I've told a few people already. We need some good news at the moment, my dh is in the risk category for covid19 and now so am I so we might need people's support with shopping.
I figured if i did miscarry it won't be because I told people.
I told my boss right away as I can now stay at home on full pay just doing little bits of admin from home.

LozEliza · 23/03/2020 16:53

Hi everyone 👋🏻

Please can I join?

I'm due on 10 November! Currently 6+6.

Have an NHS early reassurance scan booked for Thursday! FC it's not going to be cancelled!

I've been suffering terribly with nausea for about a week. I cannot bear the smell of the fridge. In that sense working from home is a blessing but at the same time I think it makes it worse as I'm not keeping my mind off it!

BCJPNH · 23/03/2020 16:56

The same. I’ve told my boss and my mum and sister.
Boss is not taking any of the corona advice seriously though and thinks I should still be working in an office of 4 people 10 if we all have to bring our kids in due to the childcare closure.
I’m only off work because of bleeding. 😢

I don’t think it hurts to tell the people that you would also look to for support if the worst should happen during that time. Xx

holypoop · 23/03/2020 18:18

I think window to the womb is making a killing at the moment 🤣

SqidgeBum · 23/03/2020 18:39

We have told immediate family, so my parents and sister, and DHs parents and sister. If I did miscarry I would tell them anyway. They have been very supportive and helpful where they can be (although my parents live in a different country so we wont be seeing them for a while. Telling them over Skype sucked).

My boss also, knows, and a few colleagues who needed to know.

I think in these times normal ways of doing things goes a little to the wayside.

MissSparkles81 · 23/03/2020 18:41

@mrsAndeke I am exactly the same hun same gestation as you too.

I dont know how I am going to last till the 12 week scan 🤪 esp as I am social distancing and doing little bits of work at home.

I was thinking about getting a private scan but most of the places near me are now closing. Its gonna be hard on my bf too as by the sounds of it he wont be able to come to the 12 week scan either.

After a mc last year I am just hoping that I make it that far 🌈

Ranoutofgoodnames · 23/03/2020 19:16

Hello! Can’t remember what I last posted...had a private scan last week (six weeks and a couple of days) and all good - right size heart beat etc 🎉

Boobs were so so painful for over week - couldn’t bear to be touched, physically really hot and just so painful. This has died down now - still sore but not as bad.

No real nausea - a little bit now and then. This worries me a bit but I am a bit of a panicker generally 😳

Other than all that fine! Have my booking in appointment, blood tests and 12 week scan booked in. May well get a harmony test.

Sorry to those who have bleeding and are worried. It is all so uncertain and difficult at the moment. I live in fear of something going wrong - as I am over 40 I don’t feel particularly reassured having seen a heartbeat - more like ok that was good but now need to go back to day by day xxx

Hancock2020 · 23/03/2020 19:50

Hi everybody, I'm new to this Blush
I'm due November 23rd, and I'm so hungry! Like pretty much constantly.
Is anyone else like this as well? My hubby thinks I'm eating for the sake of it, but I'm actually hungry Cake any advice to stop either feeling so hungry or to get him off my back?

LittleMissSunshine2020 · 23/03/2020 20:01

I have no advice but I’m also constantly hungry.
I ate 4 creme eggs in a row earlier Blush

somegoodnewsforonce · 23/03/2020 20:02

@Hancock2020 tell him to F off and you'll eat what you like.

eleanorsos · 23/03/2020 20:14

@Ranoutofgoodnames glad to hear your scan went well! Must be such a relief. I've thought about getting one but have this irrational fear there'll be nothing there so really don't want to know 😂 hopefully 12 week scan will be a weight off our minds.

Also realised I hadn't posted on the new thread yet. How's everyone feeling now? Right now November feels both super far away and also really not very long at all...!!

bluebell94 · 23/03/2020 20:14

@Hancock2020 I'm the same! From when I found out from week 4-5 I was constantly starving, it seems to have eased now to be replaced by waves of nausea ha.
I'm also a creme egg fiend... 🐷

ChrissyLove20 · 23/03/2020 20:23

Hi everyone!

Can I join please.

I am due November 25th and currently 4+5 so early days.

Ranoutofgoodnames · 23/03/2020 20:28

@eleanorsos I was terrified of that too - the relief was unbelievable. I think I wouldn’t have gone early but for some cramping and I don’t know if I would book in for a voluntary scan now. Going to hold out for twelve weeks 💪 xx

SqidgeBum · 23/03/2020 20:34

@Hancock2020 tell your DH you are growing a child, and until he grows one and knows what it is like, he can shut it. Your DH is a brave man. My DH wouldn't dare.

AnxiousLady1 · 23/03/2020 20:50

@Hancock2020 I've been like this for the last week or so. Cannot get food into me quick enough. Wake up hungry, and if I don't eat quick enough the hunger turns to nausea, and very quickly hanger!! I'm finding last day or two that the nausea may be winning, as despite hunger the appetite is declining somewhat. Before, when I ate it eased the nausea. Now I find when I eat dinner, I feel rough afterwards. Even when I try smaller portions.

Hancock2020 · 23/03/2020 21:05

I'm glad it's not just me then. Lol Grin Its been 11 years since my last pregnancy so a bit out of touch

AnxiousLady1 · 23/03/2020 21:12

Looks like more government restrictions in place. Fingers crossed more private scans aren't cancelled...

NoseringGirl · 23/03/2020 21:13

I don't remember it happening with either of my sons but I've been so irritable the last couple of days and my mood has immediately lifted when I've eaten something. It only dawned on me today that I've been getting hangry!
I had gestational diabetes in both those pregnancies so I'm following that diet already which means it's slightly more complicated to just grab snacks but I'm going to have to work more regular meals/snacks into my day!

Charlottethevet · 23/03/2020 22:23

7 weeks and 3 today... the nausea has really kicked in now! It was just morning and evening to begin with, but now it's pretty much all day with one or two hours of okness here and there... Anyone else feeling this way?
not vomited as of yet....

anon5555 · 23/03/2020 23:09

I'm about 5+4 and sickness not good! Things that are helping:
Mini cheddars
Boiled sweets
Ginger biscuits
Travel sickness bands
Eating very oftern, it's worse when I'm hungry like first thing in the morning
Xxx

SqidgeBum · 24/03/2020 08:17

I am awful with nausea. Ita constant! I have started to vomit in the morning too. Eating little and often helps, but I feel rough pretty much all the time.

I had a thought with this lockdown last night. There will be nobody who can mind DD when it comes to scan time, so DH wont be able to go to the scan. I dont think they would be happy with us bringing DD along. I will have to go alone. I dont think he has realised yet. He will be pretty disappointed.

holypoop · 24/03/2020 08:21

@SqidgeBum I friend had her 20wk scan on Monday, they weren't allowed to take any child under 12 years old so they had to leave their little girl at home with a sitter. X

LozEliza · 24/03/2020 08:34

@AnxiousLady1 I am the same. I think it's constant hunger but manifests itself in constant nausea. I've only just woke up and had some cereal and I already feel awful and exhausted. This is so hard!

@SqidgeBum sorry to hear you are also feeling so crappy :(! My nausea is constant and exhausting but I haven't felt close to vomiting yet. It's like nothing I've ever felt before - just feeling awful all of the time. Everything I do/eat/drink is now associated with feeling ill. I've already told my DH he won't be allowed to the scan as I've already heard it's just the person being scanned only.

SqidgeBum · 24/03/2020 08:42

This is my second pregnancy so I knew it would be like this. I have dreaded it since I got my bfp. I forgot what labour pains felt like, I have forgotten the pain from stitches after birth, but for me I can never forget the feeling of MS. Its hell.
