Christmas babies

Hey all, just got my bfp which puts me on course for a Christmas baby! According to my calendar it will be around 27th Dec but we'll get a better idea once we get the 12 week scan. I've already got a handsome 2 year old boy. ♥️Anyone else due à Christmas baby or fancy some pregnancy chat?

My Digi test said 2-3 weeks and I'm 5 weeks today so it was bang on. My last period was only 2 days so I'm having a dating scan. NHS not private. Will this be your first baby?

Hey! I’m due December 6th with my second, 1st baby is 3 also born in December. Took 10 months to conceive this time first time only took 2. Actually got diagnosed with PCOS 3 weeks before finding out I was pregnant! feeling sick which I think I had last time and bit of cramping too x

@Bethan91 sorry if youve said already but have you told any family yet? I've told mum and SIL both were over the moon but sworn them to secrecy obviously haha

@Katbaby no we haven't told anybody, I found out the on 14th I was pregnant which was my boyfriends birthday so I wrote it in his card to surprise him. We're going to get little surprise announcement cards and tell all our family on 12 week scan day with the pictures in. It's pretty easy to keep it a secret in lockdown x

Hi all can I join?
Had my BFP on Monday have done 3 test all are positive. I am very nervous. Due date shows as Christmas Eve but no symptoms so far.

@Bethan91 my mam has been struggling with lockdown and she only lives 10 mins walk from us so we were able to tell her in person it was the news she needed! And she knew we were trying as well so wanted to tell her straight away. Mainly told SIL as we are close and I can also use her expert guidance after having 5 babies haha!!

@showmethegin that's crazy, what are the chances!! I'm feeling a lot more positive now, I was completely shell shocked when I found out & was positive it was gong to end badly but I did 2 frers this week & they're getting so dark, in my last pregnancy they never got that dark, the wee mite never really had a chance.
How are you feeling? Were you as shocked as me when your found out? I did like 4 tests before I believed it!!

@Katbaby aww how lovely. Nobody really knew we were trying, I'm always booking holidays and trips away so I think people presumed a baby was on hold 😂 x

@Bethan91 to be fair didn't stop us booking up either. Supposed to be going to Greece in September, obviously depending on the lockdown etc now. Not sure what will happen. All being well I would still like to go, will only be 6 months.

Oh this backache is no fun tho!

@katbaby we're supposed to be going to Tenerife in June and Budapest in August I don't see either happening now, neither have been cancelled as of yet though. Will just have to book child friendly places and go on extra next year ha x

I didn't intend to buy anything before 12 weeks but I've just seen the cutest little reindeer booties and I couldn't help myself. It will be a Christmas baby after all. I will use them for my announcement picture anybody else buying little bits yet? X

@Bethan91 not for baby but seriously considering getting a pregnancy pillow asap to try and train myself to sleep on my side and help with the back ache, I always sleep on my belly!

@katbaby me too it's driving me mad I can't sleep on my belly because it hurts my boobs too much. I'm waking up every hour or so uncomfy.

I've avoided looking at anything baby until I've had my scan in 3 weeks but it's bloody hard when all the sponsored adds on Instagram and Facebook are now baby related!

Finding it hard to believe today, I've woken up and it doesn't fee real. My symptoms have been relatively easy so far, so I'm just second guessing myself.
It's a weird journey isn't it?? I've done 4 tests for goodness sakes. 🙈 god it's only been a week since I found out.. feels like an eternity!
How is everyone today?

@djmbaker I just couldn't resist my partner will probably moan at me, I'll have to hide them haha. I've done 6 ha, 4 first response (they came in a pack of 4) then a digi and the normal clear blue which came in a pack too. It really is, I'm not feeling bad at all really not compared to how some people are. Maybe that will come in time. I feel like I'm full of a cold today again, either hormones or hayfever not sure which. I keep saving things I like on Facebook, I'm going to end up with a whole folder full.

Found the cutest little romper I'm trying to hold back massively from buying! Don't know when I'll cave! Have my early scan in just under 2 weeks and it feels forever away!

At first I was super impatient to tell people were expecting but I think as they time passes I'm getting more nervous to tell people! Anyone else feeling the same?

Did an IC test yesterday (just to check I was still pregnant 😂😂) and have one more clear blue left from a pack of 2, so thinking of using is when I hit around 6weeks just to (hopefully) see the 3+. I live a riveting life 😂😂

@december2020 it's so hard not to buy isn't it, especially when there's not much else to do with lockdown.
I can't wait to tell my family, it will be my mams first grandchild so shell be over the moon. I'm waiting until 12 weeks to tell anybody though. Have you told anybody yet?
No doubt I'll buy a few more tests just to "make sure" they seem to be slightly addictive.

@Bethan91 so so hard! I've found so many beautiful things and getting itchy fingers to start ordering 😂
It'll be my mom's first grandchild too So I think her dream will come true! I've only told my husband (figured I should let him know 😂) and one friend (who then told me she's waiting for her second child and is one day behind me weeks-wise, which is exciting). I needed her as a support just in case thing went bad (but also someone to chat to during the first trimester). Otherwise I think we may tell both sets of parents around 9-10weeks and then close family and friends at 12weeks maybe.

My partner said last night that he's getting a kick out of nobody knowing 😂 he said it's like our little secret.
He has literally told nobody
I'm desperate to tell my best friend but I want to wait, she's had a recent IVF failure so I don't want to go in too soon. I'll probably tell her after my early scan and tell everyone else after that.

I'm more worried to tell my clients, (I'm a beauty therapist) god knows how they are going to react.. plus how I'm going to be able to manage a baby plus work I don't know!! A lot to think about.

I'm not going to lie.. I have already thought about how I want the nursery to look 🙈
