Looks like I won't be having my scan for about 2 weeks yet. She said today I should get my letter next week and hopefully it will be the week after. I've not been given my green notes yet as the midwife said it's all changing at the moment and they are keeping hold of them until the first scan.

Hey ladies, I've just had an email from Nub Tech Ltd offering 20% off all of their gender prediction services. I used them a few weeks ago so guessing that's why I got the email to share with friends. The code is 20OFF if anyone was interested. Just to add, I do not work for Nub Tech, nor know anyone who does, nor benefit from this in anyway. And as the website it's not 100% reliable, so dont blame me for any wrong predictions. But just if anyone is interested.....

My scan went amazing! So very exciting. It was scary going in alone and I was worried I was going to get chucked out for a high temp at 37.5 (37.8 is cut off) but I think it was the stress. Once you see your blob on screen it doesnt really doesnt matter. So, very in love. Sonographer gave me SEVEN photos ahaha and let me take a video. There's even one of them waving

@bnttowers sorry you have a bit of a wait for yours.. how far along are you currently?

@Treaclepie19 good luck for your scan tomorrow and hope you enjoy it. Was it yourself who was anxious about the nuchal measurement? If so, hoping for a nice low result for you and you have a great sense relief after

@Quiffy delighted for you! Congrats 😊 Out of curiousity, and if you don't mind me asking, what gender did they say? Or will it take a while to get the result? Gonna take a stab in the dark and say boy, but I'm clueless lol

@quiffy those are such good photos! I was told today that I'm at risk of the possibility of having gestational diabetes as well, just going to up the veg and try and do a bit more exercise I think and hopefully that will sort it.

@glitterbug86 I'm 11+3 at the moment, kinda expecting it not to be for another 2 weeks. Just fed up of waiting, everything seems to take so much longer here than anywhere else.

Yay for scan days! Glad both your scans went well, mine did too. It was such a whirlwind of a morning and I agree once I was in there it was all fine.

Baby’s new estimated due date is 14th October, so few days later than originally guessed but I’m glad as (providing it’s all back to normal) by work is really busy in September, so every extra day I can get will be good! 😄

So thrilled to be able to share with everyone too!

I'll be 13+3 tomorrow and mine has been booked for 4 weeks so it's felt ages.

My 20 week scan is booked in for when I'm 18+1 though so I'll be way ahead for that 😂

@Quiffy that's so interesting. Awh sounds like your gut may turn out to be right 🥰

Part of me would love to do it, even just for fun, but I know I'll get totally attached to whatever it says, even though they say it's not always accurate. So figure it's prob best to wait another few weeks to find out with a bit more of a degree of accuracy (though I know even then sometimes they get it wrong!). I think mine looks like a girl but we shall see! 😀

@Treaclepie19 what time is your scan tomorrow? I guess they will tell you your measurement right then? Will have everything crossed for you for a great result tomorrow ❤️

@Glitterbug86 it's at 11am, yeah they will tell me at the time. I just so hope it's okay.
I'll update once I'm back home and clean 😂

@BntTowers I know... I used to love veg but cake tastes so much better now... haha One of my bloods was for sugars today and I was thinking about the two pieces of birthday cake I had yesterday. We can get on the veg and low sugar train!

@Glitterbug86 Defo wait if you don't to get attached to the idea. It won't be long until the 20 week scans now anyway and maybe the private scan places will open up again soon.

@Treaclepie19 if I have to wait 4 weeks they might as well just skip it... I'll be about 15/16 weeks by then... Anyway, good luck for your scan tomorrow, make sure to put a photo up it is lovely seeing them all.

@Quiffy yeah, it just doesn't sound very fun. Don't eat a massive amount of sweet things anyway. Just another stress to add on top of everything.

@Bnttowers sorry that's what I mean, the max it could be for you now is about 2 and a half weeks. They can't do the screenings after 14+3.

@Treaclepie19 not to worry, just a bit stressed out with WFH stuff at the moment and not seeming to get anywhere with the scan.

@Bnttowers I can understand that, I hope they surprise you with a scan not too far away. A lot of appointments are being cancelled so 🤞 they can squeeze you in quickly.

Oh gosh congrats all to the recent scans , I think @Buzz22 @Treacle81and @Quiffy - hope I didn’t miss anyone!
I am extra excited / nervous for tomorrow. 3.30pm eeeeek. Have all those who have had scans now told family and friends? We haven’t breathed a word yet as it’s our first and still kind of can’t quite believe it’s happening.

PS I am absolutely massive - feel like bump looks like six months! Need to stop scoffing and start exercising but it’s so hard. I went for one run and kept coughing afterward which obviously made me ultra paranoid but I think it was probably just pollen.
