@Mrsallen17 I've not had any cravings yet waiting for them to kick in so I can eat something and actually enjoy it and I also seem to have a strong sense of smell so that could be what's put me off a few things.

@mrsb2019x Yeah it's quite overwhelming for me not being able to eat things I usually love but slowly getting use to it.

@positivevibes I usually love tuna but I've stayed far away from it cause I know the smell with just horrendous and I live in a studio flat so everything I cook kind of lingers for a few hours so tuna would be a nightmare with how my sense of smell is.

@lionsmum Yepp!! My nausea has been terrible since about Thursday i ordered something hard boiled sweets cause they are supposedly helpful I might give the ginger tea a try aswell cause nausea seems to be the worst symptom for me🥴

This is my first pregnancy and I seem to be getting every symptom possible I've heard it's a good thing but my body feels like it's in overdrive xx

Positevibes · 13/04/2020 18:09

@88claire there is a Facebook group I haven't joined it yet because I can't remember how 😂 maybe one of the others remember

hollye224 · 13/04/2020 18:40

Hello,

Just wondering if partners have been allowed to private scans? Xxx

everpessimistic · 13/04/2020 18:45

@hollye224 at mine one partner was allowed!

hollye224 · 13/04/2020 18:50

@everpessimistic ah thank you! That's good. I think I'm gonna hold off for now as we have a toddler and obviously no childcare at the moment!! Hope everything starts to go back to normal soon xx

everpessimistic · 13/04/2020 18:53

@hollye224 me too! In the end my husband and 15 month old sat in the car but were there just incase it was bad news. The scan only took 2 minutes maximum so it wasn’t too bad them waiting!

hollye224 · 13/04/2020 18:55

@everpessimistic oh really? That's a good idea I never thought of that! Will see if I can book one xx

Hatepickinganame · 13/04/2020 19:26

Can someone please put my mind at ease... im going to call gp in morning anyway if its still happening, but for the last couple of hours ive had a really weird pressure feeling way down in the groin area (way, way down, sort of where i had spd pains in my last pregnancy) sound normal or worrisome? Never been so anxious in a pregnancy before 🙄🙄

GoingBackTo505 · 13/04/2020 20:42

@hollye224 when I booked mine over the phone, the lady told me I could bring DP and DS as we can't leave DS with anyone with everything happening at the moment. That's with Window to to womb.

MrsB2019x · 13/04/2020 20:43

@88claire @Positevibes I believe you send your FB email to @littletandme in a PM and she will invite you x

Katnissx · 13/04/2020 20:58

Hello, can I join please 🤰🏼
Think I'm due around the 13th December and roughly 5 weeks now, although I'm not 100% sure on dates. We were trying for nearly a year and I was waiting to see a specialist after being diagnosed with PCOS. Absolutely thrilled to be expecting, this is our second baby.

@Lily501 I'm with you on the dry mouth and tiredness 😴 also sore boobs and cramps. Still doing HPTs every 2-3 days as I love seeing the line getting darker 🙈

Katnissx · 13/04/2020 21:05

@GoingBackTo505 that's so good that you were able to take DS too! I've been worrying about that exact thing as want DH there (as cant be with NHS) but no one to look after DS. Can I ask how far in advance you booked your scan in? I'm worried if I book it now things may change and they'll say DH/DS can't come after all and that's the main reason I want to book it 🙈

@Hatepickinganame I think that sounds normal to me, I've been having a lot of weird twinges and cramps and pulling etc quite low down, I think it's just everything growing and expanding- and also the increased blood flow down there.

@jtc19 I had really bad food aversion with my first pregnancy and drove my husband mad 😂 near enough ran out of things that were 'safe' to eat! I still haven't been able to look at quinoa the same way 🤢 really hoping I don't have it again this time 🙈

Katnissx · 13/04/2020 21:06

Anyone else binge watching One Born Every Minute? 🙈🙈🙈

GoingBackTo505 · 13/04/2020 21:26

@Katnissx I haven't had the scan yet. It's not til the 2nd May. I booked it on 5th April. So around 4 weeks in advance. I thought that too about things changing- I might actually ring them the day before just to double check they can still come. I'll be disappointed if they can't come but will definitely still go as I'm not having any symptoms at all so I need some sort of confirmation there's someone in there!

RyanStartedTheFire · 13/04/2020 22:18

Going I would give them a call as I was looking at a viability scan with window to the womb and it said only one additional person if absolutely necessary.

jtc19 · 13/04/2020 22:20

@Katnissx Yeah I'm absolutely repulsed by most foods right now, honestly didn't expect pregnancy to like this but trying to embrace it lol.

Pettirosso · 13/04/2020 23:19

Hello all. Hope you’re all well and the unconventional Easter 🐣 weekend went well.... am six weeks now and nausea has kicked in ... Feels like tum is full of hot cola... anyone else? 8 more weeks is feeling daunting

For ladies asking about symptoms fading, for me they’ve always come and gone in waves without it being a sign of anything more concerning. Keeps us on our toes I guess !!?

jtc19 · 14/04/2020 04:13

@pettirosso Yep my nausea is absolutely horrendous never experienced anything like it!! I think other than the nausea everything else is bareable, it's just such a discomforting feeling😖everyone's been saying it goes away by week 12 so looking forward to that but 6+5 so still a while to go x

Thatsnotmygruffalo · 14/04/2020 06:58

Hello ladies,

Just found out yesterday we are pregnant! I'm due on the 17th December which is my Grandmothers birthday. I have a strong feeling that she is taking care of this pregnancy which is great as I had a miscarriage in March 2019 and I'm the wrong side of 40.

We have a little girl already who will be 3 in November. I think that age gap will be manageable

Lovely to find a group of supportive woman to share this journey with. It feels very strange being pregnant with Covid-19 remaking havoc with everything and everyone!!

2108Ta · 14/04/2020 07:25

@Pettirosso thank you for symptoms advice. I cooked a little bit yesterday when I nearly threw up my dinner later in the evening.

@jtc19 My sickness is now really starting to kick in. All I can really stomach thinking about is cereal and fruit smoothies- figures is just live off these for 3 months 😅

For those of you who have been pregnant before, with dates, my last period was on the 28th February, but I’m certain we conceived on the 15th March (my husband is military and way for the beginning of the month) so am I just over 4 weeks or just over 6 weeks? Can anyone advice?

LuLaLaLa · 14/04/2020 07:25

Welcome newbies!

@Thatsnotmygruffalo it’s a surreal time to be pregnant that’s for sure. I go between feeling relived I can hide out my early weeks at home without making us excuses for not drinking etc to being a little sad that i might spend my entire pregnancy at home. But then being thankful I am not due the baby now and by December it should hopefully be back to normal!

Patte · 14/04/2020 07:26

Hi, can I join please? I'm 6+4, first pregnancy, trying not to stress too much about everything, but finding it difficult with not being able to see friends and family. Also I have a history of back problems so had found myself a physio to see when I got pregnant... now that's not happening! Other than that, pretty good so far, one (unjustified) panic about a pain and a bit of nausea but the nausea's not been constant.

RunnerGirl123 · 14/04/2020 07:47

Welcome and congratulations to all the new people joining. Hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend.

@2108Ta your doctor/midwife will date you from the first day of your last period up until your dating scan at 12 weeks, then I think they only change it if it's a certain number of days out. I wouldn't worry too much about the date you conceived unless it was over 3 or 4 weeks after the first day of your last period, as that's when there will be a bigger difference, especially with early scans.

Nausea has really started kicking in for me, I can still eat but some smells are starting to affect me, especially cat food!! Hoping I can manage it okay today whilst working from home, would have definitely struggled yesterday lol.

lionsmum · 14/04/2020 07:52

@2108Ta so for the sake of any dating that the NHS will do they will take your LMP as the date for working out when you conceived, even though you think you conceived on the 15th March you still add 2 weeks onto that date (your considered pregnant even when you're not) which would make you 6+2 today instead of 6+4, so it isn't changing your date by very much at all. Hope this helpsSmile

2108Ta · 14/04/2020 07:54

Thank you @RunnerGirl123 that puts me a little further along which is a bit of a comfort 🥰

Me too! Mine is the dog food! Can’t stand it!
