@ParisInTheSpringtime thanks for the reply..i dont feel so worrisome now xx

Sakura54 · 27/03/2020 12:32

@Pippop21 wasn’t being rude....was just explaining to you the likely reason why ppl didn’t respond. I’ve responded to many, many Qs on here.

Pink15 · 27/03/2020 12:41

Has anyone had any success with travel sickness bands for nausea? Mine just arrived this morning and not sure if they're working yet but causing a bit of pain in my wrist lol but kinda don't wanna take them off incase they're doing something!

Lozzyloo86 · 27/03/2020 12:47

Hi all, hope you don’t mind me intruding in the thread. I just joined the site having found out yesterday that I’m around 5 weeks pregnant with first baby 👶🏼 I’m hoping to connect with peeps in the same boat as can feel like a lonely place with all that’s going on with Corona situ 😐
@FuzzyGoose using a due date calculator my due date is the exact same as yours.. 23rd Nov!
Hope everyone’s keeping well xx

Hancock2020 · 27/03/2020 12:56

@Lozzyloo86 same due date as me too. Still kind of hasnt sunk in yet, lol

SqidgeBum · 27/03/2020 13:05

@Pink15 I used them from about 7 weeks on my first pregnancy, and I wasnt sure after a few days if they were working, so I took them off, and then I knew they definitely were working! Give them a day or two and then maybe try a while without them. They are a bit hit and miss with people I think.

Addler · 27/03/2020 13:10

24th here!

ACatCalledLola · 27/03/2020 13:22

Welcome to all the new bfps. I’m finding it hard to keep up with everyone! Really struggling with nausea and trying to homeschool two children at the moment.
Sorry to hear that @holypoop. How far along should you be? Could your dates be out?

Lozzyloo86 · 27/03/2020 13:22

@Hancock2020 same! I think it’s because I haven’t had really any symptoms, except sore boobs.. but from reading that can be normal. Still can’t quite believe it, was saying to my other half shall we do another test just to be sure. Is it your first? It’s exciting, but also terrifying! X

Hancock2020 · 27/03/2020 13:45

@Lozzyloo86 I'm just peeing alot and sore boobs, although they seem to be less painful than a couple of weeks ago.
Lol I said to my DH yesterday, maybe I'm not pregnant because I dont feel that bad yet. But 2 clear blue tests cant be wrong lol
This will be number 3 for me, but my youngest is about to turn 12 (the day after my due date lol) and I've forgotten everything! I feel more nervous this time round

holypoop · 27/03/2020 13:46

@ACatCalledLola I thought I was 6 and weeks max maybe wrong but I do believe I've miscarried. The bleeding has got slightly heavier and I don't have any pregnancy symptoms. X

Hancock2020 · 27/03/2020 13:49

@lozzyloo86 I'm also starting to wonder if its twins Confused my dad is a twin, but my brother has 3 kids no twins, I've not had twins yet, and I'm pretty sure I'm showing already, also the week before my positive I weighed 133lbs, on sunday I was at 135lbs and today I'm at 138lbs! Seem to either just be getting fat, or having a big baby/or twins??? 🤷‍♀️

Lozzyloo86 · 27/03/2020 13:59

@Hancock2020 omg twins!! Would be amazing, but a lot!
Ahh I see! Maybe because your wiser this time around? 😂 I really have no idea what to expect! I’ve just been googling what I even need to do, had no idea about half of it! The only other symptom I’ve had is that I cried for about 20 mins after the clapping for Carers last night. I think I may have usually shed a tear or two, but I honestly couldn’t stop sobbing 😭🤣

Hancock2020 · 27/03/2020 14:01

@lozzyloo86 yeah, crying is normal, and from what I remember it only gets worse the bigger we get 🤣

Hancock2020 · 27/03/2020 14:07

Has anybody else had quite rapid weight gain?

MysteriousSheep · 27/03/2020 14:25

@Bluebell2020 the new RCOG guidance (updated yesterday) says all pregnant women, regardless of gestation, should be supported to not be in work if they feel this is safer, due to the lack of evidence. I am a frontline NHS worker too, and my workplace has been very supportive. I’m going to be off for at least 12 weeks, then will reassess.

Pink15 · 27/03/2020 14:26

@SqidgeBum ok thanks will persevere!!

MysteriousSheep · 27/03/2020 14:27

www.rcog.org.uk/globalassets/documents/guidelines/2020-03-26-covid19-occupational-health.pdf here’s the occupational health advice from RCOG, in case it’s helpful for anyone

HarrietM87 · 27/03/2020 14:28

@Hancock2020 even if you are having twins it won’t affect your weight gain yet - the baby/babies are the size of a blueberry so even 2 blueberries isn’t much! I gained loads in the first trimester with my last pregnancy but had extreme hunger so that explained it! Haven’t been as hungry this time and so don’t think have really gained, though being cooped up at home probably isn’t helping!

Hancock2020 · 27/03/2020 14:30

@HarrietM87 I was really hungry ALL the time last weekend, but that does seemed to have settled down the past couple of days 🤔

burntpinky · 27/03/2020 14:34

@Hancock2020 @HarrietM87 - I can't stop eating either. It's literally the only thing which makes me feel half human. Stuffing in loads and loads of wotsits and also really strong cheddar. Can't get enough of either of those. My stomach is huge for 7+6. Am hoping that this calms down once sickness goes. Also I guess it could be the anti-sickness meds making me hungry.

Worst thing is at the minute that I just get a craving for something (right now I just want a doorstop piece of white bread slathered in lurpack) but because of lockdown DH can't just go and get it at my whim! We don't have any white bread in the house as we normally eat wholemeal.

We have Halloumi in the fridge which I now want also with balsamic glaze. But feel too sick to make it myself!!!

burntpinky · 27/03/2020 14:35

Oh and I also want victoria sponge - we do have the ingredients to make one but I feel too sick. But it might come down to it if I can't stop craving it!!!

Bluebell2020 · 27/03/2020 14:36

@MysteriousSheep That's the guidance they're using against me. They've said that because I'm not 28 weeks I should be 'fine' to go to work and they have threatened disciplinary action if I continue the 12 week self isolation recommendation from last week!

Hancock2020 · 27/03/2020 14:37

@burntpinky my DH probably wouldn't go get stuff I wanted anyway lol 😂

ACatCalledLola · 27/03/2020 14:43

@burntpinky I made cakes with the dc yesterday to satisfy my cake cravings. Also had halloumi for dinner but it made me feel sick which was very disappointing. Everything I have for dinner at the moment makes me feel ill. I’m wanting emmental at the moment but I’m assuming that food for pregnancy cravings isn’t classed as an essential trip.
@Hancock2020 I’ve put on weight. I have a bump already. It’s dc3 so my stomach muscles have completely given up. Plus I have to keep snacking to keep the nausea at bay. Definitely just one baby in there for me.
