Hey all, just got my bfp which puts me on course for a Christmas baby! According to my calendar it will be around 27th Dec but we'll get a better idea once we get the 12 week scan. I've already got a handsome 2 year old boy. ♥️Anyone else due à Christmas baby or fancy some pregnancy chat?

@leannewithadash woop woop, can't believe the amount of bfps this month! If only I could have a few rums to celebrate but I'll have to pass 😂

@princessgingy dont worry at all.. everyone is different!! My friend is 13 weeks pregnant right now and she feels great, she's had a few little niggles nothing major. Everyone's pregnancy is different.. So don't worry yourself ❤️

djmbaker · 21/04/2020 20:02

@leannewithadash yay congratulations!!!! 💕

djmbaker · 21/04/2020 20:04

@ArjaD haha total baby boom!! Get ready for the "well I guess there was nothing else to do, you might as well make a baby" 😂

djmbaker · 21/04/2020 20:06

@Katbaby bless you!!! That's funny 😂 those afternoon naps are a killer.

ArjaD · 21/04/2020 20:29

@djmbaker hahahaha yup I will be preparing for the "wow, you were bored huh?" comments! I guess there will be someone out there naming their child Corona 🤔🙄

@december2020 try not to worry I had lots of spotting Thursday Friday Saturday to the point I thought I was having a chemical and the fear is still there but its completely stopped now and the lines are getting darker on tests so hopefully 🤞🤞 did a ridiculous amount of research on spotting and it can be common. If it gets heavier contact your hospitals epu to check you over. Thinking of you x

@djmbaker oh don't i know I'm just so sleepy and thirsty! Wanting to do my digi test tomorrow and scared my urine will be too dilute cos can't stop chugging water!

Katbaby · 21/04/2020 20:42

@ArjaD I've already read an article on people in India naming their baby sanitiser... How truee that Is I'm not sure 🤣

djmbaker · 21/04/2020 20:54

@Katbaby I have just had two digital ones delivered so I'm going to do one tomorrow I think. Even after having 3 positives it's still so scary doing another test I find.

@ArjaD haha 💯 be a few "coronas" registered.. or maybe a more feminine version of "Dettol" 😂😂

Katbaby · 21/04/2020 21:01

@djmbaker I agree, Ive had one faint and 3 convincing bfps and yet still I think what if its negative then what!? Which is stupid I'm definitely pregnant but it's just hard to imagine!

Fmu is not for me as you can guarantee I wake up at like 4 /5 for a pee then wake up at 6 wide awake and busting haha. Today I just held for 2 and a half hours for my frer. Think I will prob do the same for my digi tomorrow.

So I think I've decided tomorrow is the day I'm going to tell my mum 🤞🤞 she's absolutely desperate to be a grandma so she's going to be elated! So excited to tell her. Anyone told people yet and had some lovely / not so lovely reactions?

ArjaD · 21/04/2020 21:09

@Katbaby awwww good luck, let us know how your mum reacts🙏 my mum cried with our first, can't wait to tell her this time. She's defo not expecting it as she thinks I'm too old anyway 🤣🤣
Sanitiser??? Omg the poor children!!

@djmbaker Dettollia? 😂😂😂

djmbaker · 21/04/2020 21:12

@Katbaby I've told my mum already, I went to see her on Saturday to drop some food off (her and my dad are on the vulnerable list) and she said straight away, are you ok.. you don't look yourself 🤦🏻‍♀️ I am a shitty liar so it just came out.
My partner doesn't know I've told her, he is absolutely petrified so we are technically not supposed to tell anyone. He hasn't told his mum yet!! He's waiting until at least the 7/8 week scan in two weeks.
I've also told one friend, she had a miscarriage the same time as me but she got pregnant again straight away so I told her. That's it. And you guys.. 🙈😂 thank god for this!!! I'd be bursting if I didt have this.

@ArjaD that's the one.. 😂😂

Katbaby · 21/04/2020 21:14

@ArjaD I will 🤞 she will hopefully happy cry haha. Thinks you are too old ahha!? I bet she's secretly hopeful deep down!

And I know I'm gonna get mine a baby grow that says 'made in lockdown' or something but not gonna call it a daft name haha

Katbaby · 21/04/2020 21:21

@djmbaker I'd burst if I didn't have this too!

No one knows yet until I tell mum tomorrow.
One of my very good friends told me when she was only 4 weeks, shes 20 weeks now. I feel bad not telling her as well but it's personal and joint choice with me and hub. I will prob tell close friends and family after 8 week private scan if all is okay

Tbug · 21/04/2020 21:21

I've told basically my whole family 🙊 can't help myself

DontStandSoClose · 21/04/2020 21:51

I've told 2 close friends (they both laughed lots) we all have children similar ages, so it was a haa haa you sure about this?! I was quite open with my friends about us wanting 3 children all along though and seeing as we both turn 37 this year we haven't exactly got years. So not unexpected.

I think most people will think we have been shagging like rabbits (that was one friends comment!) all this time at home together when in reality we had sex twice in the last month 😆 Just picked the days wisely (We have a 4 year old and 2 year old that NEVER leave us alone and get into our bed every night, the two times was hard work as it was 😂).

Nic2908 · 21/04/2020 22:31

My husband and I haven't told anyone apart from my manager at work. Going to keep it a surprise until after 12 weeks I think. @Katbaby have a special day tomorrow.

princessgingy · 21/04/2020 23:12

Aw @Katbaby that sounds lovely. Let us know how it goes.

We’ve told immediate family (parents and siblings) as me and OH are both very close to our families. Also we’re currently living with our in laws (wasn’t planned to be sharing a house, they were teaching in China and we were house sitting and saving for a mortgage and then bam, Coronavirus, so they had to come home and the housing market has dried up but we’ve got enough for a deposit saved so I’m confident we’ll be out before the little one arrives). Be hard to keep it a secret. My in laws are fine about it but sort of not super excited or anything but they are in a stressful situation with their jobs and trying to teach online during the night etc at the moment. My side is pretty excited though and my mom is ecstatic. She’s been desperate for grandchildren and as the oldest at nearly 30, she’s been waiting a while. My poor dad keeps getting woken up in the middles of the night by her to be asked questions like ‘what do you want the child to call you’?

ArjaD · 22/04/2020 06:42

@princessgingy awww your mum sounds lovely ❤️❤️ I can't wait to tell my mum, hopefully soon. My dad passed away in April last year so it will defo bring some light in our lives. She's already crazy about our wee boy. But she stays in Belgium so it's not easy.

Thanks so much for the kind words @Katbaby 💖
The fear is definitely there, I feel you! I'll try just keep my mind occupied and hope it was just a one off random bout. I definitely had a good hour on Dr. Google afterwards! 😂 how are you doing?

J6J6 · 22/04/2020 07:14

Had my telephone booking appointment with the midwife yesterday, which was all straightforward save for she was a bit worried about the fact that I haven't had a period since end of January and said that could mean I'm 12 weeks! I explained I have PCOS and really irregular cycles and did have a negative test in March but she has told me to go to the early pregnancy unit this morning for a scan. I'm pretty sure I'm still around 5 weeks or so, but we shall see! Bit nervous about going to St George's hospital for the scan, especially as my boyfriend obviously can't come, but also feeling very excited! 🤞 all is well ☺️

Katbaby · 22/04/2020 07:24

Thanks girls Ive woken up super excited. Also did my digi test this morning, guess 4 frers and a digi cant be wrong! Think hubby really believes it too now🤣🤣 I certainly believed it yesterday afternoon when I was laid in bed so tired thinking I was gonna puke!

@djmbaker my gran lives half a mile from me and I stopped at her driveway to say hello whilst out on a dog walk yesterday and she fancies herself as a witch 🤣 I'm sure she worked it out even though I didn't let anything on she mentioned babies 3 times in a ten min chat! Haha.

@ArjaD @princessgingy @Nic2908 thanks 😊😊 I will let you all know how it goes later! Husband is going on a bike ride this morning so I have to wait til this afternoon! I've woke up bursting with excitement!!

@princessgingy at least living there for a while helps you save for all baby essentials also! I know I'm gonna want to spend like crazy I hope by the time our 12 weeks scan has passed the shops have reopened so I can buy EVERYTHING!

@Nic2908 I am amazed how you are gonna be able to keep it to yourselves! I'm thinking ill tell people like grandparents and sister once weve had an 8 week scan.

I feel like you @Tbug I want to tell everyone!

Katbaby · 22/04/2020 07:41

@december2020 yeah I'm feeling good thank you, have you had any more spotting since yesterday? Dr google is deadly but addictive!

Ooo @J6J6 I haven't had a period since my withdrawal in December, I kind of hope I get sent for one! Any excuse to see baby earlier.

ArjaD · 22/04/2020 08:06

Goooooood morning all! Hope you all slept well, I swear I got up like 7 times to pee 🙄 what's the plans for Today? I was thinking I may move to the kitchen at some point...

@Katbaby glad you're feeling well ☺️☺️ any new symptoms? No spotting since the incident yesterday. So keeping my fingers crossed it was the first and last time. It's definitely a triple check every time I pee 😂 paranoid much? Dr Google has definitely become a dear friend 😂

@ArjaD I'm working from home so will need to have my first work call in 40mins. I'd prefer to just have a lounge on the sofa 😅 thank god with the lockdown no need to commute right now! How are you?
