Hi @Treaclepie19 sorry to hear about your headache. I rarely had them before pregnancy and now I have a bad one about 5 days out of 7. My midwife said it's totally normal. Hope you feel better.

My clothes that arrived today have made me really happy. DP and I went travelling for a year last year and I rented out my flat, and hadn't moved my summer clothes back up from my room at my dad's, so I had bugger all. I've bought a few loose dresses and a couple that will look pretty as my bump grows plus a couple of pairs of sandals, so now I really wish we could go out and do things Grin

BntTowers · 23/04/2020 17:32

It's not an every day thing the 8 portions of fruit and veg, I'm normally on 5 or 6, just yesterday there were extra for some reason. I've been so busy today I'm exhausted now and I'm not up to going to the shop. I have managed to find a tin of rice pudding in the back of the cupboard and some jam in the fridge so I know what I'm having for pudding tonight. DH is not allowed any unless he goes out to get something sweet for me.

@roarfeckingroar I really want to buy some nice dresses to wear on days off. We've got a fair few coming up over May. It's DHs birthday next week and I may insist on us getting a little dressed up for a nice dinner at home.

blankiesandunicorns · 23/04/2020 17:36

Hi all,

@Treaclepie19 hope you're feeling better, headaches are awful I get about 2 a week that last all day.

I'm not sure iv felt baby move yet and 17 weeks today, I was thinking as it's my second I would have by now. I'm trying not to get too obsessive about it and just be patient. Anyone else?

Spark27 · 23/04/2020 17:52

@blankiesandunicorns, I am definitely with you. 17w 5d and still not sure if I've really felt anything. If I do feel a twinge it's gone so quickly I'm not sure what it was. Was mentioning to DH the other night that I was starting to wonder a bit and all he could say was 'it's really early. The baby is only tiny. Everything's fine.' I think last time round I definitely started feeling the baby around 19/20w, but I expected it to be earlier this time. Starting to get impatient. I feel like I need that reassurance again, even though it's only been a week since I heard the hb. The next scan cannot come soon enough

blankiesandunicorns · 23/04/2020 18:11

Yes @Spark27 I get anxious really easily and I just can't wait for the scan, although I'm sure not lint after that I will worry about something else! I know what you mean, I feel something then stop and wait for something else but nothing happens!
I can't remember when I felt it last time, about 18 weeks I think. Good to know I'm not alone, thank you

Indigogirl88 · 23/04/2020 20:01

Hi all, sorry I've been quiet today, had a lot on with work and the dog!

Loving all the updates though

Not sleeping well my hips and back are killing me!

I was craving veg, then chocolate so basically the calories outweigh each other right?!

Cant believe its Friday tomorrow....

Mum reckons we will be social distancing rest of the year...great...I'll tell the midwife to stay 2 metres away from my vag 😂

I dont think I've really had any movement yet maybe some flicks but not sure.

Plan on looking again tomorrow at some maternity bits cant wait to get out either

My summer bits are all in the loft but I don't think I dare look at them, unless I've got a thing stretchy

Treacle81 · 24/04/2020 08:23

Morning girls! Headache has lifted ☺️ Although I have been feeling baby for maybe a fortnight on and off every time partner tries to feel it there is nothing. If it wasn’t for me recording a ‘lava lamp’ moment he’d prob think it’s all in my head lol! I’m just counting down days till next scan now ( does seem to be forever away)! Looking forward to my HIIT work out class later as couldn’t do anything yest with that headache. Looks like another great day ☀️xx

Zaalfruit · 24/04/2020 09:33

Hey everyone - lovely seeing all the messages about clothes . I plan to buy just maternity leggings and hope all my shirt dresses can accommodate me . My wadrobe is bursting with clothes already lol let’s see when bump comes along how I would be feeling. A lot of my summer dresses are smock style so hoping they work 🤣🤣🤣😂

@Treacle81 aww good to hear the headaches lifted ahhh so jealous that you can feel the baby - I just get really bad period pain bone pain in my left side I can’t wait to feel baby but my doctor said as it’s the first it might be as late as 20-21 weeks !!

What’s everyone’s countdown to 20 week scan mines 19 days and I can not wait !!

I can’t get enough of kiwis all I want to do is eat them - yesterday was the first time I had red meat in weeks my DH forced me to have two bites - any sort of animal protein makes me gag . I think I will be a full vegetarian at the end of this of this pregnancy , I even craved a bean burger from Burger King .

Quiffy · 24/04/2020 09:50

@Indigogirl88 2m from my vag! haha that cracked me up so much.

When did you feel movements, when lying down? I've been trying to lie down and 'feel' something but I find I end up breathing heavily and can barely feel my own limbs.

Slept absolutely terrible last night. Kept waking up with cramps, but I guess that's round ligament pain. Ouchies. At least it's Friday! I got my sleephead in yesterday, it looks so comfy, I wish I had a me sized one.

Quiffy · 24/04/2020 09:52

@Zaalfruit that's so interesting on the meat - I cant get enough of it right now. My tesco online shop is all meat! I still dont have my 20 week scan date but midwife said not to worry and phone if I get to 18/19 and not heard.

Treacle81 · 24/04/2020 09:57

@Zaalfruit thank you! Oh not too long! 25 days till mine! xx

HerondaleDucks · 24/04/2020 10:00

@Treacle81 glad your headache cleared up

My indigestion/ trapped wind nightmare has finally come to and end. I barely ate anything yesterday because I was so uncomfortable and miserable.

I celebrated this morning by having a penguin for breakfast.

I haven't needed to buy maternity clothes. My mum has been giving me clothes and she is 4 sizes larger than me so they're all massive and baggy. The deal is I give them back when i am smaller again.
I have a pair of size 20 Jeans on today and they are super comfy. I'm pretty sure I shall live in them this pregnancy.

I've also not been a big fan of meat, I eat a lot of fruit and veg normally. I usually have to hide vegetables in my cooking to make dh and dsd eat them! They never notice so it's fine!

HerondaleDucks · 24/04/2020 10:02

My scan date is 26 days away. I will be 17 weeks tomorrow

BntTowers · 24/04/2020 10:25

My 20 week scan is 35 days away, that seems ages! I had ordered some nursing bras, tried one on this morning the band is so short! I hate buying underwear, it always seems so hot and miss. Going to have to wait I think until the shops are open and I can buy in store.

HerondaleDucks · 24/04/2020 10:30

@BntTowers
I'm terrible at buying clothes online, I much prefer to do it in a shop.
I am secretly scared I won't be able to breastfeed... my boobs are tiny and I have slightly inverted nipples with massive areola. (Sorry for the TMI)

bluemoon2468 · 24/04/2020 10:30

23 days and counting for me! I really can't wait - trying to think of an exciting way to reveal the gender to my husband!

CouscousEvaporator · 24/04/2020 10:34

@Indigogirl88 my hips are killing too! Particularly at night, feel like the ball and socket is separated 😭

My 20 week scan is at 21 weeks and is 27 days away. Too long!

Bump has popped though. I’m just wearing my partners clothes 🤣

BntTowers · 24/04/2020 10:36

@HerdondaleDucks nothing is tmi on here don't worry! At one of your appointments talk to your midwife if it's something which is worrying you. They will have seen this before so not to worry!
Even though I'm so uncomfortable wearing a bra at the moment I feel like I have to. My boobs are larger and of I don't I get worse backache and my nipples are so sensitive at the moment they need a barrier to normal clothes! Our bodies are doing wonderful, yet weird and irritating things at the moment.

HerondaleDucks · 24/04/2020 10:41

@CouscousEvaporator I found that gentle exercise really helped with my hip pain and a pregnancy pillow at night.
It's pretty miserable though, totally feeling your pain

@BntTowers thank you! That's a very good idea. That's a real shame that bra didn't fit, sorry you are so uncomfortable. Sensitive nipples is one of the most annoying things about pregnancy. I'm kind of glad about the lockdown because when I driving it was horrendous!

BntTowers · 24/04/2020 10:45

@HerondaleDucks I think I've only been in the car once in the last 6 weeks... I don't drive and DH has been doing all the shopping. I'm quite glad for the lockdown at the moment, I can just wear legging all the time, no office wear. Tights were really getting to me before lockdown, I have a scar on my stomach from having my appendix out a few year ago and that started to get really irritating by it. I might try again for bras online, but they aren't the most fun things to look for...

HerondaleDucks · 24/04/2020 10:50

@BntTowers Snap!!! I also have a appendix scar. It's pretty grim to look at. When I had my scary bleed and they were feeling my tummy... the consultant was like 'What is that?!'
I know what you're saying about office wear. So glad to be sat in comfy Jeans working from home!

Good luck with the bra search. Hope you find the right one.

Spark27 · 24/04/2020 11:09

My scan is on the 6th when I'll be 19w 4d. I can not wait. Even those 12 days seem like forever away

@HerondaleDucks breast size doesnt affect ability to breast feed or amount produced. Mine are fairly small and i produced loads last time. I had to express and when we ended up in hospital when DD was 6w old the nurses couldn't believe how much milk i was expressing and how quickly (sounds like I'm showing off about a really odd thing Grin!) I'm sure the nipple thing will be fine. Might take a little longer to master the latch, but that can happen to anyone.

@Quiffy, I'm so jealous of the movement. 17w 6d today and with it being my 2nd its constantly on my mind. Come on baby, get wriggling

Treaclepie19 · 24/04/2020 11:10

Another one with a massive appendix scar! Also scars from gallbladder removal. I'm living in maternity leggings :)

CouscousEvaporator · 24/04/2020 11:11

Thanks @heronsaleducks
I’m keeping the exercise up but I don’t like my pregnancy pillow, I roll lots in my sleep and it wakes me more than the hip pain 😆 I’ve put a pillow under my right bum cheek to tip me to the left and that’s all I can manage haha

Going to do some yoga today to release the hips 🤞🏻

@BntTowers if you find any good bras let me know, I’ve grown out of all my maternity ones already 🙈

HerondaleDucks · 24/04/2020 11:15

@Spark27 that's really reassuring. Thank you! Hey it's a good thing to show off about.

I'm blaming facebook.. ever since I found out I was pregnant, all of the adverts have been about breast pumps. And it's really daunting!

@Treaclepie19 have you had any issues with yours? I'm very envious of these people who have had keyhole surgery on theirs!
