@MoreGinPlease2020 so have you told them you’re pregnant? I really want to hold out until I’ve had my 12 week scan and preferably until they’ve confirmed my bonus - I don’t trust them at all! They’ve said they’re paying bonuses as normal but in two tranches rather than in one go in July. Will be really interested to hear what your firm say - I’m in exactly the same boat re the enhanced bit of my mat pay.

MoreGinPlease2020 · 22/04/2020 12:21

@HarrietM87 Yes I told them pretty much straight away as I was terrified of another miscarriage and had an awful lot of time off at my last firm because of ongoing issues with and after the MMC. So I mainly wanted to give my boss a heads up as we're a small team. I was already in tears about my upcoming wedding so I thought I might as well get it all out at the same time! They don't really pay bonuses so I wasn't bothered about that - and I don't suppose there'll be any pay rises this year...

ACatCalledLola · 22/04/2020 12:21

Sorry to hear people are struggling. I’ve had a few tears because I’m missing my mum. She doesn’t know I’m pregnant yet and I just want to tell her and give her a big hug. My parents live several hours away so I can’t even wave at them.
@FilthyforFirth I’m also a runner usually but I feel so sick I can’t face it. It’s so annoying with Dh working from home because I could go for a nice long run but it’s not going to happen.
@60sPony I’ve completely gone off tea but I really fancy a milky coffee. It’s possibly because I’m so tired because of terrible insomnia. I know it’s fine to have some in pregnancy but I’m such a worrier so I haven’t yet. I’m in London too Smile

FilthyforFirth · 22/04/2020 12:29

I ran a half marathon in October and was planning on getting my 5k and 10k times down this year. I was able to go on a few runs since lockdown, but since I hit 7 weeks I have largely been bed bound and I miss the freedom.

As I am barely functioning I bought DS an expensive pirate ship for the garden. DH has spent hours building it this morning and DS has done nothing but complain about it. I am just gutted that it hasn't bought him the joy I was hoping for. So that has bought another round of tears on.

Luckyme30 · 22/04/2020 12:36

@SMcG1 I posted a scan picture last week but no one replied lol.. I guess the thread gets full quickly!

They were not able to get nuchal measurements when I had my scan last Friday. Unfortunately it means you have to have a blood test with your midwife but it only tests for downs.

I am considering the NIPT - I started a separate thread on here re the NIPT if you wanted to have a look it’s got some good replies. It should come up on the first few pages of this forum :) hope this helps

Sakura54 · 22/04/2020 12:42

@luckyme30 I replied and you replied back, but yes this thread moves quick.

@HarrietM87 I’m fee earning too. Still doing normal hours at the mo, but I think they are going to move us to a 4 day week which will be awful. We will he expected to do the full amount of work for less pay basically. I’ve been working my arse off to get my billables up in case of redundancies. The worry is getting to me to be honest.

ACatCalledLola · 22/04/2020 12:52

@Luckyme30 and @SMcG1 that’s really annoying. With both of my children I’ve had to go out of the room for a cold drink and a walk around to get the baby moving. Had to do it twice with dd1. Presumably they want to get people out of the hospital quickly at the moment so they’re not allowing them to hang around for rescans. I’m going to get the harmony/nipt done if they can’t get the measurements because I’m old.

SqidgeBum · 22/04/2020 13:04

I just had some blood on my tissue in the bathroom Sad I am 11+4. Symptoms disappeared yesterday but i was taking that as the end of MS. Hubbie did some googling and said it could be because I have cervical polyps and went for a long walk this morning. I havent had any bleeding up to now. Now I am focusing on any twinge. Fearing the worst now, after 6 weeks of so much nausea and vomiting!

Fouryearslater · 22/04/2020 13:11

@FilthyforFirth I’m with you with not being able to run. I was going for my sub hour 10k this yeah (was so close!) but that isn’t going to happen now. If the HG miraculously disappears I am going to pick it up slowly again, I double checked with my midwife and she said it was ok to do so. My running club buddies are having lots of fun dressing up and cheering up the community.

Eskdale2004 · 22/04/2020 13:14

@Squidgebum I had a bit of bloody mucus with my last pregnancy around this time. I absolutely freaked out, it was a small amount but bright red and only when I wiped, I was also having quite nasty back and abdominal cramps. I hadn’t had any scans before this point to confirm or deny a viable pregnancy either. Was certain that I’d be walking out of the scanning room in tears however baby was fine. Had a similar incident again a week later, got checked out and again all fine. She’s currently upstairs napping.

BuffaloCauliflower · 22/04/2020 13:29

All good news at scan Smile baby measuring at 10+5 although I was going on 10 weeks today (might be a day or two out but not that much, so think it’s just big, which is a comfort!) new EDD 13th of November. Feeling very relieved.

Wise0wl · 22/04/2020 13:49

@buffalocauliflower congrats!! What a great pic.

@SqidgeBum thinking of you and hope it’s ok. I’ve had spotting mostly throughout so far, no GP or midwife is at all concerned. Maybe contact them if you’re worried?

Pink15 · 22/04/2020 13:51

@BuffaloCauliflower yay so happy for you!

@SqidgeBum ah sorry to hear that but if only small amount and no cramping probably okay? Did you have an early scan already I can't remember - I guess at least you must be due your 12 week scan any day? 🤞 glad your husband is being supportive he may well be right!

SqidgeBum · 22/04/2020 13:55

My midwife told me to call the GP but the GP is closed for training so I won't be able to speak to anyone until tomorrow. I havent had an early scan so I have no idea if the pregnancy is even viable. I am due my 12 week scan next Tuesday. I wasnt even that worried about the scan, but now I am.

HarrietM87 · 22/04/2020 13:56

@MoreGinPlease2020 it’s probs a relief that you’ve told them - it’s massively hanging over me. I’m running a massive case with a trial date next year when I’ll be on mat leave so it’s not going to go down well.

@ParisInTheSpringtime you think they’ll cut your pay but the hours will stay the same? We’ve been told it’s 80% work for 80% pay and they’ll top up salaries if you do more. I’m still v busy so unsure if it will apply to me. Just complete limbo atm.

ACatCalledLola · 22/04/2020 13:57

@SqidgeBum sorry to hear that. I’m the same stage as you and symptoms mostly disappeared so I don’t think that’s anything to worry about. They should get better at this stage anyway. Fingers crossed it’s nothing and you’ve just overdone things.
Congratulations @BuffaloCauliflower

HarrietM87 · 22/04/2020 13:57

@SqidgeBum I had a full on massive bleed and awful cramps and it was nothing! I’m not worried for you at all - I’m sure will be fine. And less than a week until your scan - just hang on in there.

MoreGinPlease2020 · 22/04/2020 14:02

@HarrietM87 @ParisInTheSpringtime I did wonder if I'd been a bit premature, but as social distancing was announced the next day, and my boss refused to let me back into the office, I was quite glad.

I'm transactional so stuff can be handed over easily enough, but other than a nightmare deal I'm trying desperately to get over the line before financial y/e, most things are on hold. We'll be paid 80% for 80% work but the firm are very good about hours generally so I'm lucky. Other than the odd busy day, I've been pretty bored - I should hit my month's financial target if I can get this sodding deal done...

Sakura54 · 22/04/2020 14:09

@SqidgeBum nah, my symptoms are gone too, so I hope for you it's not a sign of anything and that the bleeding is nothing and will stop. Keep us updated ok.

DanceM1 · 22/04/2020 14:19

@SqidgeBum I'm 11 + 4 I think and my symptoms have completely gone too.. I go a bit light headed every now and then but to be honest, that happened pre pregnancy too! I'm hoping all is ok! X

SMcG1 · 22/04/2020 14:21

@Luckyme30 it does seem to move really fast. I have a hard time keeping up lol. I tried to find the thread but I’m rubbish with this site so couldn’t manage. I’ve to go back for the blood test in 3 weeks. I’m not high risk so I don’t know if I can justify paying the price of the NIPT. She said during the scan that from what she could see everything looked fine but she could give me a definite answer.

@ACatCalledLola she did have me moving about slot and the baby did move position a few times but just never the right way! I think you’re right about them not wanting to keep people there for too long.

MillieY · 22/04/2020 14:30

I'm 10+6 and symptoms seem to have gone, didn't think I would wish MS to come back to reassure me! Eating like there's no tomorrow!

Clove20 · 22/04/2020 14:39

Hi ladies

4 weeks into my morning sickness, I am wondering what everyone else is doing? Is anyone on medication for it?

I'm on my 3rd type of medication (all 3 types have been ineffective so far) and kind of starting to feel like a lab rat with trying all these different things
