Just started with some mild shooting pains in my lower abdomen. Almost 10 weeks. Not wanting to google it. Don't think it's round ligament pain as isn't that on the side? Could it just be like growing pains from my uterus?

BuffaloCauliflower · 22/04/2020 21:27

@Pink15 I’ve had various random shooting pains on and off. Some that made me squeal a bit! I think it’s just uterus stretching, muscles moving around etc. I’m less concerned about them now I’ve seen the heartbeat, although it’s the same pain

Sakura54 · 23/04/2020 07:49

OMG it's finally the day of my scan..feels like I've been waiting forever (I'm nearly 13 weeks). I really hope I'll be getting good news. Wish me luck, guys lol screams

Is anyone else constantly retching but not being sick? Feeling on and off nausea but mostly retching allllll day long. It’s a new symptom that’s appeared at week 10. Sipping water and grazing all day, just can’t shake the retching 😵

HarrietM87 · 23/04/2020 08:48

Good luck @Sakura54!

I have my harmony test and private scan today, and appointment with my dr who will hopefully tell me I can start weaning off the steroids I’m on 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

wannabebump · 23/04/2020 08:59

Good luck today @Sakura54 @Wmma xx

AnxiousLady1 · 23/04/2020 09:15

Best of luck to everyone having scans today. Xx

novicettc · 23/04/2020 09:36

Good luck to everyone with scans today/tomorrow!! I have mine this day next week Grin

futuredreams · 23/04/2020 09:42

@novicettc me too! Next Thursday. Will be 13+3 Smile

Natopp · 23/04/2020 09:46

I'm 11 weeks today. 2 weeks exactly until my scan. Are you all stopping taking folic acid after your scan? I was just thinking if I'm behind on dates I don't want to stop taking it earlier than the 12 week point as advised.

HarrietM87 · 23/04/2020 09:48

@Natopp I’m going to finish my pack of pregnacare and then stop there I think - prob have 2.5 weeks left which will take me to 13ish weeks. Will continue taking vitamin D as I always take that anyway.

Natopp · 23/04/2020 09:51

@harrietM87 I'll do the same! Good luck for today and to everyone else having scans and tests 😊 xx

burntpinky · 23/04/2020 09:56

@Wmma @Sakura54 @HarrietM87 good luck all! x

BuffaloCauliflower · 23/04/2020 10:38

I’m feeling sicker today and also seem to have started getting some diarrhoea too, so that’s helpful

ParisInTheSpringtime · 23/04/2020 11:15

I had my scan, and it’s all fine! The blob was jiggling about like no-one’s business 😂 clearly I’m just not going to have symptoms.

I have enough pregnacare to see me through - I was just going to keep taking it. Am I not meant to?

AnxiousLady1 · 23/04/2020 11:17

@ParisInTheSpringtime Brilliant news!!

To be honest I hadn't even realised we stop taking folic acid...better check at my scan tomorrow..

LouLouP7 · 23/04/2020 11:29

@ParisInTheSpringtime congratulations on your scan, that's great news!

I have pregnacare too and it says you can take throughout the whole of pregnancy. I bought too much not realising that folic acid was only mainly important for the first 12 weeks so I'm just going to carry on taking it until I run out. I'm sure it won't do any harm as it has other vitamins in there too and I'm not managing to eat the most varied diet at the moment because of constant nausea/sickness! X

HarrietM87 · 23/04/2020 11:40

I hate taking the pregnacare horsepills! I have a really good diet so not worried about stopping taking them. Folic acid is only needed for first 12 weeks because it’s important for the formation of the baby’s neural tube/nervous system which is complete by 12 weeks.
