Hey all, just got my bfp which puts me on course for a Christmas baby! According to my calendar it will be around 27th Dec but we'll get a better idea once we get the 12 week scan. I've already got a handsome 2 year old boy. ♥️Anyone else due à Christmas baby or fancy some pregnancy chat?

@Katbaby I've been off my regular exercise since I found out, even though it's silly. I used to do high intensity F45 before lockdown and before BFP lots of running. Since I've found out I've just done body balance & yoga but going to go out for a long run this weekend, probably attempt my normal 10k and see how it goes. Also re pick up body pump. Would really recommend Les mills on demand, 14 days free trial and amazing classes on there.

Are you still doing your normal routine or taking it easier? X

SYVH · 24/04/2020 14:15

@december2020 I found some maternity bras at John Lewis £35 for 2 but they are for breastfeeding too so I figured I'd get loads of use from them! They arrived yesterday and are brilliant! I went up a cup and bra size and it feels great as my chest is so sore- especially first thing in the morning?!

I used to love yoga pre- pregnancy (just using an app at home) but have been too nervous to since I found out I was pregnant. Does anyone have any tips for good pregnancy yoga apps? My midwife said Pilates was good too, and anything you did pre- conception, but I've never really done that and would know where to start?!

Katbaby · 24/04/2020 14:30

@showmethegin thank you I think that will be helpful, I am feeling extra anxious today!

@Rnic1x I'm grazing a lot but helps with the bits of nausea I'm getting, also the boredom as I'm off work while the lockdown is on so I'm getting my walks in and I was doing weights and pilates before finding out, but since I've only done walking and one session of prenatal pilates, planning on doing another later on tonight.

@Natt99 I'm really nervous to do much especially with what I have read about heart rate getting to high or overheating but I'm definitely being over cautious. I have lost a little bit of weight since finding out I'm pregnant as well and I don't really have weight to lose.

@SYVH I've loved doing daily pilates on YouTube since lockdown but like I said above I have only done one session since finding out and it was pregnancy specific

Chutney92 · 24/04/2020 14:31

@showmethegin thanks for the recommendation! I have been looking for meditations I can do during my first trimester and I'll give that a go Grin

Hannah9176 · 24/04/2020 14:37

@Natt99 the birth chart is right for my first! According to this I'm having a boy this time (have a 6 month old little girl now). I'd be over the moon with either but another girl would save us an absolute fortune and we have everything for a girl already. Not sure if I want to find out what we're having this time!

I bought a Victoria's Secret sports bra for my last, it was the minimal support one but I lived in it from about 16 weeks. I never really got sore boobs in pregnancy though I needed it cause I had the most painful rib in the world! Apart from a bit of nausea & tiredness (vomited once) I've not really had that many symptoms. The nausea seems worse this time but I think that's just cause I can't chill with having to keep an eye on DD all the time.

@Bethan91 are you from the north east?

Rnic1x · 24/04/2020 14:42

@Hannah9176 no north west x

djmbaker · 24/04/2020 15:06

@GeeHO98 I've been lightheaded.. if that helps? It comes and goes but I have it today where I feel a bit out of sorts. It's blood pressure apparently?? According to the midwife. 🤷🏻‍♀️

djmbaker · 24/04/2020 15:16

My midwife is my neighbour, I've been put on the .. well I don't know the name but it's a team who are just for expectant mums who have had miscarriages, ectopics etc.. so I have her.. but I'm not seeing her until after my early scan. She said she will book me in once I know everything is ok.
I'm in the north west too and I know in my area specifically the maternity wards are total carnage right now. A lot of my friends have had their booking in appointments over the phone.

Rnic1x · 24/04/2020 15:31

@djmbaker oh hopefully everything is fine throughout for you. God who'd of thought a baby would cause so much worry so little on...
I wouldn't even know what the maternity department in my area is like I've only ever been to visit babies never seen much of it x

djmbaker · 24/04/2020 15:38

@Rnic1x it's mad isn't it how in a matter of moments, once you see that line on the test you can turn from being a reasonably relaxed person with no worries to a wreck haha.
Saying that I am reasonably calm.
How are you? I only know about my local units due to having about 5 friends who are pregnant 🙈 I can't believe how many people I know are having babies this year!! There is a definite baby boom going on.

Ltraynor · 24/04/2020 15:58

@showmethegin I'm glad you're feeling positive, I am too to be honest. I have a really good feeling for you too.I feel like this is a completely different pregnancy, it sounds ridiculous but I feel TERRIBLE which I assume is a positive thing, it means this baby is zapping all my energy whereas last time I just felt normal. I also have an 18 month old ball of energy so that doesn't help!!

GeeHO98 · 24/04/2020 16:25

@djmbaker thank you for replying, yeah I've had that too I've spoke to midwife and I think I'll be having a blood test in the next week or two to test for anaemia x

Nic2908 · 24/04/2020 16:30

@Natt99 I'm overweight and had a pretty crap diet. But since finding out I have over hauled my diet and done antenatal workouts from you tube every day I have had off in a bit to move more.

@Rnic1x I'm north west too!

djmbaker · 24/04/2020 16:35

@GeeHO98 oh great that's good isn't it. At least they are on top of it. To be fair I think once you say your pregnant everything is taken more seriously. I got a water infection last weekend and the doctor immediately gave me anti biotics.. loads of info and said this may mean I get them all the way through the pregnancy 🙈 but the response from them was great. 👌🏽 how far are you?

djmbaker · 24/04/2020 16:36

It's funny how this little group has become a space for us all to chat so openly.. my partner said last night who are these women then.. do you know them .. ermmm.. well no but we are all due at the same time?? Haha he didn't understand! 💕

GeeHO98 · 24/04/2020 16:53

@djmbaker I had a water infection at the beginning of my first pregnancy and never went on to have another but I could tell when I felt one coming on and then drank plenty of water so that helped. I've heard cranberry juice is really good for those & 5+4 till first scan, I think my estimated due date is around 21st - 25th xx

Nic2908 · 24/04/2020 16:54

I cant wait to start seeing some little scan pictures.

djmbaker · 24/04/2020 16:56

@GeeHO98 oh that's a relief to hear Thankyou 🙏🏻. Thing is I do drink about 2 litres of water a day so it's a totally new thing for me 🙈. But I'm feeling a lot better now. Like you say, it's just plenty of fluids isn't it.
It's mad how many Christmas babies there are going to be 😍 Christmas is my favourite time of year, it's mine and my partners birthdays in December and we got engaged in December so I'm hoping all goes to plan and we will have a baby in December too!!

Wearenotyourkind · 24/04/2020 16:57

Have you had any more spotting @Nic2908? 💕

GeeHO98 · 24/04/2020 17:07

@djmbaker definitely be a busy special month for you then!

Rnic1x · 24/04/2020 17:09

@djmbaker I feel fine in myself which is making me worry I don't feel like I expected being pregnant to feel... I just want my appointment on 5th to hurry up then I think I'll enjoy it more. I know so many people are pregnant a few of my friends have announced it recently too... Lockdown baby boom.

@Nic2908 aww really seems a few of us are from north west x

december2020 · 24/04/2020 17:18

Thank you so much for the bra recommendations , I know what I'll be doing this weekend!

I'm finding it a little hard to work form home today as feeling like my mind is elsewhere wanting to focus on house decluttering and dreaming of baby items and nurseries. Thank god it's the weekend so I can get a grip before work starts on Monday again.

What are all you lovely ladies doing for the weekend?

Tink679 · 24/04/2020 17:25

I know this sounds really silly, but does anyone keep forgotten that they are pregnant and then suddenly remember and boom, all the emotions come flooding back!? Maybe it’s just because I’ve been at work and feeling tired and emotional anyway

I have loved reading the comments on here though this afternoon, it’s cheered me up a lot!

I’ve been looking for announcement cards this afternoon too as unsure how to tell family (after first scan), my mum and sister-in-law know but not sure how to tell my sister and other close family, I didn’t want a generic announcement but wanted something a bit more unique and special. Any ideas?

Nic2908 · 24/04/2020 17:37

@Wearenotyourkind thank you for asking. No no more spotting. Got some lactulose so hopefully. Just got aches on my stomach and feel so big and bloated all ready!!

@djmbaker I've been so so thirsty, I've just checked my sugar at work as to me excessive thirst =diabetes. Sugar was perfect though so it must be just a pregnancy thing!!! Glad I'm not alone though.

It really is a lovely group, I've gotten so much comfort from knowing I'm not alone

Rnic1x · 24/04/2020 17:40

@tink679 yes... I forget then glance at the tests on the dressing table and remember.

I've ordered these for my family each personalised, I haven't told anybody apart from partner so it will be a massive surprise for everybody x
