@Quiffy so much better than yesterday thanks. I am having a phone appointment with the doctor later about that and something else though just to make sure. It's been really unpleasant so feels wrong to ignore it!

I'm also wanting to start nesting. I feel a bit stuck though without being able to go to the tip or charity shop so may have to be patient....

BntTowers · 06/04/2020 10:11

@Quiffy exactly the same here, he had two jobs to do for the wedding: the band and the honeymoon. I found a better honeymoon and we ended up going there and he overspent on the band by 50% of his budget, they were amazing though...

@Treacle81 happy second trimester! I'll be joining you all in a few days ☺️

Buzz22 · 06/04/2020 10:39

@BntTowers I get dizzy spells too. Keeps happening when I'm trying to wash up! Have to crouch on the floor with my head between my knees till it passes. Had a few times the room has started spinning and I've really thought I'm going to go!
I think it's quite common. Midwife says pregnancy causes havoc with your blood pressure and can make it drop. So if you already have lower blood pressure like I do it can lead to sudden dizzy spells.

I have another hospital appointment on Thursday. Feels like I cant get away from that place! Pre term labour clinic with the fetal medicine consultant. Feeling anxious about having to sit in a germy waiting room again and anxious about knowing this baby could come early again...
DP says hes not letting it sink in till we have had the 20 week scan and maybe I'm semi feeling the same. Feels like one worry after another to be honest.

BntTowers · 06/04/2020 10:48

@Buzz22 it's good to know I'm not alone. I've told work I'm signing off for today as I'm still feeling really woozy and looking at the computers isn't helping. Back to bed it is for me for now.
You can only do your best which you will be doing. Even with all the worry about the virus, you are in the best place to get any help you need. Try not to think about it too much until Thursday.

Spark27 · 06/04/2020 11:07

I'm with you on the dizzy spells. Whenever DD wakes me in the night and I have to get up I have to pause for a minute as the room spins and my sight goes for a second. And then I had that spell at he weekend when I actually thought I was going to faint. Fairly common though. Just need to take time getting up, eat more, rest, etc.

I'm keen to get things sorted as I dont want to have to do it if/when we eventually get released from lockdown. Fortunately I have most of the stuff I need (unless it's a boy, then I have no clothes!) After we moved DD into the bigger room I got DH to get all the baby stuff out of the garage, so the nursery is now piled high! Crazy all the stuff you need for the first 6 to 12 months.

Last time we had to get everything, and a new car. Fortunately we upgraded car again at christmas. If it wasnt for this damn lockdown and the worry around that and appointments I could have a pretty relaxed pregnancy.

LexiM · 06/04/2020 11:16

@BntTowers sorry you had a rough night. I’m with you on that. Have been feeling dizzy every time I get up and was sick at 11pm last night and again early this morning. On top of that I had a huge headache all night. Just generally feeling sorry for myself today and I haven’t got out of bed. I keep having a couple of good days and thinking yes, this is it I’m in the second trimester and feeling better - then it brings me back down the next day!

I would be so keen to get things sorted while I’ve got more time at home, the sickness and tiredness is stopping me doing much. Even on days when I feel better I can do a small job and have to rest afterwards, feeling really useless and getting frustrated now by it.

The fact I can’t look at things in person or collect things has stopped me buying things. I’m holding out hoping at some point before baby is due we will be able to go shopping! At least for now I’m saving the pennies not eating out, driving etc.

NWnature · 06/04/2020 11:29

Eek we have nothing! And we started renovating our house just before lockdown (we have moved out into our flat) so total nightmare as doubt we will get back in before the baby arrives. We will need a new car too as we have a two door.

I had a horrible nights sleep really restless and kept waking up from totally weird dreams not exactly nightmares but unsettling / stressful. Did a workout this morning and going to go out at lunch for fresh air to see if that helps tonight.

@Buzz22 will be thinking of you on Thurs. Dont stress about the hospital it will be really good hurt and they are so mega on it with cleaning at the moment.

NWnature · 06/04/2020 11:29

I meant really “quiet”no idea where good hurt came from!

BntTowers · 06/04/2020 11:40

@LexiM hopefully not too much longer to wait for us to feel better and more energetic.

We have to get everything as it's our first and I'm a bit overwhelmed by how much stuff such a tiny person needs! We are hoping to get a new car either before or not longer after baby arrives, hopefully with the extra money we are saving not driving at the moment it will be before arrival now instead of after.

Aquablue1123 · 06/04/2020 13:45

Hey girls,

Snap!! .. on the bad nights sleep, I woke up at 2am so restless and a aching feeling in my stomach. I got on the couch in the end and managed to fall asleep about 4am.

I keep thinking I'm getting my energy back but then have days like today where I'm just so dizzy and tired. Anyway, will all be worth it in the end Daffodil.

LostinAusten2 · 06/04/2020 20:17

And @Aquablue1123 same here - really bad nights sleep and managed to be properly sick before I even had breakfast... C’mon 2nd trimester benefits, I know you must be around here somewhere 🤞

LexiM · 07/04/2020 11:00

Good morning all,

Yesterday just got worse and worse for me on the sickness front, so I am pleased to be feeling slightly better today. I was just counting down the hours to go to night sleep yesterday! Hope you are all feeling ok today. I’m 13 weeks now so don’t think the miracle second trimester feelings is working 100% yet!

BntTowers · 07/04/2020 11:10

@LexiM I'm glad you are feeling a bit better today. I'm feeling a lot better, although the computer is starting to give me a headache and dizziness so need to take lots of breaks today.

Also my hayfever is in full force atm. When I last spoke to the midwife she suggested putting up with it or the drousy piriton. I think I'm just going to try without for now. Also if I send DH out to get it he will get the wrong ones.

Zaalfruit · 07/04/2020 13:00

How is everyone today?

Does anyone struggle with a full nights sleep. Every night I wake up
Multiple times and then I just feel cranky all day.

booroo · 07/04/2020 14:17

@zaalfruit
My sleep is rubbish!! has been for a couple of weeks, I get off ok then 4-5 hours later that's it I'm awake can't get back despite being tired.. it makes me very grumpy lol never had this with previous pregnancy's which is annoying.

BntTowers · 07/04/2020 14:24

@Zaalfruit I'm the same with sleep, last night it didn't help because usually our cats sleep downstairs and DH had forgotten about them so the cat jumped on him at 3.15 and it woke him from a deep sleep with a scream. He wasn't too impressed with my laughing.

I've just had a call to say my scan is on Thursday in the afternoon! I'm happy it's before the Easter break.

Zaalfruit · 07/04/2020 16:02

@BntTowers that’s so funny about the cats , my husband just annoys me with his bashing around movements like he running . Yay you got your scan date ( Good luck, it’s a lovely moment ) , how far do you think you are - my date changed to the 01/10/20 when I went to the scan . I hope baby comes that day 😂🤣

@booroo my mood is so off - everything annoys me and I know because of lack of sleep I feel More hungry as well .I actually turned the tv on at 4am- ish and just watched Disney plus 🤣😂

I really want to do another scan I just feel that if I did another one I will feel reassured that there is something 🤣😂😅 wish we could scan our bellies our selves using our phone .

Luce123456 · 07/04/2020 16:19

Had my scan today. Dating 13 weeks. Thought I'd share this picture because it made me laugh. Baby would not behave for measurements or screening tests🤦🏼‍♀️ I was there over 2 hours and the measurements are only a rough guess🤦🏼‍♀️ hope it behaves for the 20 week one because I really want to know the sex😂

BntTowers · 07/04/2020 16:56

@Zaalfruit I'm looking forward to it at the moment, I'm sure I'll get nervous throughout the day on Thursday. I did have to have an early one due to some bleeding and at the time they dated me three days ahead of what I thought, might change again of course I should be 12+5 by then.

@Luce123456 I'm glad your scan went well, I'm sure you'll get a clearer one at 20 weeks.

Aquablue1123 · 07/04/2020 17:53

Hello girls,

I got my results through from the NIPT and they show low risk .... so happy and relieved!

I will tell the family tomorrow hopefully or by the weekend at least, might let it sink in first :-)

LexiM · 07/04/2020 18:45

@BntTowers glad you got your scan date and hope you can enjoy it! Hope your dizziness has been ok today. I know what you mean about getting things like hay fever tablets, I forget how easy we used to have it just popping out to get exactly what you want/need.

@Aquablue1123 it’s so exciting when you can tell all your family, especially at a time when there isn’t much to be excited about.

I’m with everyone else on the sleep front - can never sleep through anymore. Had that problem very early on when I was first pregnant due to cramps then was ok for a couple of weeks before going back to sleeping badly.

I got a call from the midwife today and will be seeing my midwife in person for my 16 week appointment in 3 weeks time. I know a lot can change in that time but I was surprised as was expecting telephone appointment to be booked even from now.

Spark27 · 07/04/2020 19:23

Yay @Aquablue1123, great news. Hope you have fun telling everyone, even if it is remotely. Nice to have some good news at the moment

@LexiM, that's surprising. I hit 16w next week and haven't heard anything from my mw. Before this all started they told me at my booking in apt that I'd get a letter for the 16w one, but nothing received. Expecting I might have to call them next week to see what's going on

LexiM · 07/04/2020 19:36

@Spark27 funny you say that. At my booking appointment the midwife said I would automatically get a text with the date for 16wk appointment, then at my 12 week scan last week the sonographer said I had to call the midwife to book in the appointment. I called last week and left a message and they called back to book it in. I would call if you think you should have received it by now just to make sure it’s all booked.

Indigogirl88 · 08/04/2020 07:08

@Spark27 snap sill no call or letter from the midwife so I'll ring next week as well to see what's happening.

On the sleep front I keep finding due to isolation I'm going to sleep a lot later but cant sleep in, I'd say bring on the 4 day weekend but that doesn't mean much at the minute haha and not being able to get out much!

On the sickness front I'm starting to feel a little better and my appetite is increasing again for healthier food. I'm 14 weeks Smile

Hows everyones bumps coming along?

Quiffy · 08/04/2020 08:56

@BntTowers Glad you've got your scan now!

@Luce123456 Woo on scan!

@Aquablue1123 So relieving on your results
