Hey all, just got my bfp which puts me on course for a Christmas baby! According to my calendar it will be around 27th Dec but we'll get a better idea once we get the 12 week scan. I've already got a handsome 2 year old boy. ♥️Anyone else due à Christmas baby or fancy some pregnancy chat?

@Katbaby you haven't got a water infection have you?? They can give you back ache on the right side that's all.
I'm ok, my nausea gets quite bad at night time .. I have a gap between 1 and 4pm then I feel sick again, I'm never sick though. Just queasy.

I've struggled with the realisation that I am pregnant, it feels so strange. I know I'm early on but I really feel like I am pregnant?? Does that make sense.
My miscarriage last year broke my entire soul so it feels odd that I'm so calm this time.
Can't believe how many new people there are on here today!! Can't wait for scan photos 💕🙏🏻

Bashfulbanana42 · 24/04/2020 21:21

Congratulations.

My son is two. He was due Christmas Eve 2017. He was born on the 28th December. Was a very special Christmas

Katbaby · 24/04/2020 21:35

@dixiedo 🤞🤞 for late December for you then! It's so exciting. I am definitely overthinking everything though.

@Bigcheesey I'm thinking maybe the pilates has exacerbated it to be honest. Ive been sat with a pillow shoved down my back tonight and it's starting to subside. I also think I'm eating too much of a big meal in the evening which is making it worse. We had a bbq tonight and portions are never normal. Hubby was drinking cider and rum so I had fizzy water in a wine glass so I felt like I was joining in 😂😂

@djmbaker I wondered about that but have had no pain peeing or anything. Maybe just general pulling and standard stuff. If it persists or gets worse ill ring epu but it even feels now like it's really eased off which is good. Could put some of it down to stress maybe I've never stopped worrying 😕.

And yes it totally makes sense I think I'm just grasping that I'm pregnant! So excited nervous stressed and elated!!!

7th May for midwife appt feels like such a long wait!!

djmbaker · 24/04/2020 22:12

@Katbaby oh I know, the weeks seem like months don't they??? I'm not having my midwife appointment until after my scan.. so I've got another 3 weeks of this! I'm so glad I've booked it though. Hoping it will ease my mind.

Oh good glad it's getting easier, I've been told by the docs that UTI's are really common and sometimes in pregnancy you have no symptoms that's all.

Plenty of rest and fluids 😍

dixiedo · 24/04/2020 22:31

Thanks everyone for welcoming me.
I never joined a group or anything last time and I think it will make a huge difference having everyone at the same stage to relate laugh and moan with - Ahaha either the pregnancy is making me emotional or lockdown is getting to me and I'm nostalgic for friends x

december2020 · 25/04/2020 06:15

Morning ladies! Happy Saturday! I'm so happy it's the weekend.

My boob tenderness has kicked into overdrive and I woke up with a lovely headache as well. Hopefully it'll subside by the next couple of hours.

And welcome all new BFPs 😊 this thread is lovely! 💖

@Nic2908 😂😂 I know what feeling well! Another pregnancy finest moments, when you're proud of yourself for having a poo! (Or is it just me)?

@Rnic1x Awww wow that is gorgeous! She's so talented! Haha! Amazing she hasn't caught on yet ! It's making me want to spend time on Etsy today to see what I can find 😊

@Tink679 I feel exactly the same! I think once you have the scan (hopefully even in hand) and you tell people who then keep checking in, then it becomes very real. Now it's just like a bean floating around that I'm not allowed to talk about to people. Thank god I have this group.

Rnic1x · 25/04/2020 07:59

Morning guys. How is everyone today? Anybody else finding it so hard to sleep? I'm exhausted most the day fall asleep earlier than normal then wake up for hours during the night Confused it's going to be a long day. x

Keepingcomfy · 25/04/2020 08:07

@Katbaby
My first midwife appointment is 5th May and I'm the same as you ... I feel like that day will never arrive. We decided we'd tell our parents on the 5th so I'm just desperate. I was on zoom and houseparty calls last night and had to put diluting juice in a wine glass!

I've downloaded a pregnancy tracker app, and every day I input any exercise I've done - basically walks, yoga - and the food I've eaten which is good for the baby. That's helping me to focus on getting through each day rather than feeling like I'm just waiting for the days to pass

Mia198 · 25/04/2020 08:22

Hi everyone! I just joined as I literally found out a couple of hours ago that I'm expecting! Going off my last period should be late December due date and it's my first so I'm really excited! I'm also struggling to sleep so it's reassuring to hear I'm not the only one! None of my friends have babies yet so it'll be nice to connect with some other expectant mamas- congrats on the 'Christmas baby' news everyone! x

showmethegin · 25/04/2020 08:23

Can I ask what tracker are you using? Not sure about mine yet.

Rnic1x · 25/04/2020 08:39

@Mia198 congratulations ♥️ this group has been a god send, I'm sure I'd only bore my partner to death talking baby all the time, it's nice to talk to people who are the same as me. X

Katbaby · 25/04/2020 08:40

Morning girls!

I'm feeling a lot better today finally slept past 6am! Stomach is churning a bit but I think it's more to do with all the food last night as apposed to baby related!

@djmbaker yes! Forever! Can't believe it was only last Friday I got the faintest positive that I didn't really believe. Only known for sure since Sunday which isn't even a week hhaa. Back has eased off completely so gonna see how it goes today. Haven't booked a scan yet as I'm hoping midwife will send me for one. But I will be if they don't. Need the reassurance!

@keepingcomfy thank God no one I know has zoom or houseparty so not having to pretend, I couldn't wait to tell my mum I did it as soon as a digi test had confirmed! I think your doing well to make it to the 5th haha! What app are you using?

Welcome and congrats @Mia198! Another December baby that's so lovely! This is a lovely group to be part of.

@Rnic1x morning, I had really bad sleeps all through the week, last night was my first decent one but I'm still waking up 3 and 4 times to pee. Hope you arent too wiped out!

Jessica294 · 25/04/2020 08:44

Good morning everyone!
Hope everyone got half a decent sleep, I’m really going to struggle not sleeping on my front!
Also a really weird thing (maybe hay fever??) but my eyes have been so itchy this week and it was the same the last time i was pregnant 🤯 random side effect?

Rnic1x · 25/04/2020 08:48

@katbaby I'm thinking it's my body's way so letting me know how lack of sleep I'll get when baby comes Grin good job we haven't got much to do in lockdown and I can just rest.

Did everybody have any signs they were pregnant before they knew? We were trying it was only our first month but around 5DPO I had the most awful aches I honestly can only describe them as the day after 100 sits ups, my stomach muscles killed (and I haven't done sit ups in months) I also had a UTI which I've only ever had once before when I was 16, seemed very odd to happen together, when I spoke to midwife she said they are common signs of early pregnancy... It's the only thing that made me test I wasn't expecting it to happen first month. Be interested to hear everybody else's first signs if any x

Tbug · 25/04/2020 08:52

I'm using loads of trackers but pregnancy+ is my fave, very detailed and can see the size in fruit, sweet and animal lol!

Christmas babies
Katbaby · 25/04/2020 08:57

@Rnic1x yes I had the heaviest cramping in my lower abdomen so painful I actually thought it was my period so I had a hot bath to try and soothe it, I had burny nipples which have since subsided. But the main thing that happened that convinced me I was I had 2 days of dark brown spotting and no period along with a headache that sent me to bed. That was a full week before I tested last Friday but I even said to hubby I knew I was pregnant and I would have been very surprised if it was negative. Which is weird since I've never been preg before to compare it to.

Did anyone else know?

Rnic1x · 25/04/2020 09:02

@katbaby I didn't have any spotting so I presumed I was out. It's so mad how everybody's body is different and have different symptoms x

december2020 · 25/04/2020 09:04

@Rnic1x the signs I had before my BFP was nipples so pointy they could cut glass Blush, a giant zit on the side of my nose (a place I never get zits) and waking up around 7DPO with a random sore throat and blocked nose (both gone after a couple of hours and never to be seen again), constantly cold and yawning around 4pm.

I thought I was going loony imaging it all (husband joking I was becoming a hypochondriac), or that it was a bad cold coming but turns out just pregnant.

Rnic1x · 25/04/2020 09:11

@december2020 my partner said that to me aswell he said for god sake there's nothing wrong you must be imagining it you don't get sit up pains from walking (I thought it may have been as we had a really long walk the day before) I knew I wasn't imaging things haha x

dixiedo · 25/04/2020 09:14

Good morning !

Same here.
I've been up wide awake since about 5. Trying to force myself back to sleep. Which is funny as my sleeping pattern for the first few weeks of lockdown was lie ins until at least 9 x

Is anyone having those horrendous pains when move too fast.
I rolled over this morning and it was horrible. !

Dixie x

missoa · 25/04/2020 09:22

Hello! Can I join this group too? I've got my first bfp after trying for a year, am 5 wks today, due Boxing Day. Very excited but nervous it won't stick. I track temperature, resting heart rate and breathing rate on AVA and they are starting to drop, worried that's a bad sign

Rnic1x · 25/04/2020 09:27

@missoa congratulations. I don't track anything, I think I'd be obsessed and worry if I did. Try and give yourself a few days off and see if you feel better. Do you have your midwife appointment? X

Wearenotyourkind · 25/04/2020 09:45

Morning everyone. In the nicest possible way, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one struggling to sleep at the moment! Still no real symptoms here at 4+6. Trying not to overthink everything, which is really hard for me!

Wearenotyourkind · 25/04/2020 09:46

PS: welcome and congratulations to all the new BFPS 🥳💕

missoa · 25/04/2020 09:54

Thank you @Rnic1x ! Yes I think you're right, I should definitely stop doing it! Not booked an appointment yet! I'll call them on Monday - will make it feel more real I think!
