@bnttowers that sounds like a good plan. The symptoms - my boobs did start hurting again after that yesterday so I think maybe it's just coming and going, possibly as we're coming toward the end of first trimester... but we will naturally overthink it right now. That sounds v hopeful that you didn't have red blood for long and not since.
I had the brown blood all day yesterday right up until I went to bed, but it was light all day. Honestly I was afraid I was going to wake up to much worse this morning but there was nothing, thankfully. Waiting on a call back from my gp now ... hoping to be referred straight to EPU

LostinAusten2 · 09/03/2020 09:34

... and good luck @Glitterbug86 as well! Fingers crossed for you 🤞

Spark27 · 09/03/2020 09:47

Fingers crossed @Glitterbug86 and @BntTowers. Will be nice to get a scan and the reassurance that everything is ok. Work is a good idea for a distraction @BntTowers

Spark27 · 09/03/2020 09:51

@Zaalfruit I will feeling ok for the last week to 10 days, but today the nausea has hit again. Constantly feel like I want to vom, and the desire to eat has gone again. I was worried cos my symptoms had gone, and now I'm annoyed that they're back again.
Fortunately DH is coming back to work from home and look after our DD. I've already snapped at her once cos of how awful I feel, and now i feel terrible for that.
We're currently watching the Lion King. Parenting by Disney Grin

Quiffy · 09/03/2020 09:56

@bnttowers Hopefully work can distract you and Tuesday comes around quickly for you.

@Glitterbug86 Hope you get referred soon too.

@Zaalfruit I think this is around the time the placenta takes over and we can see out symptoms get better as we're getting closer to the 2nd trimester

I made a mistake with my anti sickness meds, I thought I had a lot more than I did (preggo brain read 30 tablets as 30 days not 10 days). I only took 2 yesterday and I have two left for today. Because I only took two yesterday, I was up half the night feeling sick and stressed at my dumbass.

I put in my repeat prescription on Friday but that wont be ready until Tuesday after 2pm. So, rang GP this morning and asked REALLY NICELEY if I could get this afternoon. Unluckily I got one of the gestapo receptionists who said she'd put a note on it but who knows. I was ehh so should I phone back and she said "maybe, okay bye". So, I've no idea.

I also used an online pharmacy as I've found you can get 100 online for £20 and it would arrive today. Except it didnt get signed off by a doctor by cut off so it's coming tomorrow. So, tomorrow night I'll be able to Scrooge McDuck in all my tablets but until then it's going to be fun gads.

Treaclepie19 · 09/03/2020 09:57

Same as Spark. I had about 2 weeks off the nausea and the past few days I've felt dreadful. Worse than I did before it went off 😩

@Spark27 glad you've got him coming home. I was just thinking this morning how much I wish my DH was home today 😩

Zaalfruit · 09/03/2020 11:03

@Spark27 I can’t imagine having a little one whilst being pregnant . FYI Disney is the best way to parent.

The last few weeks were awful - and randomly yesterday after dinner nothing no sickness no headache. This morning I woke up feeling peckish even which hasn’t happened in over 3-4weeks . I am worried so close to the 12 mark and what if the worst has happened...?

@Quiffy I hope you feel better - eurgh some receptionists need their attitudes checked out. On that note , I need to order my acid reflux tablets from the doctors they have been so great for me.

@Glitterbug86 hopefully you get referred soon.

Is anyone else showing yet - nothing is showing for me but been looking online and some women at 10 weeks have a cute bloat.

Glitterbug86 · 09/03/2020 11:59

Thanks ladies. My referral has gone in but was told EPU will contact me with app and I likely won't hear from them until tomorrow and app will prob be Wed. Feels like ages away. Am considering trying to book a private scan myself but don't know if that's a good idea or not or even how quickly i'd be able to get one

Treacle81 · 09/03/2020 12:07

Girls that are experiencing bleeding/spotting and due to be scanned, you are all in my thoughts ❤️ I am 10 weeks today and my nausea ramped up dramatically last few days, feel sick all day with no let up 😢🤮. I honestly wish I was sick as at least maybe feel slightly better for a while. Constant nausea really is sheer hell x

KelMcC · 09/03/2020 12:08

Had some bleeding last night and again this morning 😞 Phoned the emergency care line and she reassured me that it sounds like a “cause” of the pregnancy and not anything to worry about (hopefully)! However, I am getting a scan this afternoon.......

Glitterbug86 · 09/03/2020 12:28

Thanks @Treacle81, and sorry you're feeling so rubbish. Hopefully there will be some let up as you reach the end of the first trimester.

Sorry to hear this @KelMcC. At least the person you spoke to waa reassuring that it will hopefully be no cause for concern and great that you will have a scan so soon. Good luck and let us know how it goes - will be thinking of you

BntTowers · 09/03/2020 12:29

Hopefully you'll get referred straight away @Glitterbug86. The only symptoms I've has today are a few cramps and I'm tired, but that could be the not sleeping well and the fact I'm doing really boring things at work today. Really running out of steam with it.
I've managed to get tomorrow off, by saying the plumber hadn't fixed what he needed to last week. Let's both hope it's all ok and we can be seen as soon as possible.
I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow so hopefully they will pick up the heartbeat. It's just hard to stay positive when I'm this tired and there's not much else to go on... Part of me thinks I'm overreacting, another part just wants to know, another is down about the whole thing at the moment. The mental health side of pregnancy is something that I'm definitely going to talk to them about at my booking in meeting.

@Quiffy receptionists think they hold so much power sometimes, I'm sure they get a little kick out of it. I hope you are feeling better and you can get what you need.

Treaclepie19 · 09/03/2020 12:38

@Treacle81 I'm feeling exactly the same way! 10+1 and just so nauseous... but no sick.
Bleugh.

otterbaby · 09/03/2020 12:45

So sorry to hear about all the ladies who are bleeding. I had quite a lot of bright red bleeding when I was about 6 wks to the point where the clinic told me I more than likely had a miscarriage. Turned out to be a bleed site (about 4x4cm) which slowly healed but I still had bleeding for another 2 weeks after! Went for a scan yesterday and baby is exactly where it should be for 10 weeks and heartbeat drumming away. I had bleeding with my first pregnancy as well and while we lost that little babe, it had nothing to do with the bleeding. So I know it's nearly impossible, but just try to remain positive and trust that your body is doing what it needs to ❤️

Quiffy · 09/03/2020 14:25

@BntTowers @Zaalfruit I was too anxious to phone back at 2pm but my husband phoned to see if it was ready and it was - there was also one for higher strength folic that I forgot about gah - so it must have been no problem for the doctor to do. Yet I've sat all day worried and sick as I didn't take my lunch tablet to ration them. There are some lovely receptionists at my GP but there are a few that just want to make everything so difficult for you. Oh well over now! I'll need to set an alarm on my phone so that I don't forget again.

@Glitterbug86 hope you get your call in soon.

@bnttowers has work been okay? Glad you got tomorrow off fine.

BntTowers · 09/03/2020 14:35

@quiffy I've not told them yet, just said there's a plumbing issue with our downstairs loo. There's lots going on in the office today and didn't feel like rocking the boat. I work in finance and it's a stressful time when the FTSE drops to the lowest it's been for some time.

At least you've got all your tablets sorted now, is it too late to take your lunch time one now, does it need to be with food?

Quiffy · 09/03/2020 14:40

@bnttowers Finance is scary, my DH works in it and has spent the weekend working away when he wouldnt normally. Hopefully it's at least a distraction - the plumber was a great idea.

Yeah taken my last now and DH is working from home so can nip down and collect for me.

KelMcC · 09/03/2020 14:59

Scan went well, measuring at 9+5 and wriggling around! Bleeding apparently due to bruising on my womb probably from the IVF and all the meds!

Glitterbug86 · 09/03/2020 15:03

Brilliant news @KelMcC - you must be so relieved. Delighted for you.

WhippetMumma · 09/03/2020 15:04

Hello again,

I had my private scan on Saturday and all is well. We saw babes little heartbeat and they even gave us a little wave & wiggle!!! The photo from the scan is really hard to see anything, but we also got a video where you can see it so clearly (including the wave & wiggle).

She said she thinks I'm actually due on the 14th of October rather than the 12th as I originally worked out.

So relieved to have finally seen that heartbeat xx

WhippetMumma · 09/03/2020 15:05

The scan photo which didnt seem to attach to the last message (Sorry)

Early Oct babies part 2!
bluemoon2468 · 09/03/2020 15:29

I also had a private scan yesterday 😊 got a video of baby kicking its legs and moving its little arms and it's so adorable 🥰 I've watched it about 100 times already 🙈 Measured as 9+6 with an updated due date of 5th Oct (according to LMP I was due on 7th).

Quiffy · 09/03/2020 15:31

@KelMcC @whippetmumma so happy for your scans! That's wonderful news

BecLJ · 09/03/2020 15:46

Hello!

I am new to mumsnet and this is my first pregnancy so hoping to join this thread! I am 10 weeks today due on 6 Oct - the day before my 30th birthday...

Quiffy · 09/03/2020 15:50

@BecLJ welcome and congrats! That will certainly be one way to join club 30 with a bang :D
