How are you feeling if so? How far along are you?

I’m due 12th August, 21 weeks 1 day today, first baby and I’m having a boy!

I’ve felt a bit overwhelmed with this whole pandemic and the unknown of whether it’s going to be better by then! Fingers crossed for the best.

I also really want to start buying things but feel bad for shopping online given the current scenario, I just don’t want to leave it all til last minute and be really unprepared.

Would love to hear from you all Flowers

@StephD2020 absolutely.. my other half is currently sat downstairs with his shoes on ready to go for our 'daily walk'.. I'm hiding upstairs looking at nursery wall stickers on Etsy 😆

Oldestchild90s · 06/05/2020 19:23

Glad someone else mentioned the discharge thing.. was scared to say, thought i was the only one!

Please someone tell me you're also addicted to every crappy food in the world. I'm starting to worry because people keep telling me it's really bad, i'm not eating really really badly but i suppose i could do better. Anyone in the same boat or is it just me?

@JMill13 Glad to hear your colleagues friend had a positive experience, but yeah i worry that my partner won't be allowed in with me.. i'm such a wuss 🙊

Lolxx · 06/05/2020 19:35

@Oldestchild90s I have had the absolute sweetest of tooth’s which is not like me! I could easily eat an ice lolly then a biscuit then chocolate & still crave cake 🙈 my only saving grace is that McDonald’s is shut or I think I would of been there every day as well lol!!

2020Aug · 06/05/2020 19:44

I don't usually eat much junk food, but I so badly want a McDonalds! I also have a sweet tooth at the moment and been treating myself to an evening chocolate bar, I've got some snack size chocolate to try to reduce the amount I'm eating 😂.

Luna321 · 06/05/2020 23:09

👋@Bert2020 I'm due 22nd too.
My appetite seems to have calmed down recently thank goodness as I was getting concerned about weight gain. Being at home all the time it's so hard not to constantly be picking at food. Also I've really lacked the motivation to go out for our daily walks, I'm starting to get sick of going to the same places which sounds awful as I know I should be grateful. We did go out for a little bike ride today which was lovely- not sure how long I can do that for with this bump in the way! I would love a McDonald's too 🙂

JMill13 · 06/05/2020 23:35

Oh stop, I'm dying for a McDonald's!

cannotmakemymindup · 07/05/2020 00:57

I am so sad that McDonalds is shut. The mcflurrys at least and probably a cheeseburger and oh the chips!! I know where they're opening but it's not close enough to where I live yet to do an essential shop near one then pop after/before.

I also really want KFC just can't get southern fried chicken the way they do it.

Beth804 · 07/05/2020 07:38

Hi girls, mind if I join? I'm massively craving anything sweet too - my chocolate intake is ridiculous 🙈

I'm due twins on 21st, but will probs be induced at the beginning of August- if they don't come earlier 😬 x

Bert2020 · 07/05/2020 07:55

Thanks for the welcome, hi @Beth804
Oh a McFlurry would be perfect! With the GD I’m on a fairly restrictive diet so it’s actually easier for me that I can’t get the nice food, I’m stalking a whole load of chocolate & sweet companies in preparation though Grin

Oldestchild90s · 07/05/2020 09:51

Oh my, McDonalds and Mini eggs. Well.. chocolate in general, or pancakes, golden syrup on things, magnums.. the list could go on!

@Beth804 oh my, twins.. congratulations thats brilliant news! Do you know what you're having?

sel2223 · 07/05/2020 10:48

I didn't realise how much i wanted a McDonalds till reading this thread Grin

Welcome to all those just joining the thread in the last few days x

Superscientist · 07/05/2020 11:14

I keep wanting a supercheesey deep pan pizza, I'm normally a thin and crispy person!

StephD2020 · 07/05/2020 11:58

Hi @Beth804 and @bert2020 - welcome to the group!

@Superscientist YES!!! Extra extra cheesy pizza, deep pan 😍😍😍😍 cheese, butter and all things dairy are defo my cravings, including ice cream and smoothies which I don't even normally eat! Having to try and be soooo good. DH is too willing to make me happy right now so would literally get me anything I asked for. Bless him.

Well I'm having a very stressful morning - our mortgage applications have gone in last night and our new house (which is empty) is having the valuation done today. If you've got some positive vibes please feel free to send them my way today, I would so love to get moved in before this little lady arrives!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Bert2020 · 07/05/2020 12:10

@StephD2020 positive vibes sent! We are taking photos and having our valuation next week. We’ve seen a dream house but in a queue to view when lockdown eases/finishes? Not sure what ate position/timing will be. Are you moving far?

StephD2020 · 07/05/2020 12:24

@Bert2020 no we are actually only moving about 3.5 miles from where we are now! But we are moving to a much nicer part of London and it's closer to my friends who all have babies and closer in to the city too which will be great for work (if we ever get to go back!). We live in a flat at the moment and this is a move to a house - we so need stairs, a garden and a third bedroom before the bean arrives! However I'm a big believer in fate so if it is meant to happen it will, just need to try and chill out about it today I think!

Are you thinking of moving far? Such a stressful time isn't it! Are they doing virtual viewings on the dream house? Good to see things are still moving despite the current climate. X

Bert2020 · 07/05/2020 12:34

@StephD2020 sounds good. It’s so hard to chill when actually you really want it to happen but likewise what’s meant to be will be. We lost the first house we had exchanged on the day before completion because of trees Hmm but worked much better once we had gotten over the anger and found our current house. They are doing virtual viewings and it’s got a brilliant one hence I think the reason for the queue. We are loving from Surrey/SE London to Hampshire if all things go well. We want to be closer to my in-laws and have more space for visitors.

Beth804 · 07/05/2020 16:01

Thanks girls! Moving house is so exciting, but even more unpredictable at the moment I suppose! Good luck!

@Oldestchild90s we're having 2 boys, not what I was expecting at all, but lovely as we have a 3yo dd too (Not that we ever considered 3 kids, but hey ho - fate had other plans!)

Do you lot think the restrictions will have relaxed by we end up giving birth?! 🤷‍♀️

cannotmakemymindup · 07/05/2020 17:04

Interesting article from BBC today with a link to a survey from University of East Anglia if anybody wants to help with their research into pregnancy at this time with the Covid-19.

JMill13 · 07/05/2020 18:51

Hey ladies! How's it going today?
Anyone else lost their appetite lately? I have no idea what's going on but I am so hungry but nothing I have at home is appealing to me. Genuinely just bored of food.

Oldestchild90s · 07/05/2020 19:18

@JMill13 I wish i was bored of food 😂 i love it all, eaten like an actual pig today and feel sorry for myself now!!

Has anyone got any names sorted yet?

@beth804 that's lovely to hear ❤️ i think things will be more relaxed by August but i don't think it'll be back to normal if you get me!

squashie34 · 07/05/2020 20:11

@Oldestchild90s I'm with you on that.. you name it, I've ate it today 😆

We are going for Luna Florence as our name (I promised my other half I wouldn't tell anyone, but mumsnet doesn't count right?! ) How about you?!

Bert2020 · 07/05/2020 20:32

I’m bored of food and eating, I’m just not hungry at the moment.
Lovely name @squashie34 we are down to 3 but can’t decide so not sure if they are right. We have a daughter and her name was switched last minute and suits her so not worried too much yet although would rather we had a name before birth.

Oldestchild90s · 07/05/2020 20:45

@squashie34 love the name! We're not sure, we have a couple lined up but i've heard you have to see the baby first before you finally decide. Each to their own though, if you are set on that name then go for it!!

sel2223 · 07/05/2020 20:53

Anyone else getting really full quickly these days? I've still got a big appetite but my eyes are literally bigger than my belly (which is pretty unbelievable) and I can't actually eat as much.

Beautiful name @Squashie34, we're having a little girl and have decided on Alara, no middle name yet though.

cannotmakemymindup · 07/05/2020 21:17

@squashie34 lovely name!
@Oldestchild90s @Bert2020 I agree about waiting to see what baby looks like our. Our daughter was meant to have a totally different name but we used one of the back up names as it just didn't suit her. Also going with a surprise means needing lots of names as could be girl or boy.

Boys names are incredibly difficult to choose we find so possibly a name we didn't use last time and never told anyone just incase!!

Food wise @JMill13 I have a big appetites at the moment although full fast and definitely eating more towards cravings again. So this evening just had to be curry again (last three days) same as early pregnancy!
