Hey all, just got my bfp which puts me on course for a Christmas baby! According to my calendar it will be around 27th Dec but we'll get a better idea once we get the 12 week scan. I've already got a handsome 2 year old boy. ♥️Anyone else due à Christmas baby or fancy some pregnancy chat?

@Bethan91 haha I know!! A winter shower from home can work.. we have to do loads of house work too before a baby can arrive so I hope everything can go back to normal soon enough! 🙏🏻

Natt99 · 23/04/2020 09:26

@Katbaby no, I thought about it but as I know last period date I'm pretty sure on the number of weeks (5 yesterday) Will let you know what they say at the scan on 2nd May though, will probably find out I'm 10 weeks or something 😂 definitely getting a little pot belly, apparently my mum was huge with me but tiny with my sister who is younger 🤔

djmbaker · 23/04/2020 09:30

Done!! Corrrr it's a long enough wait isn't it??? That felt like ages for it to say!!
So 2-3 weeks since conception then! What would that make me? 🤔

Katbaby · 23/04/2020 09:32

Oh yes @Natt99 let us know 🤞🤞 bet you cant wait for your scan. If you can then upload a pic of your scan too?

leannewithadash · 23/04/2020 09:34

@djmbaker congratulations
There should be a little chart on the leaflet. Mine said 1-2 which made me 5 weeks. I'm guessing you are 6 or 7 weeks xx

Katbaby · 23/04/2020 09:43

Oh I can't wait for mine to get here!! Hurry up amazon!

Natt99 · 23/04/2020 09:44

@Katbaby ooh yes I will do as it comes with a pic. Not sure there is much to see but might be useful for others who are considering it.
@djmbaker congrats! x

Katbaby · 23/04/2020 09:47

Just read online that it's from conception rather than beginning of cycle so you would add 2 weeks to it

Bethan91 · 23/04/2020 09:47

@djmbaker I only have to sort baby room out which is good, we renovated out house completely nearly 2 years ago so I really can't be bothered with much more mess haha!

My test says 2-3 weeks too which is bang on as I am 5 weeks today. I think if I had taken it today or any later it would possibly be 3+ x

djmbaker · 23/04/2020 10:13

Yehh I asked my midwife (whose my friend as well) and she said it's from conception and just goes off how much of the hormone is in your wee. She told me off for doing it .. like having two partners! "You have done 3 tests.. your pregnant"

I think I may delay my early scan by a week.. as I've got it booked for two and I'll only be about 7 +3.. it seems too soon?? What do you all think??

Katbaby · 23/04/2020 10:26

@djmbaker I read on my local window to the womb website that a heartbeat can be detected from around 6-7 weeks as long as your happy to have an internal scan to see it. I think I'm gonna aim for 8-9 weeks for mine but waiting to see if my midwife will send me for one before I pay for one, she may do since I have no LMP to date from

djmbaker · 23/04/2020 10:37

@Katbaby yep that's what I'm going to do. I got my dates all muddled so I'm going to push it later.

My partner is so stressed and worried so I think he will benefit more from it being later.

Thankyou!!

Katbaby · 23/04/2020 10:42

TMI warning!

I know pregnancy symptoms include constipation.. Is any one finding they are actually going to the bathroom more??

Katbaby · 23/04/2020 10:43

@djmbaker you're probably doing the right thing moving it later as well 😊

leannewithadash · 23/04/2020 11:50

@Katbaby I've been quite regular but read that going more frequently is possible too.

scblob · 23/04/2020 12:10

So the post man has put me in a brilliant mood, I've just received the date for my 12 weeks scan!

I'm so excited but nervous as I've to have multi care (I think that's what they call it) however I get to see my little spud (or spuds)

Nic2908 · 23/04/2020 12:12

Guys I'm freaking out.... been having pains all morning but nothing more that usual. I've just been too the loo (constipated) and I've wiped some blood stained mucus away.... I'm having a little melt down. I'm 4+4

scblob · 23/04/2020 12:14

Oh no @Nic2908 have to got a number for a midwife or EPU?

Nic2908 · 23/04/2020 12:17

@scblob I've found a number in leaflet for EPU. Do you think I need to ring them?

Natt99 · 23/04/2020 12:23

Oh no @Nic2908 was it bright red or brown? Could it be from straining from the toilet?Either way it's definitely worth ringing, they may say they can't do anything until you're 6 weeks though. This happened to me the first day I found out, hence early scan but all was ok since x

Nic2908 · 23/04/2020 12:28

It looked like is was fresh it was like a light red but mucous not blood like af if that makes any sense @Natt99.

SYVH · 23/04/2020 12:35

Just taking some tentative steps with my second post! Congratulations everyone. Had a MMC in 2017, a CM last year and after finally asking for a referral for IVF found out that I was pregnant a few weeks ago! Very terrified.

@nic2908 Bleeding is common in early pregnancy but I would try your surgery and see if you can have an urgent chat with a midwife (even if you haven't booked in yet) or try your EPU. I had to go to A&E last time and had blood tests but I appreciate that night not be what you're comfortable doing at the moment? Sending you lots of love.

Katbaby · 23/04/2020 12:35

@Nic2908 it could well have been straining from the toilet 🤞🤞 try to breath and yeah get in touch with epu. I had all that spotting for days last week and my tests have still been getting stronger every day so I'm taking that as a good sign so hopefully just a bit of either excess or straining!

Natt99 · 23/04/2020 12:36

Could be like that as it's mixed with discharge. A few of us on here have had spotting so it's probably nothing to worry about and read so many threads saying it's normal. However, you should be concerned if it's lots - like closer to a period, clots and with cramping pain. I would definitely give your doctors, epu or even 111 a call though. Really hope it's ok for you xx

HollySmith29 · 23/04/2020 12:36

Hey!

I am due 17th Dec - never been so nervous of anything before!!! I have no idea what I am supposed to do whatsoever - my boobs are already huge and I'm only bang on 6 weeks today!!!!

Clearly this is my first - super excited but definitely wish I could go to the doctor etc so I knew slightly more about what to do!

Any tips or advice to help with painful boobs or constant hunger/nausea PLEASE send them my way!!!

(And I'm 26 - making myself sound like I'm 18 here!!!)
