@Zaalfruit a holiday sounds amazing! Especially since everyone is cooped up at the moment. Cyprus looks lovely.

@bluemoon2468 Wonderful on the results!

Treaclepie19 · 04/04/2020 08:57

Thabks @Quiffy Smile
I haven't sprayed my bag yet. Just avoided it 😂

I've got such a pain in my rib this morning. Really hoping it just goes off because I don't fancy going near the drs or hospital this weekend.

BntTowers · 04/04/2020 09:01

I'm 12 weeks today. Still no sign of my scan letter yet, but hopefully that will come along soon.

I'm hoping we can finish building a raised bed in our garden this weekend, not that we have anything to fill it with. Would just be nice to get it built at the moment! Does anyone else know if they are doing anything this weekend?

Zaalfruit · 04/04/2020 09:04

@Treaclepie19 ooh I hope the pain goes x , maybe call 111 to see what they say?

@Quiffy what are you crocheting? Sounds nice and therapeutic!

I hope lots of people don’t go out today because of the good weather . What’s everyone’s plans for today ? Mine is a load of washing - the back log is bad !! Maybe hit the bathroom and do a deep clean .

I’m thinking to start to write a list of all the essentials we will need for baby and any changes to our room . Alongside the expenses incase we both lose our jobs due to covid 19 this way I won’t feel so overwhelmed and I will know when the time comes I have saved enough.

Zaalfruit · 04/04/2020 09:05

@BntTowers call the maternity ward and see if you can book it in. I had to book mine in, even though at my booking appointment they said they would send a letter .

Treaclepie19 · 04/04/2020 09:08

@Zaalfruit I'm really trying to avoid it if I can because it's meant to be so busy 😩
I've had my gall bladder out but it feels like that.
Wondering if its digestive or a pulled muscle. Hurts most when I try and do a deep breath in.

Quiffy · 04/04/2020 09:20

@zaalfruit My mum has been nagging me to make her this rainbow thing daily so going for that. www.kerryjaynedesigns.com/collections/decorations-and-gift-idea-patterns/products/free-pattern?fbclid=IwAR1_CUEG7N1UOMb0Y0niAS9q_n8l9dTnklH9QYInfINsPrGrRPc4GchU1h0

Baby essentials list sounds great idea - and very sensible!

@Treaclepie19 Ouch! Hope it gets better over the day.

Spark27 · 04/04/2020 09:37

@Treaclepie19 that sounds painful. I hope it sorts itself out soon. Have you got any paracetamol you could take to take the edge off? Maybe try and rest up for a few hours and see if that helps.
I got some really painful twinges last night that I'm guessing are round ligament pains. And my stomach hurt a bit, like it was stretching. Pretty sure I felt a few pokes and prods yesterday as well. Early as I'm only 15w today, but they say you can feel them earlier 2nd time around.

@Zaalfruit, im with you today. Got a load of washing to do, so will take advantage of the warm weather. Going to release DD into the garden too to run off some energy.

Need to get DH to dye my hair today as well. He hated doing it years ago, but im overdue from the hairdressers by about a month already (as I pushed the appt back til after 12w and then lockdown hit) so it looks appalling

Zaalfruit · 04/04/2020 09:43

@Spark27 I read when you are on baby number 2 you can feel the baby earlier ! That’s so exciting !!

Lol love that release DD into the garden . The neighbours kids have been playing in the garden everyday since lock down.

The clothes chore already looks daunting to me . I hate putting clothes on the line.

@Quiffy impressive !! I have no such skills - omg you should start an esty page !!

Indigogirl88 · 04/04/2020 10:32

@Spark27 me and my dp argue about what film to watch, then I always fall asleep five minutes later😂😂

I got my screening back and all 3 say low risk with a bunch of figures so I'll check with my midwife. Still not had a call from midwife so I'll wait till the end of next week to see whether I get a call then.

I've been feeling better in the mornings so doing the odd few jobs in the morning then trying to get through the evenings.

Omg ladies I sneezed this morning and I got the WORST cramps I've had in a while. They've gone now but has anyone else had that?

Treaclepie19 · 04/04/2020 11:14

@Spark27 I've had some sleep and paracetamol and if I sit still I'm okay. If I get up or breathe deeply it's still really painful.
I'm burping a bit though so might try gaviscon.

@Indigogirl88 I get that all the time and did with my 4yo too. They said it's just ligament pain. It's so painful though.

Spark27 · 04/04/2020 11:24

@Indigogirl88, I have the sneezing pain too. If I let the sneezing just happen it's not too bad, but if I try and hold it in at all, or do a ladylike sneeze its agony. That's the round ligament pain.

Just had a really faint moment. Had to stagger to the sofa. Have some squash and get DH to bring me a choc eclair. Think I've been doing too much this morning and barely eaten.

Treacle81 · 04/04/2020 11:41

Morning girls! Just laughed my head off there, was saying to partner how i must still be bloating as nothing during the day and feel and look heavy at night. He said ‘maybe the baby goes out during the day’ I was almost wetting myself 🤣🤣🤣. I have had the painful sneezes and the last 2 nights have had restless legs which is not fun! xx

Morning girls,

Happy weekend to you all :-)!

I got my NIPT bloods taken on Thursday, I get the results next weekend hopefully, I just pray they come back low risk, still worrying but trying to keep busy.

I wanted to tell my family this weekend, I still might as I will need their support either way, I just wanted good news from the 12 Wk blood tests but now I have to wait another week and I feel so bad I haven't told them, anyway, let's see. :-).

So happy for all the girls that got there results back, you will feel relieved I'm sure.

Is everyone still exercising? I've managed to do a little bit this weekend because the sickness has subsided slightly and feel better for it.

I also get the sneezing pulls because I keep my sneezes in haha.

Hope you all have a great weekend.Daffodil

booroo · 04/04/2020 13:48

@Aquablue1123 I have managed to carry on exercising 5x days a week throughout so far... my Pt told me as long as you don't start doing anything you didn't already do you are fine to continue :)
I always feel better after exercising although sometimes it really is a chore to get going Blush
So have any of you guys used the nub tech before in previous pregnancy and were they correct? Can't decide if I'm being to impatient and should just wait...
I had intended to treat myself to a gender scan at 16 weeks but obviously everything's changed now :(

Indigogirl88 · 04/04/2020 13:49

@Aquablue1123 I really want to do some exercising but other than walking and a bit of yoga I'm struggling to do much else. I have however managed to do a food shop and some cleaning today, so taking it easy on myself as I have achieved something!

Got my first proper craving last night and it was Twister icecream it was sooo good.

I've also had a few very faint flutters but not every day Smile going into 14 weeks on Tuesday

Indigogirl88 · 04/04/2020 13:49

@booroo no we have decided to keep it a surprise #oldfashioned hehe xx

LexiM · 04/04/2020 14:42

I have basically done zero exercise, barely even any walking for the past two weeks. I really need to start moving again but was feeling so unwell recently I could barely do anything. Trying not to feel too bad about it and just go with the flow.

No cravings here but wish McDonald’s wasn’t mentioned as could do with one now haha! My brother dropped off some potatoes as he works down the road at M&S garage and they were also giving away Easter eggs so he kindly gave us two - lucky as I had already tucked into my Easter egg meant for next weekend 🤣

I’ve had those sneezing pulls too, glad to hear it’s normal. I think I was overly worrying about things like that and our cat jumping on my stomach etc. until I saw how hard the sonographer pushed at the scan, feel more relaxed now.

I am going to enjoy some time in the garden this weekend and do the washing. We moved in last year and our garden is blank, I wish I had been organised weeks ago and brought stuff for projects now. I am starting to feel the effects of not being able to go out, trying to keep positive and do what I can.

Buzz22 · 04/04/2020 15:23

Got our screening results in the post surprisingly quickly. Came in 3 days. Low risk for all 3.

@booroo I did nub tech as a bit of fun. Seems like they are pretty much 50% right 50% wrong from what I read online but quarantine bordem got to me! We will definitely find out the gender if we can. Really wanted a private gender scan but seems unlikely now.

Exercise wise I've been managing to do pilates about 6 days a week. Also walking the dog every day. Will start doing yoga again now I'm past 12 weeks, im very cautious about yoga in the first trimester. Not that I can go to classes anymore due to coronavirus but will either find some online or do my own. I'm going to miss being upside though! Haha

Sickness has gone, I think I have 'pregnancy rhinitis' though...as soon as I wake up my nose tickles like mad and I sneeze or have to spend half an hour blowing it to relieve the tickles! I also have terrible heartburn :(

Spark27 · 04/04/2020 15:40

@booroo, I did the nub tech thing for fun too. Thought why not as my private gender scan was cancelled. Didn't do it first time round so have no idea of accuracy.

I've not done any exercise at all, and haven't gone further than my garden for 2 weeks. I would go for a walk, but DD is soooooo slow (damn her 2.5yo little legs!), that I dont have the patience at the moment. We have decorated a bedroom and been chasing after a toddler so I class that as my exercise. Even though I have got a definite bump later in the day, the scales say i haven't put any weight on. I think the nausea before took some weight off, and I dont get to snack as much at home as DD is always watching.

Starting to feel a bit house trapped now. Had DH home this last week, but hes back in work next week. Being around DD 24/7 is beginning to get difficult. Also getting regular headaches, which I think is due to hormones and stress of the whole situ

otterbaby · 04/04/2020 15:41

@Buzz22 great news ❤️

Just did my first YouTube pregnancy exercise class and I'm really proud of myself! It was only 20 mins but really got my heart pumping. We've been going for a walk mostly everyday but now that things are getting worse, I'm feeling a bit wary...was going to my yoga studio all through my first trimester until the virus hit and I'm really missing it. Hoping it lets up by at least June/July so I can sign up for the pregnancy yoga courses 😢

Did everyone get weighed at their 12 week scan? I put on 2.5kg and I'm not sure if that's normal or all the ice cream sandwiches...

LostinAusten2 · 04/04/2020 16:59

Hey thanks for setting up the new thread!

Just wanted to sympathise with (1) the sneezing cramps - so bad! (2) doing no exercise, I’m still really proud of myself if I just get through the day without throwing up - though beginning to feel less nausea more light headed - you win some you lose some 😄

And husband has already built bookshelves today (me supervising) so I figure we can veg-out for the rest of the afternoon... maybe MarioKart counts as exercise?

Indigogirl88 · 04/04/2020 18:16

Loving this thread today. I'm ap glad other people have had pokes or accidents to the bump as I was worried as dp rolled over last night and waked his arm on my bump in his sleep! @LexiM mmmmm easter eggs...

Spark27 · 04/04/2020 18:27

@otterbaby, I wasnt weighed at my scan. Relying on my own scales, but they're not great. Your message made me want ice cream, so I had to raid DDs stash.
And reading the last one i now want easter egg chocolate Grin

Treaclepie19 · 04/04/2020 19:34

@Indigogirl88 last pregnancy my then 3yo jumped on my stomach, knees first.
It happens!
