Thank you @lionsmum :) that’s what my app says so we will go with that 👍🏼

MrsB2019x · 14/04/2020 08:20

Woke up with pains again today, feels like someone is prodding me on one side then like a pulling/tugging sensation? Anyone else have this?

Rosie399 · 14/04/2020 08:37

Me too @mrsB2019x
I’m becoming super anxious of every twinge too, despite knowing its very normal!

Hatepickinganame · 14/04/2020 08:41

@MrsB2019x not a pulling sensation, but i do have a feeling of pressure, its hard to describe 🙄 @Rosie399 super anxious over here too. No idea why, dont remember being like this with my other pregnancies. Every ache and twinge makes me think oh is that normal? Really want to book a scan for 8 weeks...

Rosie399 · 14/04/2020 08:44

Me too @hatepickinganame. 12 weeks scan seems a long way off and I keep looking into research of the likelihood of miscarriage and scaring myself.

MrsB2019x · 14/04/2020 08:46

Pregnancy does batshit crazy things to us doesn’t it?! Half tempted to call EPU just to put my mind at rest.

Something must be moving forward though as I usually love cereal and I am repulsed at the thought of it this morning Confused

Hatepickinganame · 14/04/2020 09:16

@Rosie399 me too, the statistics are scary! Just keep telling myself the chances get lower every single day and my boobs hurt like hell so has to be a good sign!

@MrsB2019x yep, absolutely batshit crazy here. Spent most of yesterday in tears 😂😂

Lily501 · 14/04/2020 10:29

@MrsB2019x Me too! I've been feeling more like a pressure low down and really 'full' if you know what I mean... I don't think I'm bloating but convinced myself yesterday that there was already a bump starting (at 6 weeks) - crazy Confused

I've missed so much on this thread in 24 hours! Welcome and congratulations to all the newbies!! Flowers

Also ladies, can I ask your advice on something...?? Had a slightly stressful morning!

In Italy I need to get a little pregnancy book from the hospital in order to book in all my appointments, including the initial bloodwork to test for everything which can be anytime from 7 weeks (a week today). To get this little book I need to have an official certificate confirming my pregnancy with a urine test.

So, the problem is, 'private' (more like pay-as-you-go) doctors are all cancelled, and we're not able to travel between 'boroughs' which means I can't go to my family doctor, which means I have to go to a kind of A&E type surgery to do this urine test, to get the little pregnancy book, to book in my first scan! Quarantine is being slowly lifted here from about 4th May, so after this date it should all be much easier. The waiting around in A&E with lots of ill people worries me a little bit, given the circumstances, so would rather wait until I can go to my own doctor if I had a choice.

Basically my question is how important is it to have these early appointments as early as possible? Would waiting for my very first blood test and scan until week 10 or 11 be too dangerous? If something came up at these bloods, would I have left it too late?

xx

YahBasic · 14/04/2020 10:49

@lily501 - I have to fill in a self-referral and wouldn’t normally be seen until I was 8-10 weeks pregnant. The maternity unit have already advised that, due to lack of staff, they are moving that first booking in appointment back, so the first time I will have any blood tests or be seen will be when I’m 10-12 weeks.

They have said to get in touch if you have suffered 2+ previous miscarriages and they will see you earlier, however 10-11 weeks should be ok based on what my doctor is advising me!

YahBasic · 14/04/2020 10:50

Plus, unless you pay for a private scan, your first scan in the UK would normally be at that time anyway.

Lily501 · 14/04/2020 11:01

@YahBasic Oh phew! Thank you, that's reassuring. 10 weeks seems like such a long way off to know everything is going ok in there, but it'll be worth the wait, I'm sure!

YahBasic · 14/04/2020 11:25

@lily501 completely agree, it seems like forever away! I’m not even 5 weeks yet so just wanting that reassurance.

littletandme · 14/04/2020 11:57

Trying to keep up with messages today but am working so sorry if I fall behind!!
I am sporting the hairband loop on my jeans look today as I can officially no longer do them up and breathe and I’m only 4+4 🤦🏽‍♀️ I am sooooo bloated it’s crazy!! Also mega excited I got an email to say my non wired bras are arriving today so 🤞🏼 For some comfort tomorrow 👍🏻😂

MrsB2019x · 14/04/2020 13:50

I’m out ladies. Back at hospital today and they have confirmed ectopic and I will be having medical management. Can’t try again for 3 months.

Want to wish you all the absolute best as you are such a lovely bunch of ladies, have happy and healthy pregnancies all of you 💐
