Christmas babies

Hey all, just got my bfp which puts me on course for a Christmas baby! According to my calendar it will be around 27th Dec but we'll get a better idea once we get the 12 week scan. I've already got a handsome 2 year old boy. ♥️Anyone else due à Christmas baby or fancy some pregnancy chat?

Can somebody help me out who has had a baby before... Do your boobs stop hurting at any point during pregnancy? My boobs actually hurt so much I've just ran up the stairs and there aching like mad now... Should I expect this the whole way through? X

I would like to tentatively join. Got BFP last week due 27th December. I had a MMC last october and 2 chemical pregnancies since...so anxious is not even the word right now!!!

Hello everyone, got my bfp yesterday. Not getting ahead of myself though becuase I had miscarriages in November and January. Am very hopeful this one sticks. Still a bit in shock tbh. Am due 30 December and am not sure they would let me go over becuase I'm nearly 41. I am also up in Durham :)

Hey everyone - got my BFP yesterday!! I tested early so only turn 4w tomorrow.

I'm due 3rd Jan but will be having a CSection which will probably around 28th Dec.

Taking each day as it comes and hope this little one is sticky!!!

Hi All, just got a big shock BFP. I have pcos and irregular periods but took a test today as have felt so sick the last 2 days. My LMP was 05/03 but I know we conceived on 29/03 .

Forgot to add my test, I think from due date calculator I am 6+2. Will ring doctors on Monday to self refer to midwife. Im not letting myself get excited

Hi everybody. So excited to be tentatively joining this thread. Got a surprise positive test on Monday after trying for a long time. We are so excited but I can't shake the nervous feeling, it almost doesn't feel real. Going by last cycle, I think I am 5 weeks today and the due date calculators say around the 28th of Dec. No real symptoms so far except a bit of nausea in the evenings which is when I get tired because I am struggling to sleep well.

We are keeping it to ourselves so it will be great to have people to chat to. Wishing you all the very best. :)

@GeeHO98 I'm undecided on finding out gender but definitely want early viability scan for reassurance.

@notalwaysalondoner not got any recommendations as yet but I've just ordered a book called - pregnancy the naked truth, it's got really good reviews and I want something good to read while I'm in lockdown

@notalwaysalondoner I've got two books about amazon and they are both great pregnancy birth and beyond which is written by a leading midwife and then the day by day pregnancy book which is basically how you baby changes each day and its development which I find fascinating. It's a big book but my husband and I love ready the page each day and learning a bit more.

If you are having an early scan, when are you booking it for? I dunno whether to do 7 or 8 weeks?! Xx

Have barely slept since finding out I am pregnant. I only wish my partner could be happy about it. I want this baby

@ceebee21 mine is booked for 7+4 slap bang in the middle.

@binnsy1985 I am sure that he is a lovely person but it sounds like he needs to man up and be apart of it or not be apart of it. If he is 100% convinced he doesnt want a baby well then he should have worn a condom!!!

@binnsy1985 aww bless you. Personally if somebody I loved put me in that position I could never be with them anyway even if I didn't have the baby. I'm sure you will give you little miracle all the love it will ever need. X

@Katbaby my lazy day definitely continued all Saturday hehe! I just felt so tired! I'm hoping today I'll have a bit more energy! Just had a long walk and sipping on my beloved coffee of of the day. I'm such a coffee addict that switching to one cup a day has been such a shakeup in my routine 😂 I feel you on the hangover without the fun part!!

@djmbaker it definitely sounds like he's being quietly cautious and trying to take any pressure off you. Bless him! My father in law keeps mentioning how he wants us to have kids 😂 it's been hard since I've got irregular cycles and PCOS so once we tell him he'll probably hit the roof in excitement 😂

I had my weird tiny tiny tiny twinge of pink when wiping again last night (only one wipe and no sign of again or this morning). I really hope this is normal 😞
Otherwise feeling fine and the usual sore boobs!

How is everyone doing?

I don't think I will have an early scan. After two miscarriages I know that it won't make any difference to the viability of the pregnancy and we are trying to stay as isolated as we can for as long as possible. I think I'll have a scan and NIPT testing at 10 weeks with a private consultant that I saw for endometriosis surgery who also does early ante natal.

@ceebee21 I'm not 100% sure of dates so gonna book for when I think I could be 8-9 just so I can see more on the scan and more likely to see a clear heartbeat.

@binnsy1985 if you want this baby then that maybe makes the decision for you? I agree with the other girls if he loves you he shouldn't put you in that position you need a long chat with him about how you feel about this baby, you don't want to do something you regret 🤞😢 we are here for you no matter what you decide x

I'm feeling good today but I've only been awake 15 minutes... Haha how is everyone?

Morning, all good here today, boob soreness has definitely calmed down, is it normal for it to come and go?!
@december2020 I feel you on the coffee! I only have 1 a day now and have switched to decaf. My husband made a good point in that some of the symptoms we're feeling - tiredness, nausea might also be related to caffeine withdrawal if you drank a lot before. I think some of my tiredness does stem from this.
Also does anyone miss alcohol? Feel really bad saying it and I'm not going to touch any throughout the pregnancy but yesterday I really fancied a cold beer. A lot of my friends who've been pregnant said once they were pregnant they just didn't fancy alcohol but that's definitely not me so far 🙈

@december2020 and @Natt99 I miss caffeine and alcohol so bad! I think this lovely weather and working from home makes me long for a cold glass of white wine at about 6pm! It’s going to be good self discipline!

We’re staying with my parents for lockdown and my mum already noticed I wasn’t drinking yesterday- I thought I’d been so subtle picking a nice glass and putting cucumber in the fizzy water so it looked like gin... now she’s probably suspicious as why on earth would I do that...?! Think I’m going to have to tell her very soon!

@Nat99 my boobs just feel fuller but but not sore as such! Nipples are starting to get a little more sensitive though.

I know how you feel on the beer front we had a bbq the other night and hubby was drinking pear cider and I drank my sparkling water in a wine glass to join in, but like you say I would never drink just will improvise by putting all my water in wine glasses ahah😂😂

Ohh and if your a prosecco person my pregnant friend highly recommends a drink called 'nosecco' said it tastes just the same haha!

Morning everyone. Another restless night for me.
I'm going to write sleeping off for the next couple of years maybe 😂😂

I had a panic about scans last night too. If all this is still going on ( hopefully not but ... ) then I'll be gutted for my DP if he can't come to the scan.
Suppose will have to book a private one. However we would have to travel an hour maybe to a city for one and with lock down I wouldn't be able to leave my other children. Aww what a rubbish time.

I'm so nauseous all day yesterday. No appetite either.

I have been dieting the last few weeks as I have gained weight beginning of the year and wanted to lose about 2 stone so I haven't really lost any hopefully I'll stick to healthy eating in general and not gain much. Who knows. I'm excited today x
