@inahaze i am so sorry. Thinking of you. Take care of yourself xxx

Sakura54 · 19/03/2020 17:30

@inahaze sorry to hear that! Best wishes to you.

ParisInTheSpringtime · 19/03/2020 17:48

Has anyone told their mums? I’m feeling quite lonely and it would be nice for her to know, but I wouldn’t want her to tell anyone else.

burntpinky · 19/03/2020 17:51

@inahaze so so sorry to hear your news. Sending love x

HarrietM87 · 19/03/2020 17:53

@inahaze so sorry to hear that.

@ParisInTheSpringtime I’ve told my mum and think we will tell the in laws today. My mum knows all about all my mcs etc but my in laws don’t - we waited until 12 weeks for them last time. I think we need to explain why we are self isolating though (because I’m on immune suppressant meds in pregnancy which put me in the high risk group, not because of the pregnancy itself).

bluebell94 · 19/03/2020 18:34

@ParisInTheSpringtime we're telling our parents this weekend. Partly because with this whole virus thing I feel I won't be spending as much time out and about with everyone and want them to know why. Also my DM knows we were trying as I told her when I was worried it was taking a while - but will be under strict instruction not to tell another soul! And I think it will be easier for DH if his parents know, with this being our first I don't want to forget that it's equally new and scary for him so might be nice for him to not feel so alone too x

ohiwishyouwerehere · 19/03/2020 18:37

@ParisInTheSpringtime

We have both told our mums but not dads for now, and I have also told my best friend as she's currently 3 weeks ahead of me with her second pregnancy and I needed someone to ask lots of questions to!

Maincat · 19/03/2020 18:47

I've just had a positive test! Feeling apprehensive as everything is so surreal right now, and I've had m/c before so I know there are no certainties. All feels so unknown with the virus too. I have a 21 month old, he's a total joy so he's my focus for now. Love and strength to all right now x

ACatCalledLola · 19/03/2020 18:48

@ParisInTheSpringtime I haven’t told anyone yet. I really want to tell my mum after my scan next Tuesday when I’ll be 7+3 assuming all goes well. If I tell my mum then Dh will insist on telling his mum though and last time my mil told bil and sil the same day on the basis that she doesn’t like lying to people. They didn’t ask and I had asked her specifically not to say anything. As we won’t be seeing anyone for weeks I’m tempted to leave it until after the 12 week scan.

AnxiousLady1 · 19/03/2020 18:49

@inahaze I'm so so sorry to hear that. Take care of yourself. xxx

AnxiousLady1 · 19/03/2020 18:55

@ParisInTheSpringtime I told my mum. I held off on telling people last time, and equally found it very lonely. There's only so much your OH can say/do. I ultimately miscarried that pregnancy and told my mum when that happened. This time around I thought it better to tell her earlier, so I would have that support throughout, regardless of the outcome.

wannabebump · 19/03/2020 19:08

I haven't told anyone yet...not even my Mum. I didn't tell anyone apart from DH about the ectopic last year either. As much as the support would've great, I know it would have disappointed so many people to know we'd fallen pregnant and then miscarried. So, same approach this time, although fast approaching 7 weeks and the secret is really hard to keep!

Also, got early scan next week. Worried it'll be cancelled because of the corona situation. I read that another health board was only seeing the females for scans and husbands/partners not allowed in. Feeling crushed by this as it's DH first baby too. I'll phone the hospital tomorrow and see what theyre stance is on it xx

uisage · 19/03/2020 19:13

@parisinthespringtime I told my sister almost the minute I got my BFP (I sent the message to DH first and waited for the reply so he would be the first to know). My boss and closest team mate know too. We have decided to wait until the scan in 2 weeks time to tell our parents, because they are absolutely rubbish at keeping secrets.

Slightly bored of social distancing already. But looking forwards to going back to the office in a few months time with a noticeable bump and surprising lots of people (I showed really early last time and was the size of a whale, so I expect to be even bigger this time).

BabyKnighty1 · 19/03/2020 19:15

@Charlottethevet that’s so cool you can use the ultrasound at your work! I’d be doing it allllll the time !

SMcG1 · 19/03/2020 19:47

@parisinthespringtime I haven’t told anyone except my partner and my boss. I plan on waiting until after my 12 week scan so I know everything is alright.

MoreGinPlease2020 · 19/03/2020 20:14

@wannabebump I've got a scan booked next week and they phoned me on Tuesday to move the time slot as they're only allowing one family in at a time and then disinfecting etc. before the next family arrive. That's a private clinic and hopefully they'll still be okay to do that next week - I'll be devastated if my fiancé couldn't come with me or if they cancel. It's bad enough having to decide whether to postpone our wedding without worrying that he won't be there for the scan. Fingers crossed yours is okay and they let your DH in.

Chickoletta · 19/03/2020 20:31

Hi @Charlottethevet - DH is a vet too and we scanned at home with both of our older two. So exciting. I’ve been trying to hold off for a bit longer as I think I’ll worry if we can’t find anything. How many weeks are you? Could you see the heartbeat?

wannabebump · 19/03/2020 21:17

@MoreGinPlease2020 good luck for your scan! Sorry to hear about your wedding x

@Charlottethevet very cool being able to scan at work

X

Anyone else getting quite sharp cramp pains on one side? When I think I had implanted it was pain on my right side and last night woke up with sharp cramping (had been getting duller shorter cramps since v early on) and it’s come on again quite painful just on the right side. Worried it might be ectopic? It’s not excruciating just quite painful and comes in bursts been fine all day since last night until now. Could wind aggravate cramps?

holypoop · 20/03/2020 00:00

Hi all, late comer to the thread.
I'm due in November, waiting on a self referral for a midwife appt, not told a single soul I'm pregnant 🙈

Im roughly 5weeks 5days, due around 14 November

Whoamieven · 20/03/2020 00:14

Got a scan in a week, husband can't come as kids are off school because of corona and obviously with social distancing no one can have them 😭

BabyKnighty1 · 20/03/2020 00:39

@daffodilrosedaisy I had real bad cramps just after I found out at 3 weeks 4 days and on one side more. Then yesterday had a bit of cramps again on the same side mainly. Now I’m 6+1. It seems to have gone away today so I’m putting it down as stretching cramps

Luckyhuman2020 · 20/03/2020 06:46

I suddenly got a lot of bleeding with clots in the middle of the night. Also cramping a lot. It continues this morning. I will ask to have a blood test today, but I am not having any hope 😭

NoseringGirl · 20/03/2020 07:32

@Luckyhuman2020 hope you can be seen quickly and that everything is okay!

daffodilrosedaisy · 20/03/2020 07:45

@BabyKnighty1 thank you so much for replying, maybe they were just stretches :)
