*yey

burntpinky · 22/04/2020 16:23

Called the clinic to see if they knew whether the lab had received my sample but they wouldn’t tell me anything. Just being told they’ll contact me when they get the results but this waiting is so hard, esp as I am back to feeling rubbish and overwhelmed. Bloody coronavirus just impacts on absolutely everything doesn’t it?

Hancock2020 · 22/04/2020 16:26

Well I feel too normal for 9 weeks for everything to be ok. The only thing I have I slight tummy ache, not pain, and tender boobs but even they aren't as tender as they have been.
It just all feels a bit gone if you know what mean?
I'm not feeling hopeful right now. And still probably 3 weeks to wait for scan

BuffaloCauliflower · 22/04/2020 16:26

@burntpinky what’s the sample for? I think I missed that. And yes it does impact everything, and then you see nurses on here saying their hospitals are really quiet. They’ve shut loads down to make space for Covid that seemingly hasn’t been needed in lots of places, which is a good thing but how long till they can start putting normal play back into place?

BuffaloCauliflower · 22/04/2020 16:28

@Hancock2020 I feel mostly fine. But tired and woozy for a small pocket in the afternoons, but my hangover feeling is gone, good aversions have gone, my boob pain went weeks ago! Your body might just be taking the hormones well! Is it worth getting an early scan if you’re nervous?

BuffaloCauliflower · 22/04/2020 16:29

Lord the typos! Bit tired food aversions

burntpinky · 22/04/2020 16:29

@BuffaloCauliflower sorry it was for my NIPT test

Snee9 · 22/04/2020 16:30

@Hancock2020
All of my symptoms were completely gone by around 8 weeks I'd say. I just woke up one day as was fine. I had a scan this week and everything is fine! Apparently it is quite normally just to lose symptoms.

Workingmama1 · 22/04/2020 16:32

@WildflowerPetals so sorry to hear your news, it is truly crappy. There is a thread I found today specifically about missed miscarriage which you might find helpful
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/3887013-Missed-Miscarriage
Treatment options may be different to normal due to covid, feel free to PM me if you want to chat to someone also going through it xx

Hancock2020 · 22/04/2020 16:46

@BuffaloCauliflower I had an early scan on the 13th and she said everything is fine, good string heart beat, where it should be and no concerns, I think maybe I'm just being silly.
Seeing all the unfortunate ladies on here losing their babies isn't helping either

BuffaloCauliflower · 22/04/2020 17:03

@Hancock2020 it’s not silly at all, it’s really normal to feel anxious. And it’s good to talk about how you feel. But yes Mumsnet does give more insight into other women’s struggles than you’d see otherwise. If it would help you feel calmer get another scan. It’s so hard when you can see what’s going on in there.

Hancock2020 · 22/04/2020 17:05

Dh keeps telling me everything is fine so no need to spend more money out when we can just wait and see.

Audio30 · 22/04/2020 17:09

@Hancock2020 try not to get too stressed! I got so anxious a few days ago because my symptoms completely disappeared (I literally don't feel pregnant at all, except for occasional mild cramps). I had a second private scan today at 9+2 (scan addiction anyone?!) And everything is totally fine and the twins were flailing their little arms and legs around ☺️ we've got to feel thankful that we aren't vomiting all day! Hang on in there! 💛

MoreGinPlease2020 · 22/04/2020 17:11

@HarrietM87 HR are currently calculating my qualifying period which I suspect means my enhanced mat pay will take a hit, otherwise they'd just say not to panic as they'll pay the full amount...?! They're not that generous so it's not a huge sum but it's still crappy.

Hancock2020 · 22/04/2020 17:15

@Audio30 youd think I'd be happy not to feel sick lol I guess we just get so used to it that its strange when we dont

Hancock2020 · 22/04/2020 17:16

And yey sounds like your scan was wonderful 😊

FilthyforFirth · 22/04/2020 18:39

I'm so sorry to hear this @WildflowerPetals. I hope you have lots of rl support. Hugs.

I am just experiencing a random bout of diarrhea, is this cause for concern? No other symptoms other than my standard ones. It isnt pleasant on top of the HG and is making me puke more...

Pink15 · 22/04/2020 19:02

@FilthyforFirth could it be a tummy bug? Just stay hydrated and I'm sure won't affect baby xx

burntpinky · 22/04/2020 19:15

@FilthyforFirth I’ve had a couple of these and have just put it down to hormones. I’m sure it will be fine but get that it makes you feel more sick!

I’d come off my anti sickness meds but have just had to cave and take some as I puked this morning and have had waves of sickness all day abd really bad since around 530

KatieGlo · 22/04/2020 19:25

@FilthyforFirth me too last night had to run to the loo, I wouldn't worry unless you get dehydrated

Fouryearslater · 22/04/2020 19:54

My anti sickness tablets are making me constipated so I wouldn’t mind a bit of movement the other way!

Although I’m having to wean myself of the Ondansetron so hoping my bowels can sort themselves out. But so scared the sickness is going to be as bad as before. My pee is starting to look dark again 🙁 but I’m drinking as much as I can manage (I’m on my 4th big glass).

FilthyforFirth · 22/04/2020 20:03

Thanks everyone, I am off the loo and into bed. Fingers crossed I stay put now.

@fouryearslater I had severe problems with ondansatron and constipation that landed me in hospital last time... It got very close to extraction under GA! For that reason my GP isn't keen to prescribe this time round. So I really feel your pain. Can you stomach lactulose? Or gylcerin suppositries? Both safe to take.

Fouryearslater · 22/04/2020 20:10

@filthyforfirth I’m not sure if the lactulose is in date but I’ll check. If not, OH picked something else up (but I know that lctulose WORKS!). They don’t want to keep prescribing it for me anyway so I’m trying to eek them out as long as possible.

LozEliza · 22/04/2020 20:37

So sorry to hear this @WildflowerPetals Thanks

futuredreams · 22/04/2020 20:45

@Fouryearslater I was the same. I was sipping on coke because it was the only thing stopping me from feeling sick but I asked my husband to make me drink more water and fair play to him. I'm drinking 4 pints a day now on top of my tea once a day and random squash drink. It's really helped stop headaches I was getting.
