everyone! I’m 5+2 today so due on Boxing Day! Have also had a MMC in the past and so am finding these first weeks very tough - keep convincing myself all my symptoms have gone and it’s gone wrong again. Have an 8 week scan booked but that’s still 3 weeks away! Think I’m going to do a clear blue test this week and see if I can get my 3+ to make me feel better! Sending lots of sticky dust to everyone!

I’m due on Boxing Day too 😁 these early days feel tough don’t they as it’s so hard to not google/ track every little twinge or symptom. I’m just trying to calm myself with the thought that things are more likely to go well then go wrong. Sorry to hear about your MMC.

I also have another CB digital test which I am saving to try and get the 3+ weeks on - got to have something to look forward too as the 12 week scan feels so far away right now! I think I will end up booking a private scan too just to try and stop sending myself insane 😂

Obviously I am supposed to be asleep right now but twitchy legs has hit again and I’ve never felt more awake despite being physically knackered! To make myself feel better I’ve just purchased a pregnancy tracking book off of Etsy .... whoops.

Anyone any tips for staying asleep? I was gutted to find out I couldn’t take a few of my favourite Kalms Tablets anymore 😭

Morning everyone! And thanks for the warm welcome! i've just read that some of you have had scans but partner not been okay to come. Is this just because it's been early scans or is it the same with the standard scans? I really hope I can have my DH with me...!

@mrshxoxo what a lovely scan pic!! I have my private scan next week at 7+2 and absolutely bricking it incase it's bad news.

@MaybeBaby1993 I opted for a private scan too! Mainly as I have PCOS and irregular cycles and was a little anxious it would mean that something could go wrong (my first), so it was to ease the anxiety and if anything was wrong to know early on rather than at the 12 week scan.

I'm 6 weeks today!! Sleeping well, but woke up with another blasted headache! ☹️ enjoying my sacred morning coffee and finally caught up on this thread while the dog and husband snores away next to me 💖

Tempted to do my last clear blue weeks indicator later this week to (hopefully) see the 3+ 🤪

@Rnic1x aww we're exactly the same then! is it your first too? I'm feeling quite normal really, was really sick and dizzy just as I missed my period but that's gone away. Got a bit worried about MMC but I am trying not to panic. I still have weird things like waking up once every night needing to go to toilet and crying to anything when watching Netflix so I guess that's something! How are you feeling?

@SwedishAnna yes this is my first. My boobs are killing still and seemed to have grown again over night. I didn't feel sick yesterday which is good but I had mild cramps which is know it's absolutely normal but I can't help but worry. I think I had them during the night too bit I'm not sure if I was dreaming ha. They seem to be ok this morning though. I'm kind of going off my food, the thought of eating a meal makes me feel sick when's your first midwife appointment? X

@december2020 how you feeling lovely? I'm not sure weather to get another test myself and see the 3+.... I might have to order one haha x

Morning everyone, please can I join?
I’m 6 weeks + 2 days, due around the 20th December. 😊 It’s mine & my partner’s 1st so we are very excited.
I’ve been suffering with cramps (no sleep) which when reading this thread, I know is normal but it’s so hard not to worry.
I had my first part of my 1st midwife appt over the phone last Monday & I went to get bloods taken, give a urine sample and receive my maternity file yesterday. Everything is very real now!
We are booking an early scan for the 10th May (my birthday!) and I’ll be 8 weeks.
Hope everyone is ok! I love reading the chats!

@710BH congratulations on your first ♥️ oh I feel you with the cramps and no sleep, it's hard not to worry isn't it even though we know it's normal like how can our body grow a baby in the small space it has it needs to expand... In one way it's good we have cramps it means something is happening I suppose. Aww what a lovely birthday present, I found out 2 weeks ago today I'm pregnant with my first it was my dp birthday so he got a big present 😂 x
