Carrying on our discussion and hopefully having less of the nausea, morning sickness and sore boobs as the thread progresses!

Not a wine substitute but in my last pregnancy I drank seedlip and tonic and it really tasted like a G&T. Costs almost the same as gin though which is ridiculous considering it’s just fancy cordial!

MoreGinPlease2020 · 25/03/2020 13:45

I've been drinking sparkling water with a bit of elderflower cordial. It seems to trick my brain enough to keep me happy!

Hancock2020 · 25/03/2020 13:52

@ParisInTheSpringtime my DH wont let me drink a drop, I understand why but I had a glass of wine each week with my 2 others and they are fine.

Hancock2020 · 25/03/2020 13:54

I think I'm just struggling because my way to get through this isolation time would have been like I say have nice glass of wine while sitting having a cigarette in the garden. Now I'm in isolation with neither and my living situation is stressing me out at the best of times lol. ( we live with my mother)

ParisInTheSpringtime · 25/03/2020 14:07

@Hancock2020 wow, he won’t let you Confused

Can you have another treat? Maybe a lovely posh coffee in the garden, decaf if necessary? An hour with a book?

Hancock2020 · 25/03/2020 14:20

I'm just eating my way through it lol Grin

cupoftea84 · 25/03/2020 15:26

Hello ladies,

I'm due on 30/11 so a bit behind most of you. Just found out today.
It's a strange time to be pregnant isn't it. If we'd realised what it would be like I think we'd have edited but still very happy.

I already have a toddler so working at home whilst unable to go out and looking after the toddler is going to be an experience!

Is anyone telling their employer earlier than they would normally given we're high risk for CV?

bluebell94 · 25/03/2020 15:36

Well just had half of my booking appointment! Had bloods, BP, BMI, urine sample and part of questionnaire completed and different midwife ringing me in the morning to go through the rest and arrange my dating scan as they're trying to minimise time in hospital/GP surgery. 8+3 today going off LMP so due 1st November but we think actually probably around 7 weeks due to my irregular cycles but won't know for sure until scan. Low BP but knew that with the dizziness already.

She was saying at the moment even women who think they are in labour are having to go to hospital alone then only when labour is confirmed is 1 birthing partner permitted. Must be so scary, I'm pleased we're not due now and hopefully things calmer by November x

JJxo · 25/03/2020 16:17

Hello lovelies!

Scan went great, baby is progressing well and I saw the heartbeat flickering away. Had to stop myself crying when baby popped up on the screen.

Thanks for all your thoughts xxx

Pink15 · 25/03/2020 16:33

My booking appointment is going to be when I'm 10+3 I'm a bit worried this is too far away as on the nhs website it says certain tests need to be done before 10 weeks :( anyone else in this position?

Pink15 · 25/03/2020 16:34

@JJxo aww that's lovely xx

AnxiousLady1 · 25/03/2020 16:39

@JJxo Brilliant news! x

Survivingmy3yearold · 25/03/2020 16:43

That's great news @JJxo

littlegem84 · 25/03/2020 16:47

@Pink15 I had my booking appointment by phone today. I’m not going to have my bloods, urine or BP done until I go in for my 12 week scan. I wouldn’t worry too much, if it wasn’t safe, they’d make you go in earlier x

holypoop · 25/03/2020 17:17

The self referral called today, I had missed putting my LMP date on the paperwork so had to resubmit the email 🙄

Natopp · 25/03/2020 18:43

@Hancock2020 when you find one let me know Grin

Natopp · 25/03/2020 18:45

@JJxo lovely news!!! Xxx

holypoop · 25/03/2020 19:27

@JJxo great news 🙌

Hancock2020 · 25/03/2020 20:02

I'm guessing it's just bloating as I'm only 5+2 but does anybody else look about 5 months gone? Or is it maybe because its number 3, although the last one was 11 years ago Hmm

Workingmama1 · 25/03/2020 20:50

Had a scare yesterday with a small bleed, it was brown not red which I know is the better sort of bleed but it freaked me out!
Rang the EPU who were lovely and I had a scan today. According to my last period I would be 6+6 but I think I'm 5+4 and this was bang in what it measured with no obvious reason for a bleed. However to early to see a baby let alone a heartbeat! They have booked me in for another scan in two weeks but said it might be cancelled. Really hoping not!
At my hospital they have said that they are moving as much as possible to phone calls but it makes me worries as so much is physically checking you (and baby when we are further along!).

canueve · 25/03/2020 21:05

hey @BG1234 congrat's, I'm similar with you, 36 and 6 weeks.

I think it's up to you and how much you can cope, I knew I wouldn't be able to wait 12 weeks to make sure all ok. I went to window to the womb and I was the only person there with my husband and just saw someone come in as we were leaving. I didn't see a single soul in the street. They also make you sanitize as you go in.

canueve · 25/03/2020 21:06

@JJxo very happy for you.

@Hancock2020 me too, I am so bloated it's uncomfortable. trying to eat better foods to see if it helps just a bit.

Audio30 · 25/03/2020 21:26

@Pink15 I'm in the same boat as you, the telephone booking appointment isn't until the end of April (I'll be nearly 11 weeks by then). Worried they won't be able to book the scan in that quickly.

Also feeling so stressed out today as symptoms seem to be disappearing. I'm only 5+6 but I was feeling quite nauseous and really crampy with sore boobs but all three seem to be reducing. Anyone else had the same?

Hancock2020 · 25/03/2020 21:55

@Pink15 I haven't had nausea yet so cant say about that, although I'm finding my boobs are starting to hurt a bit less now.
But I know from experience that it WILL come back.
With my previous kids from what I remember (quite a while ago) is that one symptom will usually get replaced with another new one shortly

holypoop · 25/03/2020 21:57

@Audio30 I haven't really had much as symptoms go today. Today my boobs are full but only sore if I press on them, abdo pressure and slightly lower back pain but that's probably because I'm been sat on my bum all day 🤣 x
