Christmas babies

Hey all, just got my bfp which puts me on course for a Christmas baby! According to my calendar it will be around 27th Dec but we'll get a better idea once we get the 12 week scan. I've already got a handsome 2 year old boy. ♥️Anyone else due à Christmas baby or fancy some pregnancy chat?

@binnsy1985 I think you need to take your partner out of the equation for a minute. What do you want? Say you terminated this baby, but then you and your partner didnt work out anyway and you met someone new but the could never conceive again? What I am saying is this might be your one chance to be a mummy, it wont be your last chance to find love. Being a single mum can be pretty empowering I think, you get to do things your own way. Whatever your decision there is one thing I am sure of, this group will be with you until the end.

@Keepingcomfy I was the same yesterday!!! I could not get going, I felt dreadful. 😩
Today I felt a bit better so I've managed to do stuff, but I am definitely a lot more tired than I've been before.

@binnsy1985 what an awful situation to be in. I agree with @Nic2908, make sure you do what YOU want, and it sounds like you want to be a mummy. If you've told him this but he isn't respectful of that, then he is the selfish one. You are never selfish when you want to keep a baby. I was 34 when I had my first, now pregnant again at 36; I never thought I'd be a mummy either but now it's all I live for. My husband is merchant navy so he's away a lot for weeks or months on end, so it's a lot like single parenting, and I don't resent it. Nothing like baby and toddler cuddles and 'I love you mummy' ❤️ whatever choice you make, we're here for you, but please don't think you're selfish if you choose baby over him xx

Hi everyone! I can't believe how many little Christmas babies there are going to be 👶🏼🎄 I got my first positive last week and think I'm now 5+3, due 21st December. I've been a little worried because I feel like I don't really have too many signs, I've had bloating, headaches and cramping but no nausea, sore boobs etc. Not sure whether it's normal or not, especially as I haven't heard back from the midwife yet and have been told I don't need to speak to a doctor if I feel fine. Patiently waiting now!x

I thi k people who don't feel symptoms yet shouldn't be worried, you should be happy 😂😂 it may be an easy pregnancy, or it may hit you in a month's time when nausea and all that starts hehehe, in which case, enjoy feeling ok just now!! X

@binnsy1985 I'm so sorry for what you are going through right now. I am 35 also and really feel like this is a miracle that I never thought would happen. I had a termination at 26 shortly after I married my first husband. He wanted me to terminate the pregnancy and I went along with his wishes. It's the biggest regret of my life. We separated 8 years later as he didn't want to have children (If only he told me that before me we got married)I think you need to think about you and your baby. If this guy is worth your love he will step up and be a good Dad and partner. Xx

@ArjaD I'm wishing for the signs so that I know everything's ok, but I have a feeling I'll change my mind once I get them 😂

I think I'm due on either the 24th or 25th. I won't know my dates until my scan hopefully at 12 weeks. I miscarried at 6 weeks on the 19th March & fell pregnant again before I even had a period which was a massive shock. I'm still worried about the same thing happening again but I'm optimistic. I can't believe there's so many Christmas babies due, obviously this lock down is going to cause a baby boom 😂.
@binnsy1985 I'm so sorry you're going through this. I agree with the other ladies, what do you want? Forget your partner, if it was me I know I couldn't have a future with someone who wanted me to abort a baby after trying for as long as you have.

@Lori86 wow that's amazing, what an emotional rollercoaster for you! How you feeling??
I had a MMC last August so I totally understand your worries.
I'm trying so hard to stay calm and not worry.
Have you thought about an early scan??
I've booked one for the 17th May so I should be about 8/9 weeks then. Just to give a bit of reassurance.

@Jasminex1 I have been having the same worries. I think I’m 5 weeks today and haven’t really had any symptoms but tonight my boobs have started hurting and I’ve felt a bit sick after evening meal. This has seriously made me so happy ladies!!!

I just feel like I have mega trapped wind around this time for the last 2 days. And I have backache if I stay in the same position too long! So gassy and bloated tonight its unreal

I want my boobs to hurt which sounds ridiculous but I feel like it's a common sign that I want haha

@Katbaby that was me last week and now my boobs are absolutely killing and the nausea Hs well and truly hit!

@Katbaby me too!!! I'm like why don't I have that too haha, like I say I'm sure I'll regret it when the symptoms come but for now I'm wishing for them!

Hallo ☺️ and thanks for the welcome. Does anyone else feel like there stomach is bigger already at 4 weeks? I am so bloated I can barely do up my shorts around my waist already 😳

@djmbaker it really is, I was so shocked when I found out that I feared I couldn't really enjoy it as I was still grieving the loss but now I'm trepidatiously getting excited again. I was even thinking of Christmas inspired names which probably sounds really corny!!
I'm not sure about having an early scan, I live in the back of beyonds & it would take me 2 hours to get to a private scan facility so I'm not sure what to do. I'd love to though. Best of luck with your scan and sorry for your loss. Fingers crossed we all have lovely easy pregnancies but you're right it's so hard not to worry, I'm just trying to relax & leave it to fate (easier said then done) x

@YahBasic sorry if you've already said earlier in the thread (hard to keep up) but how far along are you?
@Jasminex1 honestly I think just having something constantly bothering me would always remind me I'm pregnant!

Anyone suffering from back pain? Mines been uncomfortable all day today and feels worse tonight along with the trapped wind feeling

@Katbaby my boobs hurting is the worst thing, I've gone up a bra size already I'm only 5 weeks I can't even sleep properly they hurt that much 😓 my boyfriend knocked into me before and hit them I felt like he'd smacked me full on with a brick 😂 I'm hoping they go back to normal soon haha. @LiquoriceAllsortsCandySticks yes!!! I know I am pregnant so it sounds wired but I look pregnant at 5 weeks. I normally have a flat stomach now there's a little bump going on, I hope the bloat goes down soon, I'm glad of lockdown I can live in comfy clothes haha, congratulations on your pregnancy xx

@Katbaby I’m 6+5 today.

I was genuinely thinking I could be in the 10% of women who didn’t get morning sickness on Tuesday, and I have literally spent the past two days constantly grazing and moaning

Hahaa @YahBasic my appetite hasnt changed noticeably apart from I normally don't eat breakfast but I'm waking up with like burning indegestion style hunger /fullness aha

But Ive felt waves of sickness and MY GOD Im so tired. Forcing myself to do my 4 /5 mile walk daily as it sorts me out but didn't go out til about 5 tonight had a proper lazy day.

When are everyone's midwife booking in appt?

@Lori86 we are identical! We sadly lost our first pregnancy at 6+2 on 19th March and got pregnant again two weeks later, due on Christmas Eve! How are you feeling?

@Katbaby aww are we, I'm due Christmas Eve I think. I have my first midwife appointment and scan in 12 days, can't wait I just want peace of mind. Do you have yours booked? X

@Bethan91 yes I think based on signs I've had and the light spotting last week and my digi test today I'm gonna guess I'm due Christmas eve /Christmas day time!

I have my midwife booking in appointment on 7th so 2 weeks today and then I wouldn't be surprised if I get sent for an early scan as I don't have an LMP to date me from.

Is yours a private scan you've booked? I plan on booking one if I don't get sent for one. Im desperate for peace of mind too!

@bethan91 ... yey! Glad I'm not the only one. Like you say... it does sound daft, I mean, we are pregnant, but I def thought it would take a bit longer before I lost my waist! Congrats on your lil bean too ☺️
